    Map Nomalsk

Topic was too long and seemed like petty arguments so I only read well structured comments really, but no one has addressed how it would work. I created a thread with the intention of a similar idea however the implications are being overlooked and I think as a community we should try to get an answer to the questions rather than asking for an end product without really thinking about in detail. How would this be implemented? At this point in time the Day Z servers allow you to hop from one to another because of the continuity of the map as you can only have one "character" at a time. I think it would have to be classed as a separate mod to allow the same features as Day Z but on this map also. I promote the idea of various maps, however there are only so many ways of doing this and the implications may outshine the ability to maybe have multiple characters or one character hopping from map to map. Edit: +1

    New Map

So, I personally think that the current map is great and I've learned some important stuff like where to look for landmarks to find out where I'm going or to pay attention when I'm logging in and I've taken severe advantage of compasses and maps when I've had them but too many people use maps on websites that show spawn rates of items in specific locations and it's a generally accepted thing even though it breaks immersion and is in my opinion, cheating. Whilst being a "bandit" is frowned upon even though it's a valid role to play I mean that's obviously why the system was implemented. The only idea's I can think of is changing spawn locations to all over the map; this would reduce those going "in-land" with good loot and would diversify the population accordingly. And secondly, swapping loot locations at random. I know the current system is great because it's broken down into types of loot and different rarity levels but it's painfully annoying to have to figure out all of these factors whilst playing alone and having those who essentially cheat, be able to just spawn hop and town hop for the specific loot they want. This isn't an overly big problem and my fix idea isn't necessarily perfect or even well thought because of some huge factors I might be missing out but maybe others have better ideas.

    How to realistically simulate death

I don't get how anyone could think this up... We were all noobs once, I still class myself as one and my current life has been about 2 hours and I have a lot of equipment (and I don't check the map or look at the spawn locations of weapons). My point being that just because you survive for longer than other people, doesn't mean that their multiple lives shouldn't exist while you're collecting all the loot with your singular life. I promote this idea if only the people that post it are involved.

    DELETED BY USER

I agree mostly with the distraction, I just wish the zombies had better AI, maybe different sets of speed because I personally think them being faster than you is insane, maybe the same speed but never get tired... Also I think whilst starting without a weapon there should be maybe melee weapons implemented just having them being much more common OR have a way to be able to shake zombies. Maybe by closing a door and having them destroy it? The only way I can currently escape without a weapon is a ladder then camp for help.

A Realistic Means of Facilitating Group Play

I like some of these ideas, I'm more of a casual gamer (in relation to day z) myself but I still ended up in a group, it's a small one and currently only me and one other player are together moving towards the larger group but I prefer that. I think the idea is good to spawn certain people in groups around random cities or beaches but not for it to be an option of what group, but in more of a random selection by the game for you to start near another (group of) random player(s). That way you're more likely to run in to others while you still have nothing and form a group that way. I think having a choice of where to spawn or what people to spawn near is a game breaking idea, some points for this could be: 1) Second-accounts or friends of well-armed players could divulge information on groups systematically, allowing them to completely destroy groups while they're still in the initial scavenging stage. 2) Casual player groups would be more able but the hardcore player groups would dominate and it would force those alone to play realism servers to have less chance of being found or to join a group. 3) This is more about the aesthetic, I understand your point from a gameplay perspective however in zombie movies, games or books when do you hear of a group selecting clothing for them all to match and be recognizable (even to those outside of the group?) Someone else made the point of being distinguished in the group is also important. I know the mod is still in very early development but I think a more widespread selection of skins should be available, you should choose maybe your gender, age, race and then have a skin assigned to you with items of clothing being changeable if you can find them in the world (maybe add some sort of wet-characters are slower, dirty characters are less traceable if they're in foliage but more noticeable in cities?) I'm not going to lie, that was a slight tangent and a different idea in itself. Overall I contest this idea for the most part but support some of your features.
