Damn right I do. I'm not about to risk my beans. I don't actively seek out players to kill, but if they're close enough to be a threat then I take them out. I'm not here to make friends with randoms. I already have friends that I play this with. Anyways, that's not the point. The point is that I'm positive what you said is not true. Earlier today I was in elektro getting some gear for my freshly spawned character. I had a lee enfield and another survivor with a revolver walks in and shoots me. I survived the shot and killed him. It counted as a murder. He's the only player I've killed on this life and I very clearly have one murder in my debug window. -

I don't think this will really work. Even if you wanted to play as a hero, it'd be extremely hard and even impossible at times. If getting murders causes you to become a bandit, what is a hero suppose to do when he's attacked by a freshly spawned survivor that just found his first gun? The guy isn't a bandit yet, but he's still attacking you and if you return fire then you become the bandit. That leaves two options if you want to remain a hero, you either alt f4 or you try to run and risk getting shot in the ass while running, but you can't fight back in this particular situation. -
Respawn in Boats to prevent spawn spam and unwanted spawnpoints

Hello. I've noticed there's a bit of a problem with how the respawn works in this game. People want to spawn with their friends so they spam respawn, but constantly respawning puts too much stress on the servers. I believe I have an idea to allow people to quickly regroup with their friends and will also keep them from running back to their corpse instantly. Allow players to spawn off in the ocean on a boat of some sort. Make it so the boats only have a limited amount of gas so people can't stay in them forever and also make the boats despawn upon exiting the boat. I think this would be a good way to allow players to meet with friends while also preventing players spamming spawn points until they get the closest one to their bodies. -
Stay away from the hacker infested Russian servers...

D/Cing is acceptable when it's against a hacker man. I mean what the hell are you suppose to do against an invincible hacker with auto aim? @OP Not all RU servers have hackers just like not all US servers have hackers. -
Exactly man. People spend so much time complaining instead of trying to think of solutions. People need to realize this is a sandbox game and they can do ANYTHING. Instead of bitching about the mechanics of PvP, they should be thinking of ways to bend it to their favor. It's so much more satisfying when players integrate an organic solution to a problem instead of game developers implementing artificial rules to limit what we can do ingame.

I only hide them if I'm near the coast and they had decent weapons on their body because I don't want anyone in the immediate area to get a free gun to kill with me and I don't want the person I killed to come back, claim his gun, and try to kill me with it. If I'm not near the coast then I honestly don't worry too much about it.

I don't understand these people. It's like they only think of themselves. "Oh, I don't like player killing so this game will fail if the player killing isn't stopped" Every stop to think that maybe some people like the PK aspect of the game? That's the whole reason I was interested in this game. I had been waiting for a hardcore pvp mmo with permadeath and corpse looting. No MMO delivered, but day z has taken that place for me. If you don't like PKing, play a different game that doesn't allow it. -

Populated night time server right now?

Yeah that's exactly how it was for me lol. After playing at night for awhile, I didn't want to go to a day time server. Also, try US 100. That's where I play. There's usually 15-25 people even at night and that's about as big a night time server as you're likely to find. -
Make sure you're clicking the save tent option everytime. Also make sure the tent is in bounds on the map and not out of bounds. Other than that, tents can be pretty buggy so good luck.

And all three of those tools scream "Kill me!" to any nearby players lol. I play almost exclusively on night time servers because I enjoy the extra challenge, but there have definitely been a lot of times where I've been killed for trying to use a light haha. I can see why he'd want to make sure he's on a day time server. OP, there's nothing wrong with that. However, the next patch will track how many times you connect and disconnect and will stop you from switching too much, so try to find a couple of servers you like and memorize the names of them to reduce the amount of times you hop servers.

Quick Question about guns found in game.

Oh yeah, for sure there's no way you could know if an AS50 was hacked or not, but there are some weapons that are obviously hacked because they aren't in the game. If you're going around with a camo G36C SD then It's safe to assume you could get in some trouble. Being able to mark other players like that wouldn't be very fair imo. If you can give a bandit a reddish hue, that would automatically make him extremely easy to see because almost everything else in Day Z is green or brown. -

I don't think that's right. I recall seeing a post by rocket saying that if you carry a hacked weapon, you could be flagged as a hacker whether you're the one that spawned it or not. It was awhile ago that I saw that though and I'm too lazy to look it up. Anyways, OP, to be safe, just throw the gun away and hide the hackers body. That's one less hacked weapon floating around. -
I don't look for crash sites when I'm driving but sometimes when I'm at the grocery store I think "I should kill everyone here and make off with all the beans"

For the people saying the antibiotics don't spawn in the boxes, that's not true. Every I've found antibiotics, they were in one of the boxes. And for the guy saying antibiotics wouldn't be that rare in real life, I think they'd be extremely rare in a case like this. As soon as the zombie disease/virus started, hospitals would be trying to treat people with antibiotics. And once society has completely collapsed, antibiotics would be worth more than gold.

I agree. My friends and I have been trying to find a car for days, even switching between multiple servers, but with no luck. I think most servers have a group of players that have just stocked up all the vehicles somewhere. It's kind of lame. Feels like the only way we'll ever get a car is if we open our own servers.

I found 6 alice packs and 1 czech packs in the same market once. It was pretty funny.

I'm interested to see how this will work. On one hand, I'm glad that it'll somewhat put a stop to players who alt f4 at the first sign of trouble. On the other hand, I'm worried it might affect me and my friends while we're trying to find a good server to play on. It usually takes us awhile to find a server that's the right time of day (a lot of the advertised time zones on servers are incorrect), one that runs smoothly, and one that all of us can connect to reliably. I'd prefer to see the initial solution for alt f4'ers that you talked about, where the players bodies would stick around for a few seconds after logging, but I'm guessing you ran into problems when you tried to implement that? I won't judge until I see it in action. I hope it works well enough to stop alt f4'ers, but doesn't hinder me and my friends from trying to find a good server.
