Isn't the compass actually 3D so it's just a matter of changing the 'distance' it has from the screen? -
Everything kills you so fast that M107 really isn't much more powerful than say a DMR... It depends on how much 'overkill' you want, because the only thing that can't kill you is the makaroni...

It used to be 48 hours after death, but currently it seems to last longer. NOT sure what the limit is. I'm a happy camper if it's forever.

When playing as a team, there's no time to save a buddy after he goes down. He's just instantly dead. It'd be better if your opponent had to 'finish you off' before you were actually dead, preferably with a headshot. This way, a buddy who has epi-pen, bandages and blood bags can save your life after you go down. All I'm asking for is a 2 minute counter before "YOU ARE DEAD" unless you were headshotted. This encourages teamwork. Besides, it allows bandits to walk up to you, deliver a one-liner and shoot you in the head. :P

This downed state would be different from normal unconsciousness since you'd essentially be at 0 blood. So considering that ESC shouldn't be disabled so you can just respawn if you were playing alone. And disconnecting in this state = death. -
It'll die if it doesn't keep evolving.

AFAIK this is already in the game. That is, if you're hit by a Z while bleeding, you have a small chance of infection.

Well that's almost what I was getting at, a headshot is lethal no matter what. (even that might be too far, but whatever). Lets say you need 2 or 3 bandages if wounds are "severe", then a blood bag and finally the epinephrine (and non-essentials like morphine and painkillers). By having to kill the enemy bandit AND do this in 2 minutes or less you're cutting it real close. Sounds pretty hard to me. Hell, if wounds were severe, throw in a 50% chance for infection. Antibiotics are a rare spawn... but you're even more rarely getting infected. -
Any workaround for FPS drop after respawn/server change?

The only thing that seems to work is restarting the game? Aren't there any console commands which flushes memory or something? There's gotta be some sort of leak. The Shift+Minus FLUSH command does nothing. I guess that only fixes visual artifacts. -

Death is quite fatal and demotivating. If you atleast spawned at the tent (if you had one) the whole life you just played wouldn't feel so wasted. I mean, currently tents last 48 hours anyway, the only difference is that you need to run absurd distances to get to it.

Finally someone with brains. This is a legit concern... But in combination with loot spread that you're suggesting (IMO, helicopter crash mechanic is pretty good), tent respawn shouldn't make this a problem. The barracks should have normal military loot while high end gear is randomly spread to reward joe the explorer.

Because eventually I'll just run off to my tent anyway. That's where I have my car engine parts and wheels and backup weapons bloodbags and morphine. All I want is to make it less dull by having to waste time running across the map. you still need to take a risk to run back to your tent, thats the whole point. What risk? Running through the forest navigating with a map on a second screen to avoid all zombies? There is no risk. @Vyktar: Not a bad idea. A tent might admittedly be too easy, but teamwork should be encouraged. Or tents could simply be made more rare.

Too easy? Well you already found a tent, put it in a safe location, left your gun in it, gone off in search of another gun. It really isn't much easier than say, running into cherno and checking houses for a makarov or something... And who really cares about related? Does it matter in any way? You could just leg it to your tent. The only difference would be a long walk. It's not like the tent disappears when you die. It's not like the tent loses the loot. It's not like it changes location. You know exactly where you put it with your dead "unrelated" character.

IMO, ultra-dark night is reached too quickly. I know why it's there and appreciate it, but maybe it can last for like 5-6 hours? -

So what? If you could destroy the tent it's pretty much guaranteed that it will be destroyed if put near say NWAF.

I thought about it, but in the end it doesn't matter much. Having a tent in high traffic areas (read: popular loot spots) means your tent will easily be found and stolen from. But, I wouldn't mind if other players could destroy a tent. Or flag it for deletion within 24 hours.
