Ya, it was actually pretty cool - probably because it wasn't me. :P I felt bad for the guy - I hadn't played with him very much (friend of friend). He lived through an entire battle prior to that and this guy just kind of wandered in. We saw a 10 minute warning for the server restart, so we were able to pick up some of his gear, but he lost the rest. Half the fun of DayZ is gearing up, though.

I spent an evening trying to have some friendly interactions in Elektro. I think it was a success!

One of my buddies got murdered immediately after spawning in. We tried to avenge him, but instead we were caught up in a vicious cycle of die/respawn/die.

Is that because it reminds you of your advanced age? ;) My wife actually picked it out because she thought it was hilarious. To each his own, I guess. Ya, I personally find him a little hard to handle when he wants to pick up his toys and go home because people aren't playing the way he wants them to play. But what are you going to do about those darn millennials? :D The best part of that video is when another buddy of mine told him there is probably an uninstall tutorial on YouTube. Sometimes an unannounced server restart will put you in a bad position. Hopefully that will be addressed when things go to a 12 hour restart. I wish I could take credit for the lighting, but that credit goes to the DayZ devs. What you missed by stopping the video: Me dying 4 more times. :D In all seriousness though, thanks for taking the time to watch and offer some constructive criticism on the bits you did watch. I do tend to play with these guys pretty often - sometimes they are on their best behavior and sometimes I need to take a break. This (skipped theme music) is the type of player interaction I enjoy when I am not acting up (The exposure and contrast are adjusted for better visibility.). This girl cracked me up and I wish some of the guys I was on TeamSpeak with had more experience interacting with women. I have to head off to work, but when I get a chance I will check out your videos.

I agree that it is way more interesting to choose different music for each video, but it is more important that the music you choose matches the tone you are trying to set. Try using different sections of the same track and don't limit yourself to what is available in the YouTube creator studio. I have found this website to be incredibly useful - particularly the links to Incompetech and Audionautix. You can also try performing a google search for royalty free music. You may have to pay for some tracks, but it is worth it in the long run. Just make sure you follow proper attribution requirements, these content creators also deserve recognition.

I have killed a fully geared guy using a hockey stick, so I think melee weapons can definitely be useful.

Before I got an SVD I would have voted Winchester. I haven't really used the blaze much. The Winchester with hunting scope zooms in further than the SVD with PSO scope, but the downside is that it seems to take more shots to down a geared player when using the Winchester. The upside of the SVD - besides power - is that it has a range finder and is semi-auto, so I can fire 2 shots rapidly, if needed. The downside - beside the PSO scope - is that ammo is sparse and the maneuverability seems a bit slower. With practice, the SVD is equitable to the Winchester. Doorways are the same size as a player, so you can use them to range find with your PSO scope. There are no batteries on stable, so the range finder has been useless. If you are good at estimating your ranges, then the Winchester is a good option. Ammo is also plentiful for the Winchester. Although, if you know where to look, the 7.62 ammo isn't difficult to find. I have found it in the barracks and in the small red and green houses with staircase on the side (on the stove or the floor). There were several zombies lurking in and about the Elektro fire station, so we decided to check it out. Just after we began our search, some other survivors showed up. One had poor social skills and the other taught me something. They each got exactly what they deserved.

This is so true. Also, if it seems like a fresh spawn is killing time talking to you - a lot of long pauses like he is on TS with others - then get out of there. They are setting you up.

I tried to befriend a guy in Berezino, but he wasn't having it. Not sure why he thought closing the door would be a good idea.

We ran into this guy in Elektro and I had a blast just listening to him ramble on. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that he was warning me of my impending doom. :blush: It was fun while it lasted. If anyone knows who this is, let him know his character/trap is awesome.

I logged in and decided to run to a nearby Heli crash to look for SVD ammo. What I found was so much better!

It was the first server after launching the game. I wasn't even looking for one, since I already had an SVD. I was just hoping to get a little more ammo.

This. Every time I am running with 3 or 4 friends, we start messing around and then "You are unconscious." followed by "You are dead." :D This is usually followed by vows to pay more attention next time. Then we do it again.
