+1 z spawns need a bit more random (diffrent ranges and numbers)

Im for remove of the arma2 vanilla dmr (its unrealistic), and get more arrowhead guns in the game with switchable sights and range adjustment.

as i said chernarus is small, compared what is possible. A dayzmap could be thousands of square kilometers big, if someone map it

Chernarus is small, there are much bigger maps possible with arma (biggest map at armaholic is about 34000km² big)

Arma is capable to fire up maps with more thousands of square kilometers. chernarus is an old map filled with unenterable buildings. AO changed the building problems (all enterable and destroyable) and modders build much bigger maps then chernarus. All you need are good mappers to build a bigger map for dayz, and arma3 buildings because most of the ao buildings wont fit in european area. (but there are already mods with buildings, maybe useful. so you can build such a map with the current arma2) Just had a quick view into armaholic, there are 180kmx180km maps that are 32400 km² for example, try that with cryengine then come back.

When you have all gear you want out of the towns, and you want live in the woods forever then take 3-4 with you. With 3.4 bottles you can cross the map without leaving the woods till you find another water source. No need to visit urban area again then

Its not dangerous enough because zeds are only in towns, if there were zeds in the woods and plains (maybe they spawn around areas of intrest with loot like the heli crash sites) it would be more scary. Or other types of infected which are more dangerous would be an option. I quote an old idea of myself, where i tried to adress those problems too:

Yes and no.., with arma 2 its better to have high mhz and 2-4 cores, instead of 4-8 cores with less mhz. (old engine) The bottleneck in arma is the massive amount of data which is needed, so a ssd with good ram is more important. AND arma doesnt need a high end graphic card (a 4870 1gb is enough for example) I know this engine since release of opf1.

no just close the launcher after launch dayz with it. the ingame server browser is better too, so use filter with"1.7.2.3" and youre fine. I start the game with six launcher because its great to keep your version up to date. After the game starts the launcher syncs periodly and that causes frezzes. just close it as soon as the game is up.

i suggest a ssd for windows and arma

mit welchen einstellungen läuft der server? falls veteran und ohne crosshair guck ich vlt mal rum (3rd on/off is mir wurst) ich bin sonst meistens auf lu19 oder lu20, spiele aber alleine bis jetzt. 2 bandits killed 0 murders

use normal shortcut to start without mods, some mods change things which scew off some scripts in the campaigns . i suggest getting a soundmod and blastcore mod to play campaigns.
