Id like more bow options though also. There are more things to do in DayZ than just PvP - A lot of people seem to be missing out on that fact. Anyway, it would also be great if we could make paper targets or some kind of target to actually be able to effectively USE the bow. I think thats one big assed reason that the bow isn't as "effective" is because it doesn't have iron sights and there really isnt a good way to figure out the range or become accurate with it. Need a few more tools. Sometimes Im not sure if were playing counter-strike or a survival game though... I hope they at least consider some of these things. I know IM bored to death with the lengthy loot-loot-loot-shoot-shoot-shoot-you-are-dead rinse and repeat stuff. Very stale. There arent a lot of options though. You could be barebooty-naked and somebody will still eventually come blow your face off with a glock 19 without saying a word to you... The sling! would probably be good to have paper targets for that too. The sling is an epic idea! TurPPu: The more threads the better I'd say. Feel free to add to this stuff though. I wouldn't be mad if this thread stayed alive at least long enough for the devs to acknowledge it (however often they actually read any of this stuff). :rolleyes:

dude, hes using 16GB of ram on a game engine that came out the same time DDR3 did. Perhaps DayZ isnt assuming he has 16GB of RAM while his PC just goes ahead and does what it does. Im wondering what parameters hes tried if any... We dont even know what particular OS this dude is rocking. Also he has changed his graphics card. Id like to know what in BIOS needs adjusted that would affect DayZ and only DayZ. There is nothing.

http://www.dayztv.com/standalone/dayz-performance-guide-crash-fix/ check this stuff out. maybe some of the parameters would help you. -maxMem=16384 -malloc=system -cpuCount=4 in particular. have you tried any of this? For the love of God don't mess with your BIOS. Thats a bad idea.

Maybe they will leave certain things the way they are... Same time you wouldnt be able to stick 1 handgun in all four of your pants pockets. We can do that now. Truth is you could tuck that in your waste band and still have pocket space... perhaps any pair of pants should function as a holster? that would probably make holsters obsolete though... oh well... they are going to add the rotation thing in either way...

server hopping... thats a whole different exploit. staying on subject; still nobody wants to tackle the fact that people dupe their whole inventory with both the current log in and log out situations we have... its like you close a window and 2 more windows open.

I guess there is a healthy level of glucose intake and an unhealthy level... Idk enough about that to really say one way or the other... thats probably different for everyone. I've suggested the alternative of being able to boil water before you drink it vs just drinking it straight out of ponds and wells though, also. They should go for it. Add the soda machine thing but... add cavities too. and toothbrushes and toothpaste and all that lol

I can't remember a time when the 'logout dance' didn't exist. I've been playing since just shortly after the release of stand alone on steam. I've seen plenty of combat logs. I wont elaborate on the combat logging Ive seen so not to encourage it but I've seen plenty enough of it. Ive also seen (never actually attempted it) and as far as I know it is still possible to duplicate your whole inventory using both the current log in and log out situations if you have a friend that is equally as corrupt as yourself. I wont elaborate on that stuff either. I have seen at least one of those things had been reported but it didn't appear to have been resolved. Your thoughts?

On logging in: I don't recall anyone saying you should be able to look around and see whats going on before you jump in to the game. The problem isn't really that you might log into a gun fight right away. The problem is that the gun fight would occur while you were looking at a countdown or "Please wait..." You can be killed while you are looking at the please wait screen. On logging out: The logout dance doesn't prevent anyone from combat logging. In the event that you log out (during combat or not) your character does the dance. Its like the whole class is getting punished for something 1 guy did. The "dance" - It would be less a big deal if your guy wasn't sitting and standing and sitting and standing. Movement tends to draw attention. You can be killed while you are looking at the server list. Ive seen it exploited and used to duplicate entire inventory. In conclusion: I understand if the solutions offered here don't strike you as the greatest but as is you are just nay-saying. I don't understand what draws you to the thread with nothing to input aside from "you cant do this" and "you cant do that". Did you have something better in mind?
