You need a Battery, a Glowplug and 4 Wheels on it.

Ah no i was replying to the guy i quoted, who mentioned how he was looking forward to crashing helos into geared people :)

Noticed a single .57 server today, what's the deal?
-
Just wanted to know if it was likely hacked so i could fill out a report or not.
-
With the amount of hassle it will be to get one going (consider extra hassle currently finding 4 correct wheels separately, spark plug, correct battery etc on .exp for any vehicle) you may find it's not worth it for a seconds worth of suicide that you wont be able to collect loot from.

Yup. 1. Lay down and fire off 10 rounds. 2. Attach bipod, extend it and fire off same 10 rounds. With bipod attached / extended you should experience next to no recoil even on an AKM. Then slap a PSO-1 scope on it for maximum pimpness.

What reasons? Thanks!
-
Oh right he said he wasn't duping, that's cleared up then :)
-
You met a random guy in the woods next to a camp that wasn't his, and he took you to his camp anyway? Bet he doesn't have a camp anymore..
-
...i'm going to go out on a limb and suggest if you didn't dupe all those tents you just hang out with some clans who did.
-
Someone's got a server ;)
-
You probably just aren't on the same server, or aren't in the same place.

Had a little play in Arma3, sprint speeds on MH-9 Hummingbird (very similar to MH-6 in performance) approx of 220-230, even had a really lucky crash land at the end when i clipped the rotor on the ground :P http://plays.tv/video/56193ac7a7e4940db0

Little Bird is well capable of cruising at over 250kph, pretty sure it would leave any of the ground vehicles in a cloud of dust. That said i hear what you're getting at. Hopefully once new fixes for player position / vehicle desync are in it should be a relatively quick addition. I have run tests, and a round trip from northwest airfield to the southeast coast and back takes under 8 minutes including takeoff and landings :) assuming the Little Bird is modeled similarly to Arma3.

Was about £15 when i bought it.

What is the best weapons for a sniper operator
KenoSkir88 replied to kataro's topic in General Discussion
Yeah as above. the Winchester is a great weapon but harder to line up a rapid second shot. Couple this with the option to double fire the blaze at short to mid range and it's a no brainer for me. I also find the Winchester is one of the most easily recognized sounds at any range, people call it the Elephant Gun based on the hefty report. When i headshot someone with a blaze, less people will instantly recognize the sound as "Sniper" when compared to the Winny or the SVD. The second anyone hears a Winny all eyes are on the hills / tall buildings / anywhere a sniper might sit. Blaze is loud but it's a less recognizable crack from range that is more easily confused with other weapon types which helps my situation. I've made headshots at near 1000m with a Blaze, and while this is reportedly possible with the SVD (even longer i'm told) the gimped scope that fits on an SVD means at anything over 650m is 1. a dot, even through the scope and 2. too far away to tell where the bullet landed in the event that you miss the first shot. This isn't an attack on the SVD, some people use it extremely well so I've heard but for me the lack of meaningful magnification makes it gimped in a sniping role at respectable range. -
I've layed out easy instructions for handguard / bipod application in a different thread, think it was called "AK-74 Handguards" or something similar. If you follow all my steps correctly you can change any handguard, and add a bipod to any ak (except 74u).

You can see the last / current server you joined in the Documents / Dayz folder. File is called "playername".dayzprofile and the last or current server joined will be at the bottom somewhere.

How do you craft a padlock? Anyone got a link to a wiki for base building?

Craft a padlock? Base building? Are you playing DayZ? -
You get the PSO-1 when you find an SVD. People like me will generally throw away the SVD and keep the scope, which will fit on an AKM / 74. Don't think you were firing blanks, maybe just panicking a little :) Try single shots.

At 00:30 check the white text that looks like it's on the scope of the ak you picked up. That text is actually attached to the mag to the right, and indicates remaining ammo as a formula since number is too big to show.
-
Yeah that was a bit of a dick move :| though the guy did "seem" sketchy.

I agree for the most part. A realistic "turning at speed" calculation would change the scope of the entire game, making use of cover and other real life tactics a necessity.
