Hi, you have probably seen me on this forum before, because I'm a big fan of DayZ. Firstly, I'd like you guys to rate my current looting route, and hopefully you can give me suggestions. I generally loot from: Polana -----> Gorka -----> Stary -----> Kabanino ----> NWAF and then I would do PvP at the airfield. Any suggestions/advice? Also, what loot runs do you guys do? I'm kind of bored with the one I use right now, because there's so much to explore in DayZ. Also, the route listed above takes a very long time because there's a lot of towns to loot. I'm looking for a route that preferably involves a visit to Myshkino and/or NWAF but any route that produces good military loot, industrial loot or good civilian rifles (eg Winchesters, Blazes) is fine. I also need a place to get things like hunting backpacks or mountain packs. Thanks!

Thanks, I shall try this out. You might also want to try Polana ----> Gorka ------> Stary ----> Kabanino ----> NWAF and then server hop to your heart's content at the NWAF. You can stock up on civilian loot and food in Polana, then continue to stock up on food, water and medical supplies at the various houses and the hospital in Gorka. The Gorka Police Station is also the best police station in the game, in my opinion- you can find an abundance of MP5s, PM73s and CR75s (all of these are needed if you want any hope of surviving at the military bases). Then, you can have a quick loot run through the Stary military camp, perhaps stock up on supplies at stary and kabanino, and then grab all the high powered gear at the airfield. I always find UMPs, AKs and AUGs at the airfield. I have also found an M4, but only ONCE. They are extremely rare, even if you try to use the loot farming exploit.

It seems like it's going to be a long time until 0.59. My first question is, when will zombies be added back? Will they be able to add zombies back into the game through a 0.58 hotfix or will we have to wait for months until 0.59 comes out? The game has basically turned into deathmatch mode (except you have to spend 6 hours getting good guns) because of the lack of zombies and the loot exploits with CLE, so I hope this can all be fixed. This leads onto my second question. What about loot exploits? The game's loot sucks right now because the only place where you can get good military loot is in those office tents at Myshkino and NWAF, so looting normal military bases is absolutely pointless, and the NWAF has become a deathmatch zone due to the lack of zombies and the cluster of loot at the airfield. With the implementation of the Central Loot Economy in 0.58, will the developers be releasing a hotfix to stop loot exploits in the office huts at the NWAF/Myshkino, and to start spawning loot in places like Camo Buildings and normal barracks? My third question is, when will the game be getting optimised? Will 0.59 have optimisation, or will we have to wait until beta? Thank you for reading this.

I've had this problem before. I think it's something to do with graphics but it sort of just fixed on it's own for me. Try messing around with your graphics settings and making sure the object/texture detail is high.

Me, my friend Jordan and his friend Charlie were playing on a server. We were the only ones on the server, and Jordon has been using it for months without any problems. Today, me and Jordan were looting Stary and Charlie was in Berezino, when we all died suddenly. We all got the 'You are dead' message at the same time, and there was no apparent cause for it. Jordan went back to where we died almost immediately after we respawned, and our bodies were nowhere to be find. We died right in the open, too, so our bodies had definitely vanished because of glitches. We want to know what's caused this and how/when it will be fixed, because I'm pretty annoyed about losing my custom M4 for no reason.

They sound like good ideas (especially having a pet dog) but the loot table thing could easily be used for exploiting (for example, if the server owner wanted an M4, they could stop everything except M4s from spawning)

I wasn't actually loot hopping. I searched for a while for extremely low pop servers and I found the server I was on. Then, I just stayed on that server while I geared up.

My character got wiped for no reason. I could not have died because I was the only one on the server, and I was in Gorka. Has the Hive been ddosed or something? How do I get him back?

I've noticed that backpacks are hard to find in 58. Can anyone help me find where they spawn?

I get the same thing. I've never spawned outside of Svet
