I wasn't aware that there was an update, since steam automatically did it for me and there was no warning when joining a server. How do you check the version that the server is running, though? On the server list, everything is just listed as Dayz_auto under map & version.

I don't have a problem with the text alerts, but at the moment it seems to be bugged. I'll get messages that say I need a drink, then I'll take a drink and it'll tell me my thirst is quenched and 2 seconds later it'll tell me I'm thirsty again.

It doesn't appear to be a 24 hour cycle anymore. I was playing from 3pm-6pm on a server in my timezone and it was pitch black the entire time. The same servers are still pitch black when I logged on a few minutes ago. I'm not sure how the system works, but it doesn't seem to be going by the server's timezone. It doesn't bother me all that much since I like playing at night, but it is something I've noticed. A lot of servers seem to be night time 24/7 as far as I can tell.

So if anyone has bought this... Can you confirm that you can already play it? And if you've bought it, were you able to activate on steam?

I stopped playing like a month ago. It wasn't because of hacking or anything, I've just become bored of it all. I've gotten all the high end gear, vehicles, etc. and I know all the spots on the map, so there's not really anything new to try out. I'll still be buying the standalone when it comes out, who knows, maybe rocket will add some more to the game that will keep me interested.

Yes I'd like to see it return when it's fixed though (where it's not so hard to remove and people can no longer exploit places with it that make it impossible to remove)

It's against the rules to have a private day z server. Basically the hive will black list you the second you set it as private.

It won't stop anything. You know the hive is cross server right? People can just get their duped weapons on other servers and come back to your server. All you'd be doing is wasting your time.

I can confirm that the artifacts are still an issue. I didn't have any issues with artifacts in 1.7.2.4 so this patch actually introduced them to the game for me personally. Also, a little feedback about the slower zeds, I like that they don't run like crazy mofos on crack anymore, but I think they're way too easy to deal with now for a person thats played day z for more than a day. It'll help the noobs out a lot but vet players like myself aren't ever going to have troubles with zeds now. You can out run them while crouch running. I think the compensate for their slower speeds, you should add more zeds. That'd be a little more fun I think. Zombies in most movies/comics/books etc. aren't ever really threatening due to their speed, they're threatening due to their sheer numbers. I think it'd be cool to have huge mobs of zombies swarming around.

There's a difference between criticism and straight up insulting people. You did the latter when you start your post off by calling them "scum of the earth" and "autistic". Speaking of criticism, here's a little for you: Grow up. The guys that are into pony cartoons are honestly showing more maturity than you right now. If you don't like the show, fine, neither do I, but you don't see me insulting them at every turn because I could care less what they're into. Hey, nice thread. I appreciate that you took the time to put this all together. I think it may be time to do a little cleaning up though. Some of the links contain outdated information, for example in this thread http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/1154-gau-12/#entry12289 Rocket says it's not ok to have hacked weapons in your inventory and that you will be banned for it, then later in this thread he says the exact opposite http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/46844-hackers/#entry446536 So as you can see some of the info is outdated in these posts. I just happened to see this earlier when having a discussion on the boards about hacked weapons. I know it's probably a huge pain to keep this post maintained but it could use a little love if you get the time.

I was talking about AS50s that had been created through hacks. I know they exist within the game.
