WHERE DO YOU FIND SOMETHING OTHER THAN CR75s
edwin3 replied to omera's topic in New Player Discussion
simple reason - server hopping. cheating behaviour doesnt get rewarded. on public im normally solid equipped after an hour max. mil gun take time and luck. dont like that? wrong game. sorry -
love the new berenzino and looking forward the new cherno. its been some years - getting boring. greets

for me rubberbanding has been reduced to nearly not happening for both, arma3 and dayz. if the clients connection is shit the best netcode cant negate that. For excample a friend of mine has to play over a mobile connection - he rubberbands a lot for others and others rubberband for him. but except for that the rest of our group isnt affected. regarding dayz and clipping its been said that the new player controller will be the way to fix a lot - lets see. greets

thats right, arma doesnt know melee attacks greets

1. should, check the status reports 2. praise the loot god 3. persistence is forced on all, private hive admins can do manual wipes 4. right-click on tent in inventory screen, needs to be empty greets

another possibility is to run against the wall and disconnect for some seconds. if nothing works u can start a ticket at the devhub, they can move ur char. good luck
-

is the roadmap and estimated Beta times still accurate?
edwin3 replied to d.walker43's topic in General Discussion
i think the whole thing remains about hope & trust. They either got something we havent seen yet and will be a bummer or its gonna be mainly about polishing what we have seen and add some features. "hicks said..." is something that lead me to frustration in the past, i dont see a lot of clear communication coming from there. any question about what "beta" is going to be (not to speak of what will change until 1.0) still gets evasive awnsers, which makes me skeptical as well. we are 3 months out till "i am confident" release of beta, get rudimentary informations, see a very basic iteration of the heli, no ingame graphics towards base building, no word for a long time on animal companions and not much more than promises regarding most of the new engine modules (ui, player controller, renderer, inventory, sound engine). i really liked the presentation of torchia and the amount of honesty and courage it contained - imho something that really helps in community <-> dev relations and should be elaborated. i really keep my hope up that they keep back to create some surprises, but started to prepare myself for disappointment. greets -
@Op: check out the threads discussing the existing concepts for ui & inventory. maybe inform yourself a bit about the developement process to get a better understatement why the priorities arent set as u suggested. greets

Dark nights? Where'd they go? Also: Thunder?

by "official" i understand those servers, which the hosting companies are providing (which they have to as part of their contract with bi). if a company shuts down those servers regularly id try to switch to another hoster. i am to,but these are mostly servers for exp. builds and with bad luck, BI took it down to test internal an new exp. build. experimental servers are always cursed to death an will vanish as soon as the build goes stable. greets

i wouldnt compare it with the mod, but with arma 3. the hummingbirds strengh is his agility, not his armor. if hit with 7.62 there should be some severe Damage - at least enough to scare the pilot away. greets

i mostly play on the "official" fragnet servers - no probs so far greets

i think thats a cool idea  ;)

try to delete all battle eye folders and validate game files via steam after that. greets

if possible, i would try to disable surround.

i didnt relate to reality, but to game balance. greets

dont like that instant-find-idea. finding a good-enough stone for a knife can sometimes take some effort - even at the beach. if inst-a-find wood why carry axe and knife? and even apple picking isnt just standing there and open ur mouth. i normally find after 5 tries max, and remember; frustration is a dayz core mechanic.

what did u expect from mixing blue with green?

i think the post is most relevant to this "discussion", as private servers give you the opportunity to evade all that stuff (server abuse, duping, hopping, hacking) people are complaining about for years, just as you do now - as if it were shocking news. and imho the dayz team does a great job in fighting that stuff, e.g. hacking has been reduced significantly. Compare with bf4, a triple a title with massive financial background. there will always be exploits and cheating, they can only be reduced or shut down temporarily. the best way to avoid exploiting and cheating players is to find a well run private hive, maybe with a compound of two or three servers - only refinement would be that exploits are limited to everyone. i think u make the problem bigger than it is. i rarely meet obvious hacks and duper-groups (with the massive amount of loot atm duping has become somewhat senseless), and i play both private and public. the abuse u discribe is present, but to be honest there are so many empty servers that this abuse isnt really an advantage - any player can loot up on empty servers. dont get me wrong, i dont wanna justifiy abuse. but what u are "screaming" about doesnt affect my experience that much. most of these geared up groups dont really know how to use that gear properly, making them more of a high value dynamic event and thus even raise my experience ;P imho you are hyping in the wrong direction. report the server and the gsp an let it be. greets

regarding bambies it means - he knows how to play the game. any "i am new" talk leads to sudden death.
