I feel as if you haven't used the AS50... If you're static (which as a sniper... you will be most of the time) then your blind fire will hit dead center, as well as that the lack of recoil makes it very effective in close quarters. Not to mention the barrel doesn't warp from firing quickly which it would if you blasted out 5 rounds in 2 seconds. The only disadvantage to having it (other than breaking immersion as a gun I would bother to carry) is that it's an antenna on your back or a giveaway whilst you're hiding in your tree. I think the sniping needs to be made more and more realistic until the point that it has a real skill curve and those that actually take it up won't be instantly good at it. I think this will put off players just looking cheap distanced kills and only those actually looking for a challenge will step up.

Yeah the same has happened to me, I don't shout friendly but when bullets are coming at me, the person firing is going down. Aim for legs, then high tail. If they have a real gun to shoot at me with, it will be a body shot and the Mk 48 is a one shot kill.

Yeah, for how rare it is it's not worth finding. I guess with practice it would be effective but a DMR is much easier to use and deals the same damage, with the M24 being even easier than that and dealing the same damage.

I used to play night server without NVG's, now I have them I still stick to night servers... Less zombie problems and generally a high tier weapons battle if PVP breaks out.

I play on UK8, the only admin I have spoken to is pretty awesome. Nothing suspect thus far. Also FR191 has good admins but the server always seems to lag...
