Whats up Survivors!!! My name is Derek or as I've been known on the interwebs for a while as Phobia. I'm 34 and I've been gaming since the 80s, but its wasn't until Red Alert & Total Annihilation (StarCraft later) when I really got huge into PC gaming. I later drifted from PC more into the console realm with sports gaming, which I've been a active member of Operation Sports for over a decade. I was also lucky enough to become one of EA's "Game Changers" for the Fight Night series & was flown down to Vancouver to test Fight Night Champion. During this time I've always been active with PC gaming just not in the social aspect which leads me into my point for posting. So I've recently jumped on the quest to become a streamer of gaming content. Mainly DayZ, but I will also dabble in Insurgency, Rising Storm, Arma 3, Madden, and various other PS4 & PC titles. So I wanted to reach out to all of you, spread the news, and hopefully pick up some of you guys as followers. I'm just getting started in this, so building a following in the beginning is extremely important. Step 1: Remove all launch parameters Step 2: delete cfg Step 3: restart game and reset all your graphical settings Step 4: make sure HDR Lighting is set to low NOT very low This should fix it.

Easyrzz, I fixed my situation by upping HDR Lighting setting from very low to low. No longer am having the issue, soooooooooooo great!!

I did a ton of research last night and there is thread after thread of this happening only on AMD cards with the 290 and 290x being the most common. Read this thread http://steamcommunity.com/app/221100/discussions/1/618453594761930813/

I posted this in the "What is wrong with my DayZ" thread in the troubleshooting thread. I'm completely unsure what is the issue because I've had the game since launch and I've never experienced a graphical issue like I was getting this week. I've never add launch parameters and out of nowhere I started getting the "-nosplash" type of blue background menu with no character showing. Then when I would get into the game it was like my lighting was completely jacked up. It was very dark, no sky existed, and when it rained my character looked like he was made of water with a giant round blob shadow around my character. I want to find a explanation of what caused this, because I don't want it happening again. It was a complete pain to fix and honestly I'm surprised I was able to after I was about out of options.

I bet the game also loads to a blue screen menu also right? I was not running -nosplash or any launch parameters. Out of no where I started getting this same weird graphical issue. It would also make my character look like he was made of water at times. I tried literally everything to fix this and NOTHING would work. I deleted my cfg - did not fix I deleted my profiles - did not work I verified my game cache on steam - did not work I reset graphical settings to default - did not work I checked to make sure my video card (AMD 290) had latest patch - did not work Restarted steam and PC - not change Finally as a last ditch solution. I deleted DayZ completely and reinstalled THIS DID NOT FIX IT. I finally deleted the CFG that was installed and restarted to allow game to create yet another new CFG and FINALLY did I fix it. I wish we could get some kind of solution of what is causing this. I really really don't want this to happen again.

I get drops in the 40s in average small villages and smaller cities but nothing below the 40s. Its not until the big ones like Elektro which I get some bigger slow downs. Now even in those towns, I've yet to have any kind of slow down where its like slide show. I've run MSI Afterburner and all my temps look great, full utilization of my procs and video card.

Thats very weird, I run a stock i5-4690k which I never overclocked. 8 gigs of ram Gskill 1600 ram, and a AMD 290. I run everything maxed out with no "performance" tweaks. I get 60+ everywhere but the biggest cities, I'll drop to the 40s with slight hiccups in the 20s every once in a while.

Main issue I run into on .57 is weapons disappearing randomly when dropped.
