I see zombies are still hitting through walls -.- One shot, broke my leg and knocked me unconsious with 9.5k health...second time that's happened. Had no morphine, ammo or gun. I just respawned, kind of sad...I had a czeck, matches, knife and a hatchet...could have survived if I'd stop getting one shot by zombies. Oh yea and shortly before that I was prone behind a house and a zombie ran across town to get me...

FYI if you want to take out your axe and you already have a main weapon. Put your ammo for your main weapon in your pack FIRST, then the weapon. Then pull out the axe. Just dropped a whole bunch of shells in a field to pull out the axe, bagged my main weapon, but it just dumped all my shells on the ground. That was fun finding with a black and white screen -.-

Desync at 0, ping good...getting teleporting zombies. Literally disapear from in front of me, then they're hitting me. Through doors, buildings, in the open.

Then there I was prone in a building while typing my last comment and aggro'd 3 zombies.....who needs 6k health? Psh not me.

So far zombie aggro seems better, I've passed by zombies quite closely far, from both in front and back. With no aggro (mind you my definition 'closely' and others may vary), definitly an improvement over 1.7.1.4. Still not sure what was up with that one hopper that killed me though. I also though zombies were suppose to spawn IN buildings...not ON buildings. I just found a zombie on top of a non enterable shack lol. I dubbed him the 'Rooster Zed'.

Well first death of 1.7.1.5...had just over 9k health...a hopper hit me once, knocked me unconcious + bleeding...ate me alive. So much for that Czeck pack I just found. -.- le sigh

Just loaded up a 1.7.1.5 server. I loaded in bleeding...I know I wasn't bleeding when I logged.

Is the mirror updated yet (So far the answer is no)? Me and SixLauncher don't get along, I prefer to install files manually. Edit - Damn it Wus! I think you put up the mirror as I was typing this out :P

Awesome fixes! PLEASE MAKE IT LIVE! I WANT TO PLAY TONIGHT XD Everything from sound, line of sight, gear (axe/flashlight on belt), spawns to performance fixes. Awesome work, can't wait to play 1.5 patch! MAKE IT SO!

Ok I retract my previous statement about zombie aggro being 'not that bad'...it's absurd. I was crouch WALKING in cherno in 3rd person. I was completely around a corner and a zombie heard/saw me from two blocks away...really? My sound/audible meters were that of fully speed sprinting while crouch walking on concrete/asphalt. I really don't want to play this until a hot fix comes out, simple building to building looting is impossible at the moment. Guess its off to Star Craft or Diablo for the time being. I know this will get fixed, just please! Let is be soon! I love DayZ but the way zombie aggro/crouch walking/running is right now, the game is just not fun. I let off one shot with a Mak, inside a building (Btw I like Zombie spawns in buildings, keeps you on your toes) and 10 zombies show up with only 150 on map...please take these zombies off their super sensitive hang over hearing! I personally haven't tried to harvest wood with the Axe slot changed. But when I right clicked on it, in my gear bag, the option was still there to harvest. If it's bugged or not is beyond me. I'd volunteer to check it, but I'm stuck in cherno atm. I'd rather not aggro every zombie in cherno trying to get out or be forced to crawl out of cherno when I don't need to, lol. -
Do they have a overheating option in the game as of now? I've only gone into hypothermia and have gotten cold to the point I need to move or use a heat pack.

Yup, I turn mine completely off. There's too many sounds in there that sound like zombies and throw me off. Although last game I played I put it on...just because, normally its off though. -
I really don't see what's wrong with the current starter gear, it's been nerd'f so much recently I think anymore and you'd see people pick up torches and pick forks :P. Either that or downgrade the coyote pack to that chest pack that has two less slots...honestly why is that even in the game? Do people drop their coyote pack and forget about it or say hmmm 2 less slots? WIN! Other than cosmetics, I really see no point to its exsistance.

Honestly, I would just be happy if I found any gun besides the Mak another player dropped to replace said Mak. Ammo is at an all time high...at least in my games.

I see A LOT of people thinking and saying the same things. With the rate Rocket and the dev team are rolling out hotfixes, I don't have a doubt in my mind this will be addressed soon. But way to keep it constructive and not some rant filled with vulgarities and fruitless threats!

Comments on 1.7.1.4...(with about 2-3 hours of play time) I do have to admit, the zombie aggro range (both hearing and sight) is a bit OP right now. But I have been able to sneak by countless zombies with crouch walking, crawling and using LOS properly and I'm not talking 1 or 2 zombies, this is in Cherno 50 player map, 500+ zombies spawned. Crouch running isn't what it use to be, plain and simple. I think crouch running SHOULD be nerf'd/buff'd just a hair (In the sense of how much sound/sight it produces...which is too much atm). Either that or zombies need to become a little less sensitive. Although, it does seem I'm able to lose zombies much easier than in 1.7.0/1.7.1 if I decide to book it and use fences, houses, pipes, etc. to my advantage. I finally was forced to make a new guy (lul) and got to encounter the 'no weapon spawn'. With the introduction of melee weapons, I have to say. It's doable and actually very enjoyable, I don't feel like all I have is my dick in my hand while trying to find a gun. By the way...I'm loving the balancing on the axe so far for zombies...it's only encountered one player, it ended in failure due to the AK being shot at me, but hopefully that bastard bled :p I just pray axe spawns aren't nerf'd (so far I've only found one crow bar). I usually find multiple axes shortly after spawning and is enough to dispatch the one or two zombies I can't shake or back myself into a corner to kill. Guns on the other hand...the only gun I've found thus far has been a Mak that another player has dropped to pick up another pistol (You know those drops, a Mak with 6+ clips around it). But ammo on the other hand...jesus I could start an armory with that. So far x.4 hasn't been too bad, just the slight balancing issues I mentioned above I think need to be dealt with. Edit - Got to thinking, the only issue I have with the axe atm is the fact you have to 'reload' it after picking it up or switching to it. I under stand how the axe is probably implemented in the game and I understand the 'reload' factor of it. But I'd like to see if that could be done away with in the future. Not to mention it wasn't explained in patch notes, I stumbled across it myself. Other...less...patient people may not find this and just start ranting "AXE IS BROKE! TOLD YOU ARMA 2 CAN'T DO MELEE" -.- I right clicked my axe in the main weapon slot and I had the option to 'Harvest Wood'. Are you sure your near a tree AND forest? Watch the white 'error text' behind your gear window when you try harvesting.
