    Will My Computer Run Dayz?

What. That computer may possibly run it. The CPU and GPU are relatively weak, but there are people playing it on worse setups. If you can - Update your GPU Drivers and make sure Arma is up to date.

    Its an M1911!!! -minirant

    Nineteen-Eleven.
  4. Hurr durr. I've got 234125425tb of ram!1 Being on a laptop, you're probably heavily CPU limited. Just because it's an I7 doesn't mean it reaches the performance of Desktop I7s. The way to combat this though, is to increase the details. This moves the workload over to the GPU, not the CPU. Which, while not the best - is probably better.
  5. I think that there should be more infections. Being a survival game, "simple" infections would make more sense such as: Water bound infections - Drinking from ponds and pools Food bound infections - Improperly cooked foods or out of date beans Wound based infections - Along with the current infection, wounds can still get infected with other bacteria. Salmonellosis - Drinking water contaminated with the bacteria. More common as a food borne illness. Symptoms include diarrhea, fever, vomiting, and abdominal cramps Vibrio Illness - Can enter wounds from contaminated water. Also got by drinking contaminated water or eating undercooked oysters. Symptoms include explosive, watery diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and occasionally fever. E. coli Infection - Drinking water contaminated with the bacteria Mostly diarrhea. Can cause death in immunocompromised individuals, the very young, and the elderly due to dehydration from prolonged illness. That's just a few examples. The chances of actually getting these will be very low. But could cause issues such as the character needing water and food more often.

RIP DayZ - Yogcast started a LP

And when "normal" people spawn? Great idea! Good luck killing them on a server you can't access sir. Personally I'm not a fan of the Yogscast. They annoy the hell out of me. But put it this way, DayZ is going to get some more attention. Bohemia is going to make some more money. Happy days! And so what if their fan base is mainly children? Even if they are, not every single one of their subs is going to start playing - A lot of those who do probably may not even continue to play. Also, I fully endorse the probation period on forum posts. Although, with this, there should be a forum section where they CAN post, so if there is a genuine issue, it can be seen at the very least. I think the first step should be to improve the community. If a new player joins and requires help, whether that be In-game help or otherwise, and gets shot at on sight. They are either going to become a bandit themselves or stop playing all together. People need to be a little more forgiving and helpful. I also think that the Yogscast and the admin who hosted the server should be severely warned. I'd get in trouble for spawning weapons and gear, why shouldn't they.
  7. Considering how cheap RAM Is now, I'd rather that. Thinking of buying a new SSD sometime soon, so i'll use my old 40gb one as my Pagefile.
  8. Considering i'll soon be upto 16gb ram, I'm definately going to try this. Thanks! Image taken from "http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?88388-Here-s-how-I-got-ARMA2-to-perform-smoothly-using-RAMDISK/page5" That's right. 5000mb/s transfer speed. Almost 10x faster than the fastest SSDs. Seems like a good idea in theory.
  9. There also appears to be an invisibility bug. My mate was invisible, We were talking on skype and he was infront of me; Logging out and back in sorted it. Somebody (Can't remember his name) was abusing it and nearly killed me. Just something to look into.

    Every Server is Same Timezone

Not a massive fan of this suggestion. What about people who work? Not everybody has the chance to play during the day. Just leave it as it is, it's not exactly harming anybody.
