    I disagree, going by your system however using 1 as the current hatchet spawn rate. Melee - 2 Shotgun - 4 Handguns - 4 Hunting Rifles - 5 Military (Russian) - 8 Military (US) - 10 Sniper Riflles - 8-10; depending on the gun NVG, Thermal - 20 [Disclaimer: All Estimates of current spawn chances.]

    +1 for lootable teeth for zombie kills. My only qualm is that ammo should be more scarce and then become the currency system.

    Definitely all for this. The thing I hate is that people speak of TS3 or Mumble, this means they'd be able to track down the killer or the body if they don't take the GPS. Obviously I want this idea implemented but I'm really just bitching about people...

    Hats, Armbands & Backpack Badges for Team Identification

    I agree with the diverse skins being used but some of them don't work with the Operation Arrowhead backpacks (example: Ghillie Suit), which wouldn't completely ruin the game but you want to see if your victim has a coyote backpack or coyote patrol pack don't you. Also, don't seperate the skins into bandit and survivor, I like the survivor second from the left though. And you're right, the hat one is swaggy as "fffff", I think it'd be overused.

  6. A better melee system and diverse amount of weapons would be cool but as I've had to say to a lot of suggestions, would have to be done in a stand-alone. I don't overly like the idea of power tools but some of them are okay. Some of us own things like chainsaws and the power tools you mentioned, as well as things like the machete, katana and baseball bat. I think they should be very rare spawns in certain buildings but not making them more effective.

    Server lock, after death.

    This! What servers do you play on? Not on topic but I'd like to have another player in my group and I didn't think of the server implications but I didn't think there'd be that many implications, surely you haven't tried every server to wind up with a sizable server list.

    People disputing this because it'd be overly difficult to implement. Anyway, we all know that Rocket is planning to get a stand-alone out, in which case I support bigger cities but also bigger woods.

    Pen and paper

    Same, but I don't think (Edit: In-Game) censorship is right. I think that there should be a way to report a piece of paper and this would instantly be able to be read by the devs. The person who left the piece of paper would be known through means of logging so the development team could judge and ban/warn people. I don't think just swearing should get you banned nor should insulting someone unless it is racist or sexual slurring. The lines are blurred in my opinion... but I think deciding what is and isn't acceptable should be made on a case-by-case basis and that's why I suggested the report/dev team idea because it would stop people from leaving silly notes altogether.

    "End Game" suggestion

    -1. My Idea: Other islands equal to the size of Chernarus that can only be accessed through specific means. So, maybe an island that you must use a boat to get to, or a bridge that you need a car to cross. Obviously you could try without the boat or car but you would die horribly, this shouldn't be enforced by a silly game mechanic that says something like "turn back" but maybe just a shit tonne of zombies attack you or if you swim so far out you would drown (maybe this if stamina was implemented?).

    Suggestion: Larger cities

    +1 However I don't think something the scale of New York should be built as it's very difficult especially to traverse it without a vehicle and no doubt most locations would be grid locked as well as packed with zombies. I suggest large cities GTA Map size-esque. Edit: You're right, but that's assuming the stand-alone would choose the same map or even the same set of circumstances for the game. They may choose a different location as a basis of the game so there may be larger cities (I hope) and different weapon selections (I also hope for this).
  15. What he said. As well as I think this should only really be done with RP servers or something because there's no way to regulate an RP server other than this.

    You could hack into other peoples radio frequencies. People would use it for that alone... Also those that play on RP servers would use them.

    Wolf Armouries - Store

    That's okay, it's a free bump for the thread. I don't specifically need a DMR but if you need any random items that you're willing to trade for them I'd take one or two... Same with a PDW. I slightly regret putting a server in the title but hopefully people will realise that's more for the vehicles I want and that they can trade any items across any server.

    If you are 'good' at something... professions & teamwork

    Is that really the nitpicking you're going to do? Well, yes I can make a fire in real life but nowhere near as fast or professional as the in game character... and it was just an example, as I said; "The game naturally gives you the ability to do many things you may not be able to do" I'm not saying that it's a rare thing but some people can skin animals and some can build fires, some can't do either of those... Just like some people can create traps especially out of just objects found in the wilderness whilst others couldn't unreel the barbed wire... The point was that the game assumes you can do pretty much everything but it's up to you to actually find out how. The problem is character classes. Professions are changed on the fly by the equipment you have. Like at the current moment if I have a toolbox, I'm the engineer. Range Finders? Spotter... If I have a sniper too... Well, sniper obviously. Hunting knife, Hatchet and Matches and you're the chef. I think a hard coded class system is silly for this game. I think we should just cut down on the tools lots so you have to choose more carefully which tools you take and become an actual asset for your group and if you're a loner then you could just horde tools at a home base or in your backpack (they all only take up one slot, right?) so it wouldn't be too bad. I've also read up on a decent idea that things like the watch don't take up any space as it just goes on your wrist... I can't think of anything similar to this for other tools but maybe if a radio is implemented it'd be in your tools section until you got a combat suit? then it would be attached to the breast padding...

    But that's also bullsh*t, I want multiple charactes too but lets be fair... The inventory is as follows Two slots (NVG's, Binoculars/Range Finder) Primary Weapon (+12 standard slots) Sidearm (+8 sidearm ammo/bandage slots) Tools (12 tool slots, with only 11 tools in game) Backpack slot (+6 to +24 slots) Although it's obvious this could lead completely decking out one character, stopping playing and then starting the next character I don't think it'd be that bad.. but I think it'd take away from the tension which is a huge factor in Day Z so I'm not too sure. Maybe characters set by region you play in? *Shrug*

    10 Forgotten good ideas + some new ones

    Okay, so as an overall idea I like the thread but I suggest you lay it out a little better and maybe add links to the best versions of your "re-"suggestions. 1. Not a bad idea, I don't think this would work as a part of the Arma 2 Mod though, probably need to be implemented in the stand-alone. 2. Although proved possible, the current melee system is just a gun re-skin and is pretty terrible, teamed with the zombie pathing it's a huge problem but once again... hopefully melee system and such will be fixed in the future/in the stand-alone. 3. I'm against this, although technically infected I like being able to one shot zombies, I think a better system should be implemented so that it's not always one shot but only a one shot to the head, maybe knocking them out if you hit the torso, hands would just do 1/5 damage of the zombies health as well as decreasing it's melee range as well as leg shots obviously doing similar damage but crippling them into a crawling state. Oh, but decrease weapon spawns. 4. Read point 1. 5. I don't think the game could "force" anyone into direct chat all the time, honestly I know it's annoying with those survivors that are magical and telepathic but I think this is one thing that would never really work. 6. Sick, I like it. Hopefully dismemberment in general, for animals, humans and zombies alike. Also, probably have to be stand-alone again. 7. Not overly keen, I don't think it'd work with the persistent work model or with the basically MMO model. 8. *Shrug* Not much input here. Why not? 9. Yes please! Although I think the child zombies would get the game banned in a lot of places so variety is good, banning is not. 10. Why not include this with 6? But same as 6 I guess? 11. I don't even...
