thanks for the tip, ill try it asap. big tents -> military & car tent how did you access the unseen slots in the car tent without newui? you can put stuff down there by dragging it to the upper grey band of the tent, but get it back? greets -
super secret pro tip here: read the status report what you cant learn there: item cleanup doesnt work as intended, items often - not always - remain longer than intended

idk, remains speculation. but if well balanced (extreme high effort to get going & maintain) a single tank per server could be a cool endgame feature for clan vs clan pvp and would serve as a dynamic, player controlled poi. would fit well in the world with all those wrecks, and if we get helis, airplanes and humvees - why not? tho the world seems to shrink with every feature added - i really hope they are fooling us with all that "wont expand the map" talk. most likely just my personal mindfuck, but i keep dreaming of traveling whole chernarus with changing seasons and procedural weather... maybe one day.

i personally didnt loose a charater due to this bug at least since .50, wouldnt assume that this happened. i guess you were killed, maybe shot. when loosing connection the charakter sometimes keeps moving to the direction you were heading to, so you might as well have fallen to death. all you can do in prevention is making sure that your connection is stable, which doesnt nessesarily mean that this was the cause in this case. some servers are a bit unstable at the moment.

Do/Can private servers set themselves up with very little loot?

hi, i also doubt that you did check all loot locations in a few hours of gameplay - two police stations, thats nothing. the loot situation has changed a lot and you might need to adopt your search patterns, there can be large regions with low loot. as well those buildings "everyone" has gone to in the previous builds are often the first to be picked clean. check, where u didnt check - move on to the next town if u find nothing in the first six buildings or check all places systematicly. admins cant change loot for the moment - except on thing. they can reset persistence, which will wipe the server and reset the loot. i think thats what the message means. greets -
1. no 2. press f2, then textchat 3. see above addition: im not always a bandit, but in unclear situations or high risk areas i mostly kill quickly if someone doesnt answer via voice chat or doesnt react to my voice. you should look out for a private roleplay hive, where kos is forbidden and the admins are active. greets

it wont, but you should expect wipes coming whenever developement requires it. also private hives can be (and are) wiped by the admins.

iam speculating a bit with the following, but regarding exp hicks posted, that containers would be counted by the cle and i had the impression that loot got rarer the longer the servers werent reset. i thought i saw a tweet at devtracker regarding stable, posting that containers wouldnt be counted by cle, as this would help the devs gathering better data. cant find that now... but if it were true, it would theoretically lead to a unlimited growth of the servers amount of loot (loot table + in size and number growing camps). not much tech knowledge on my side, but if a servers total amount of items would affect its performance, it might explain the situation described, where servers are differently affected by performance problems, even if big camps are nearby. highly frequented servers with a strongly hoarding community vs less frequented ones, eg whitelisted servers with a small but stable community. greets -

have just been in a big camp on a high pop private hive. six tents, 10 barrels and some backpacks - all filled up with veggies, small arms and nicnac. While about six players being in that area absolutely no severe lagging in more than an hour. didnt see any containers in containers. greets -

if i remember right single player will come with beta and mod support (end 2015/ early 2016). check the status reports. for your desired playstyle there are some really good private hives, which forbid kos and have active admins. -
didnt read anything about firesites, in experimental they would survive server restart but also disappear randomly even if interacted with recently. id suppose them to be buggy. hicks posted that all other items (except containers mentioned in status report) would be cleaned up after 30 minutes, but this doesnt really work. we had items in our camp that would be there for days (guns, mags, etc.) before they would despawn.

i honestly dont understand your post. ive played exp for the last 6 weeks and stable since it was released, both highpop pub & priv but not many different servers. for me performance was and is much better than .57 and i dont have any severe lag issues. are you referring to the mentioned "big base"bug? if not, plz describe whats wrong. If it only affects your server think about contacting the devteam, a friend had problems with his and those were fixed after a short time. greets -

nope, read it a month ago, somewhere in the depths of this forum - might have been somewhere in the developers discussion. the mentioned problems occured at friends of mine, mostly using i7s or 6+core amds. When we started playing exp .58 their performance was much worse than that of the others. after removing launchparameters regarding cpucount & threats (& changing nothing else) performance bumped up. The system in the op is stronger than mine (i5 4460/ gtx 750ti) & should gain much better fps without tweaking launch pars & config. whether or not you believe my statement without any source the problem must be located somewhere else - imho greets

I meant the guy with the working gasometer. some guys shoot the tank to immobilize it until they find a battery & plug and starting with a undamaged truck doesnt mean it will stay like that. a fresh spawned truck drives for a good hour non stop - yours had been used or you damaged the tank. Refuelling has been fixed weeks ago. Greets

hi, first of all id recommend to delete all launch parameters, defs stated that those are relics of arma2 and arent supported. several players had problems with that. same goes with changes to the config. as you are w10 try to update your nvidia drivers manually (download), there had been issues, im not sure if they are resolved yet. Quality : Objects : Realy Low -> low or medium Detail : Low -> high Clouds : Disabled -> keep Shadow : High -> low or off Textures : Automatic : ( Last option because it's in black ) -> set ingame language to english, then set to 2048 or auto Detail textures : Realy High -> high Textures Filter : Realy High -> high Render ; Anti Aliasing : off -> low Alpha to coverage : off -> keep Ambiant occlusion off, post process off -> fxaa low HDR : Low 1980*1080 use this as a base setting, its a solid one which fits ur system on the low side. Then get a proggi to monitor your hardware usage (eg afterburner), especially cpu & gpu; tweak a bit if you want, also check where the bottleneck is located. with the above settings 20-30 fps should only appear as a downpeak/ big cities. In free enviroment 40-80 should be the average (ssd expected). If not, im guessing theres something wrong with ur system itself. greets

he might be refeering to .57, in .58 exp the gasometer was bugged the way you discribed & the gas ran out (but not after 15 min, you might have damaged the tank). didnt get one in stable yet.

.I played about 25 minutes just now if i get u right, you are just extending your short experience? in exp daynight circle was set something between 3 and 4 hours, might explain your experience. Rain comes and goes, seems to be fall atm.
