How many murders to officially become a bandit?
dennis.ivanchenko@live.com replied to 97ADU Doug's topic in New Player Discussion
I was told it is 3 murders to become considered a bandit, and they removed the "bandit" skin, and instead they added a heartbeat, if you are aiming at a bandit, you will hear your heartbeat speed up and become louder. They are also removing the humanity system in a future patch to remove all distinctions between bandits and non bandits. -
+1 They sound great, Just the sound of the first three send shivers down my spine.

Things I wish were never introduced to DayZ
dennis.ivanchenko@live.com replied to ForcefulCJS's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
You need to stop complaining and play the game more, if those items didn't exist, there would be no thrive to play more, to find better gear, and to be at the top of the food chain. if everything was generic loot, then it would all depend on who has the better trigger finger, and it would turn into a sandbox counterstrike. where only kills mattered and you didn't need to explore, if the gear was that much of a pain in the ass, then everyone would just run around cherno/elektro with makarovs and 1911's playing deathmatch. -
ghillie suit ^^
dennis.ivanchenko@live.com replied to apress155's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Ah, you lucky bugger, i got a sweet kill on a guy today with my L85A2 RIS CWS(Thermal scoped) i ran up to loot his body and noticed he had a ghillie suit in his backpack, poor guy didn't even get to equip it yet. I felt kinda bad for it, but i had no choice, i equipped it and was so excited as i was now a survival machine, equipped with a G17, a rifle with NV+Thermal, and now this ghille suit. I log off after a bit of looting and scavanging, then the next time i log in, the suit is gone, and so are some other items i managed to loot from this guys body. This was probably one of my biggest disappointments I've had in game so far. But, congrats on your suit, its great to have to stay hidden, or get the upper hand on someone. Use it well. -
Improvement idea for the loot economy
dennis.ivanchenko@live.com replied to murhis's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
You have a great idea on your mind. I like the though of having multiple areas of loot and random locations on the map with higher tier gear, it would add motivation for players to go and explore Chernarus, instead of everyone respawning in Elektro or Cherno, getting their basic needs then head to the NW airfield. In my opinion, the only thing i would've said differently is the teleporting feature you spoke about where you cannot log in certain areas, and it would teleport you out of town. I would suggest a feature where when you log in, your screen is distorted for 5 or so seconds and your character makes a yawning noise within X amount of meters, to simulate you being asleep, so then if someone is server hopping, or trying to re log in a high pop area, it will give any unsuspecting survivors a heads up. just a better feature to be implemented in my opinion to keep the "realism" within the mod, since this would not affect players who decide to log out in remote locations. Just my two cents.
