Other wierdness, I came upon a deerstand w/ 10+ Zeds. WTF!

Also, I thing ADS can affect this as I sometimes get stuck with that as well.

Here's a tip. You're thinking is entirely wrong. The reason? Because as soon as you get the gear that you feel like," now I have something to lose so I'll be stealthy now", you will get PK'd by a Bandit and lose said gear anyways. Are you trying to shoot people? Or are you trying to survive? Now, I'm no expert as I've only been playing for about 5 days. However, I have a character on Day 3 with all but a couple tools. I can cook meat and have a canteen (water/food problem licked). I have a G17 w/ 5 mags and AK74U w/ Red dot sight and 3 mags. I'm a total redneck loner who sticks mostly to woods and always Stealths in a city/village. I'm very careful and methodical as you say, but yet, I'm alive with a shit load of loot. Where are you at?

Ya, I'm new here too, but after 5 days of playing I've picked up a lot. The sim has a STEEP learning curve. I would recommend EXPECTING to die just learning zombie behavior and view/hearing distances. This should teach you at what ranges you can run, crouchwalk and low crawl around the Zeds. Don't even expect to get loot until you know how Zed operates. Once you know Zed, you can reliably sneak around a village/city and expect to find loot. ALL buildings with loot look the same. Figure out which ones they are and don't even move in an area that DOESNT have those types of structures. Here's a tip, at the moment, Zeds cant see thru walls, BUT they can hear thru them pretty well until the game gets an update to fix this. If you know a Zed is on the other side of a wall DO NOT get right next to it unless you are doing a slow crawl with NO sounds. Also, the coasts can be a little chaotic, BUT if you can familiarize yourself with an area you can start making rounds to practice loot gathering. Until some stupid survivor runs by you with a horde on his ass. Good luck! The Day/Night cycle revolves around the physical location of the Server, although some servers offset theirs for personal preference. Just server hop until you find one during the day to start.

Thanks. :) Just a figure of speech. Blowing off steam yada yada yada. Just lost all my loot (the best I've had) to some faggot aggroing every Zed in a 500 meter radius straight to me, then shooting me cuz he ses that I'm all kitted up. I guess this just means kill every other player in sight. Hate to say it, but you all must die, my hesitation just cost me about 6 hours of gameplay and some nice loot. Mostly, its the time that pisses me off.
