Almost every zombie movie will portray one thing. Man is the greatest threat. Not zombies. It's always a decision a survivor makes that leads to the destruction of any gathering of survivors. Zombies are always predictable. People are not.

Replenish your blood via food(preferably cooked meat as it will take ages to do it with canned food) or have a friend give you a blood transfusion. Or don't disconnect when you have the shock indicator on your hud, as you'll load back in unconscious for a good 5 minutes.

There's one major bug. After a server restart, sometimes ALL vehicles will not spawn. They won't return until another restart occurs.

That would be fine if they could only keep their gear on their server. But they can now farm gear without any threat to their safety, then go where they want with their nice shiny gear, after duping the hell out of it. It effects players everywhere they go, instead. It also doesn't allow anyone else a fair shot at the vehicles on that server. So no, I don't agree that they should be able to do whatever they want. Rocket doesn't allow it for very good reason.

Because I feel pretty sure your opinion of the community has been formed on A.) You dying to other players and them not caring, or B.) the raging war between PVPers and non-PVPers, which has caused a pretty serious divide in the community, which in turn has caused people to say some pretty hateful shit. It's better if you look at it as two communities anyway. Survivors and Bandits. Survivors get along with each other. Bandits kill each other and go 'meh, had to happen eventually'.

Yeah, except it didn't work. It was most likely taken out because of players like you assuming every bandit skin was a bad guy. They weren't. Some of them were simply successful survivors who managed to survive attempted banditry. But nobody cares about that because the truth is, you WANT to murder other players. You just want something coded into the game to make you feel good about it.

And we know what choice the majority of players have made. So I reiterate. It's a kill or be killed world.

What is it that draws the 'co-op don't like to ever die' crowd? I wonder why people see that DayZ is a really harsh game set in a really harsh environment, and they think "Gosh, i'd love to play that game. I can find other people to hold my hand and we'll go a-hunting zombies together! It'll be great!" I mean, is this game advertised somewhere as a Left4Dead clone? Because I sure as shit haven't seen it.

You guys realize that if you destroy tents, they return on server restart, right? Right? Also, that music is bad and you should feel bad for liking it.

Or help sniper teams totally dominate areas. You have to remember, a lot of people play with a group. You only need 1 or 2 people using the thermal to see every motherfucker around for a mile, and one guy with an as50 to take them out. A team sitting still and scanning can keep their thermal up 100% of the time. A team trying to move into an occupied area has to scan, move, scan, move. They're vulnerable every time they move. It's perfectly fine within 300 meters. After that it turns into shit really fast. I mean, it's still pretty weak for a rifle, even at 300m and less. I've been hit 3-4 times at close range by one, and I lived.

Indeed this has been discussed in countless threads already and i'm quite sure everything there is to be said on the matter has been said. Everyone agrees their opinion on what people would do in the apocalypse is the right one and everyone else is either a whiny carebear or a crazed COD deathmatcher.

The scope is incredible, though the minimum zoom being high is definitely a factor as well. Things to consider about the L85(contrary to what others may have said). It's very weak. It's very inaccurate(the most inaccurate rifle i've seen so far, actually). It takes up 10 slots in a bag(Because the weapon itself is, frankly, quite shitty. Any time you DO want to shoot something, you'll be switching guns). To whether it's OP or not? I'm not really sure. I mean, that thermal scope is f'n amazing. So probably, yeah. I don't think i'd be too upset if they removed the thermal, though they may as well remove the gun altogether at that point because it's inferior to nearly every weapon in the game at that point(Obviously we're not talking Makarovs and Double Barrels here.).

Just posting that I disagree with the 'mellow' theme of music. I feel like would cause players to relax, and honestly, in DayZ.. Relaxing is the last thing you should ever do. In fact, if you relax, it probably will be the last thing you ever do. More music like that 28 days later song would be ideal, imo. Keep it edgy. Let the soundtrack remind everybody that they are in a hopeless world, desperately clinging to survival, even knowing they will inevitably fall.

I don't see any point to adding dogs to this game. They don't provide any necessary benefit but they do open a world of issues. We're fine without them now. Pretty sure they're going to suck when they're added and I probably won't bother with them. Except for murdering your dog. Chernarus isn't safe for people. It's less safe for dogs. Who I hope we can eat after we kill them.

Most of the reasons you people are against these ideas is because you want to avoid functional game mechanics(avoiding night time? I mean, should that really even be an option?) A lot of the other suggestions.. christ. It's like you guys think this is WoW. Nobody cares how uncomfortable you feel being at risk of losing your gear. You aren't meant to be attached to it in the first place. Personally, I like the idea of server-bound characters. Find a server you like and play the shit out of it. If they don't update often enough/admin abuse, you find a new one. Eventually everyone will find a home server. A friend of mine suggested a similar idea previously, however he also added that server transfers might be necessary with this setup. Some sort of formal process that isn't instantaneous. Personally, I don't think that's even necessary, because starting from nothing is always fun.

Not sure why it's a problem for you, I greatly enjoy hunting other players. I'm not sure what you expect in a multiplayer sandbox game.

Be careful where you do this. I have most certainly seen a dropped backpack(or weapon) disappear immediately. Don't get me wrong, i've seen it not happen as well. But i'd be very careful about what you place on the ground.

Sweet! Indeed, same with my friends. You know, the funny thing was, I was even mentioning to my friend it's always possible the admin took off for a week or two so it hasn't been updated. This was the only reason we were going to switch servers, but if regular updates will continue, then we'll probably stay.
