I'll let the devs take as much time as they want with the big stuff, I just want some actual survival stuff like less food or wounds that are hard to heal and affect your movement and aim for real time week, no magic rags from hogwart tahat can cure every single wound even a gunshot to the neck, doing this shouldnt take a lot of time -
I'm 100% sure that before they turned into zombies they had some items on them, why can't we loot them? Things like canned sardines in their pocket should be ok to eat because it was canned, and maybe some have ammo in their pockets

my exact thoughts especially ammo, it should be as rare as 5 bullets in entire city of Cherno. Bullets should be rarer than diamonds but no worries we'll get a new pink dress soon My only concern is the majority of players - who only play Dayz to run around Elektro and play deatmatch. Sadly they're the majority and hardcore survival fans are a minority. And maybe the same thing will happen with DayZ that happened with CoD or TES series Why did CoD and TES series change from deep games with some interesting mechanics to dumb casual games? Not because the devs said "Hey let's make a dumb casual game because we want it" but because the majority of players were dumb casuals so the devs had to make a game for dumb casuals otherwise they wouldnt get money

In red are the biggest ones for me 1. Lack of zombies I'd rather have those bugged teleporting zombies again then not have zombies at all. 2. Too much food and water, it's impossible to die from starvation or thirst 3. Everything taking place at the coast cities while the rest of the map doesnt exist 4. All cities/villages have the same buildings with the same loot, there's no unique towns with unique buildings and loot that is ONLY in that one particular town. This allows players to just go to 1 place and get everything there

It probably won't happen because sadly the majority of DayZ players are deathmatch PvP'ers and they don't care about any survival, they would completely eliminate hunger and thirst if they had a chance because it only stops them from never ending fighting. When food was rare at some point I think it was 0.55 but I could be wrong, there was 10 threads per day with people crying that they go into a house and don't find food. But there is one solution to this, we make the game hardcore unforgiving survival and they either adapt to it of switch to some easier game aka CoD

I can't wait until I actually struggle to find food and not only rely on canned food but HAVE to survive from hunting, fishing, planting seeds etc, instead of finding tons of food in every house which probably won't happen because the forums will be spammed with "OMG I CANT FIND FOOD OMG WTF !!!11 :'(((" threads -

I don't know why is it, but Standalone's atmosphere seems much more "happier" and "light". I remember my first time I run DayZ Mod, I instantly felt the heavy and dark atmosphere and sadness and misery in the air, I felt like I'm trapped inside a dark world where I'm being hunted as soon as I start playing. I felt like the whole world was against me, and I'm not only talking about other players, but the trees, the enviroment, everything gave an unfriendly vibe. In the standalone for some reason I feel like I'm just having little happy walks on a sunny saturday and nothing is wrong, everything is "warm", don't know how else I can put this. Anyone else feel this? -

Incorrect, judging by the number of people in this thread who share my thoughts -
But they were survivors once too and I doubt they were living a normal life and then bang one second and they're zombies/dead. You keep beens in your pocket too.

The reason why everybody focuses on the 3 cities and ignores the rest of the map is because you can get everything you need in one city If each city had different loots and for example you need 3 items, so you have to go for item 1 to cherno because they have that store with those things there, for item 2 you would go to zelenogorsk because they have it and item 3 would be spawning at random houses And there is way too much food and water in the cities. But I HOPE devs will put the canned food and water in cities to a MINIMUM, like 1 bottle and 2 cans of food in the ENTIRE city. That would drive people off cities to find food by hunting animals, planting seeds, collecting berries etc.

For now I ain't gonna waste time planting seeds because there's no need to, It's just for people who want to test new things but it isn't necessary to survive There's a fuck ton of canned food in every house But once they lower the number of the canned food then I will maybe look forward to plants

If they're ever gonna increase the map then make it interesting and unique because right now the entire map is just useless wilderness and copy paste villages with same freshspawn items and a few big cities around the coast

Would it be OK to have a big, and I mean BIG Cargo plane? No bombs or anything just a big Cargo plane, maybe being able to carry vehicles like in the video. https://youtu.be/K8VidsDz4FY Of course this plane would be extremely rare and maybe 1 in a 10.000 people would find it and it would require lots of work to make it able to fly. I was a pilot with my friends and it was amazing but the small airport was pain in the ass I know that for such a big plane the tiny airport that we have isn't enough so what about making a completely new HUGE airport with entire complex of buildings and huge runways? like this

And are random survivors Masters at handling military guns and repairing cars? You don't find a skill book or add points to "Rifles" in a skill tree. YOU have to know how to handle a rifle with your mouse. In DayZ its not the character that can do something, its the player. Flying a plane requires some lessons and practice or you will crash. And if you master it as a player then your character masters it too

For transporting multiple vehicles from point A to B and for fun of course, in dayz mod cargo plane had no use yet people were happy to fly it just because it's fun and the big airport yes there would be PvP just like in every airport and every city so obviously you wouldnt try to fly a plane there alone but with a squad and if someone wants to fly the plane instead of breaking it into parts and making shelter it's his decision +As I mentioned it would be extremly rare like 0.0001% of spawning so if one guy finds it he will fly it just so people see him flying the beast plane and think how badass he is :D But anyway even if not the plane I think the huge airport itself would be something interesting, because the airport that we have now is just a stupid large field with a few tiny buildings here and there where you can get sniped from across the place, and that's supposed to be the "hardcore north"? A complex and big arport with lots of big enterable buildings would really require teamwork and some good tactics
