I'd be interested to know officially too. I use the Blaze a lot and always tend to use double fire, i'd like to know if i'm wasting half my ammo and increasing recoil for no reason. Interestingly i have noticed when you shoot a tree from close range with double shot you do get 2 bullet holes in the tree, it's just they're anywhere from 2 to 3 feet spaced (range sub 10m) which is off-putting to say the least.

You're missing a valuable point. When you have been trained long and hard and have much experience using a compass, you don't need to pull it out and look at it real close to see where a 285 bearing is, you just glance where north is (you should already know where north is due to planning) and that's all you need to know to instantly know what direction any other bearing is. Don't assume that because you don't think in terms of degrees, that nobody does.

List above looks legit, save for a few changes i'd make : ○ Swap out the hunting jacket for something waterproof (gorka, not a raincoat to keep in your bag). ○ Ditch the map, since google. ○ Hunting scope instead of binocs since binocs take same space but are useful for less. You have a ump and an svd now, so throw the Mosin and the Swagnum in the trash, enjoy the extra space. Once you have a good setup, it's time to start streamlining it any way you can to shed the extra baggage.

If you had some posting history for me to base my judgement upon, i'd know if i liked you enough to help :) As it stands you are a faceless 1st poster.. so nah i'm good mate. At worst a badly designed trap, at best just bad planning on your part. As mentioned above, try eating something instead of madly cycling the Officer Tent for M4's until you die.

I play on that server occasionally and have had no issue. I'd be interested to see why they kicked you..

First i'd like to point out that BIG WRITING makes your post look a little unprofessional. Secondly if you are going to publish a website in English, you should consider asking someone who is a native English speaker / writer to proof read it for you before you publish. There are numerous linguistic errors scattered about your writings that make the whole experience come off as a bit of an amateur production. Please don't take me as harsh, it's great that you have focus and are not worried about the money side (really?). I prefer to be bluntly honest than sugar coat what i say. All power to you, but i suggest looking not only at what content is on the site, but also how the content is presented. Good luck o/

There are signs of DDOS beginning. Look for a 5-20 second lag when opening a door or something, and check to see if another user is currently experiencing same. If both players get same huge lag regardless of their individual connection then it is safe to assume massive server side delays. DDOS won't delete your bases that is a different issue. As has been repeatedly mentioned, if you make sure to notice where you are on login and not move or perform any action before logging back out in the case of a beach spawn, just wait a little while and log back in as normal to try again. Patience is key, i personally have had upward of 5-6 beach spawns before getting my character back after the server settles down, or is no longer under DDOS attack. If you move or perform an action as a new spawn, your character is saved as a newspawn so don't allow this to happen to you. Logging in during DDOS is not actually all that dangerous to your character as long as you remember the rules in my experience.

Any game mechanic is fair as long as it's available to anyone so this isn't about fair. If as mentioned above the devs changed things so you can't log out with a barrel in hands, or a tent for that matter, is that "fair" on people who don't have the playtime to sneak it all the way back to their base? Or people who build a base on a server that suddenly takes a drop in population? I'm seeing a whole lot of anger involved here from people who didn't like the nasty bad guys moving their base to another server, and next to no legitimate answers to the issue, hence my use of the word ButtHurt. Server hopping is i think something that will always be part of DayZ public servers, purely because to make the necessary changes to stop the problem would also cause a whole bunch of other problems that people would get equally frustrated with. Half hour wait time between servers has been suggested before but of course that makes the game un-fun for the majority also. So Avant-Garde since anyone who doesn't agree with you must like "bullshit anti-game mechanics" and you are of course not in the slightest bit Butt-Hurt... I'd be interested to hear your magical solution that does not involve breaking another part of the game for someone who isn't you. And try not to paste everyone with a different view as a bullshit cheating exploit lover this time, it makes you look silly. Answers please, enlighten me.

So much butt-hurt about public servers leaking through. I did notice absolutely LOADS of private servers for you to choose from when i was looking at the server list earlier. Since the game is currently available in 2 flavours to suit the needs of everyone, i don't see where the flaminis coming from. It would seem obvious that if you don't want to deal with server hopping tactics you just play on private servers.. but i guess that's just the flapping of my mind. I like rolling on public, i like fully geared guys around every corner, i like the ability to change to a busier server if the one i'm on doesn't give me the action i need. I'm willing to accept the extra tactics that a shared shard represents, if i wasn't i'd just go play on a private server. I don't feel as if this discussion has any more to give us, since everyone has what they need.

We suffered a few character wipes during the time in question, but last 24 hours we've all played with no hassles.

If you were the only one on server it stands to reason you were loot hopping, meaning jumping in and out of low pop servers quickly. If you joined an empty loot server right as it was restarted by the owners you can lose you char. Very small window but possible if you cycled many low / empty servers. But yes aside from this ongoing issue, there have been DDOS issues last 48hrs.

Yeah amazing, 5 on 1 against newspawns... Your sniper is amazing too, those guys were running so fast and at such range.... :|

Couple times i've been stuck inside a rock, and have logged out and back in. On login sometimes you can run a few steps before the terrain properly loads and get through the obstacle.

This is one of those whiners.

Still having a good time :) I miss zombies terribly though, and from what i've seen player traffic has changed as a result. More people than normal sticking solely to coastal large towns and inland PvP zones like NWAF. To be expected to be honest, since without zombie content as a bare minimum DayZ is either a pure PvP game or a Walk Around Picking Things Up Simulator with a nice looking map. Explorers are hard to come by, fully geared players with m4's are very common due to current bug with the Many Named Officer Structures. Perfectly possible to become fully geared as a newspawn hanging around Elektro til you find a dead geared guy, contributing to lack of traffic out in the sticks. Less duping occurring than previously, also less hacking though both are still noticeable occasionally. Random character wipes less common but still happening if someone joins a server exactly as it is restarting. Still a great game assuming zombies come back with teeth and numbers tbh. I don't really care if it's exactly like the mod, but a similar atmosphere would be nice.

Dunno if you misquoted, but i made no mention anywhere of your motivation for the comparison. I said the comparison itself was short sighted and poorly thought out.
