had a shit day today. i guess on a bright note i found a ump 45 at a heli crash site. other than that, pretty uneventful. some sniper took a pot shot at me and later on i encountered a player. we both just very intently watched each other as we passed. I imagine the conversation would have gone along the lines of "what are you looking at?" "i'm looking at you." "well im looking at you looking at me." "well then im looking at you looking at me looking at you." and then gunfire that kills us both. anywho, Glad zombies are back but theyre hit range is way off for me and is a bit annoying

Pretty good first time playing again since the release of fallout 4. I jump on and start my usual loot route and find a trumpet and later on a magnum with 357s nearby. later on i walk into a small town and see a guy. he didn't outright attack me so i gave a simple "hey" and kept looting. suddenly him and a friend of his with a crowbar start attcking me. figures. but i have the gun. I try to puit some distance between me and them and after some time i suceed and shoot one but he only gets wounded before he's too close. I do some more running around and manage to jump a fence and sure enough one follows ( i assume the other went to bandage) and i gun him down and pick what isn't ruined off of him. I loot the town a bit more until i see someone else. Surprise surprise the friend is still there. he runs into a house and i follow him in. I knew he was waiting by the door with his crowbar raised so i walk in and bait him out. Once again i succeed and gun him down and pick off his sporter and some food and go on my merry way. I must've been not too far from electro. I was walking next to an area with lots of rocks on a big hill thinking no one would have the angle to shoot me. It may have been best to stick to the road as suddenly, I was shot. fortunately just a magnum like me. i took one more to the leg before i manage to duck in between some boulders. I sit and wait for my attacker to come and finish me off. and then i see him. He doesn't know where i am. I pop off a few shots but due to desync or just bad luck none land. he works his way around the boulders and i continue aiming. he goes around the back and i turn and shoot him 3 times and he falls dead, but he manages to get off one shot and kills me. Hell of a time that was. Later on i'm looting a small town and see a guy fighting off plenty of zeds with an axe. i go out to provide him with assistance with my newfound skorpion. I kill a few and we both end up ducking inside of the station killing what we could. there i loot an mp5k and even a mag for it and he gets a rak with a mag i had found. I make a new friend and we bolt off into the woods far away from the mass amount of zombies that had built up there. I bid him goodbye and get off for a while. not much happened after that when i got on later. 2 guys tried to kill me as i ran through electro. fortunately they were terrible shots and i got away with no issues.

My first time saving someone.. if i remember right, (unlikely) I had spared lots of lives before then but i think the first time i saved someone was back in .57. a guy was being chased by an axe wielding bambi and by a small horde of zeds. after having gunned all them down i accidentally hit a key and i drop my fully kitted akm. the guy i helped shoots me and leaves me for dead. The first time it was worth saving someone was a bambi in cherno killing others with a pickaxe. I snipe him from the firestation and go down to see the 2 he tried to kill. they thanked me and i stuck around policing the area. Later that night a horde of bambis tried to kill me by punching but i gunned most of them down and hightailed it out.

Ah, I remember my first. it was back in .55 and I was looting the military installation in zelenegorsk in the jailhouse building. I get to the top bunk room and walk in only to see a guy crouched behind the beds possibly waiting in ambush. I run out as he fires shots from an ak74 but luckily for me none land on me. I move to the back end of the hall, stuck since he could shoot me if i run for the stairs. After some waiting he goes for the door and after a brief shootout which only left me with feces ridden pants. I had gunned him down with i believe an akm and looted his body for spoils. I had gotten too panicky and emptied 2/3rds of a mag into him so it was virtually all ruined. But, oh ell. I had survived. Nowadays I've lost count of how many i've killed. (even though I typically play friendly) Oh how time flies.

well there have been successful holdups done with unloaded guns. I've done a few hold ups for my safety,(sent the guys on their way). Good content showing from .59 exp.

I had a similar experience but i ended up stabbing the guy to death with a steak knife and butchered his body for fun. Oh memories.. funny vid man.

As other people say its pretty much cherno and electro. lots of pvp due to lack of zombies but still some good interactions to be had. I remember .57.. that was total war in the cities. now at times it can be eerily quiet.

The gear i go with when i snipe would be the mosin (good damage and i enjoy the style) and mp5k since the ump takes some time to acquire (and I get strokes of bad luck when i have it.) with green gorka for clothing and a ballistic helmet. olive face mask or the gas mask on my face and I find it comforting to keep a handgun on me such as the cr75 or magnum. I'm more of a mid range sniper i suppose. Adds to the excitement and doesn't feel so KOS-y. I tend to do a lot of observation and keep still. A lot of people tend to not notice you if your position is good enough and you don't move too much. I try to snipe out the KOSers or anyone I find to be too sketchy such as groups. I tend to snipe in my position, switch to my mp5k and go somewhere else. Made some friends on dayz recently so i'll soon try my hand at overwatch and hopefully not muck it up too much.

Had quite a night last night. I sat in cherno and after sniping down a player I make my way into the hills to look around and do something else. After going slightly uphill though i see movement. One, no two players. (later turned out to be 4) I hid behind a tree and was positive I was about to die. I decided to go down fighting. I start shooting at them with my trusty mp5-k but I was outmanned and outgunned and was taken down. I spawned close by though and got back to my ruined stuff and hidden or gone body. (thanks ragdolling on slopes) It turns out they were friendly and i had scared them and we both panic shot each other. They asked me if i was the guy who was just there and i said no thinking they'd shoot me all over again. After running with them for quite a while and all dying together (me having probably killed our attacker) I tell them that I was the guy. Made some friends in a pretty crazy way but hey, its chernarus.

did some more sniping today. saw two players behind the cherno police station and observed them for a bit. I initially didn't shoot because i had only seen one. then i saw his friend come by and both had fireaxes and likely had handguns. Taking knowledge from a previous experience I carefully aimed and shot one right in the back of the head as he and his comrade were cutting down trees. The other guy quickly becomes aware and runs off to a nearby building. I wait to see if he'd poke out but decide it'd be more interesting and quicker to go find him. I search the nearby red building and find nothing. The green building next to it however had its doors shut.. I open the doors and hear gunshots. Thanks to untamed panic jerking, (no, not that kind you dirty bastard) I run inside. Thankfully this disorientates him and i run back out and shut the door. He continues sitting there. I go to the side and he opens the door and i see my chance. I walk to the edge of the opening and put 3 or 4 rounds into him and he dies. I walk out with a gunshot wound and had some fun. I bid him a good fight as he almost had me and shortly thereafter the game crashed for me. I've had some good luck the past 2 days. Won't be long until i'm dead :thumbsup:

You can reset this by simply interacting with them.

barrels are pretty common. You can find at least three just looting around. I once found a player stash that consisted of 9 or 10 barrels. what a lovely day that was. Also the key to stashing a barrel is both camouflage and making sure its exactly where no one would bother to walk near. don't store them in a bit of forest that people might cut through to get to a place. thats how i found another player stash.

I only gave the advice because of my experience. Of course dayZ has its bugs so maybe it happened just this once because of (insert reason here).

A rough spawn there man. swimming is pretty slow. As said you'll get wet and cold so keep moving or start a fire. I advise against using a heat pack. I had used one and whenever it ran out I got hypothermia instantly and couldn't get warm no matter what and died.

been there man, been there. That was one of the first few deaths i had. Never heard the guy coming and got a baseball bat to the face. A pretty good guide but you should know that Cop cars are fantastic loot spots. they seem to spawn in any town with a police station and hop between spots per server. You can find cr75s, mp5ks and attatchments, chest holster, ammo, and a couple of other goodies.

Calling it a day earlier than normal. Surprisingly i didn't meet my demise today while doing pvp. I had a close call though. I had just sniped a player from my vantage point in the hospital down range from the police station. He wasn't too armed but i wasn't going to take any chances and dropped him on the roof of the station. What i didn't hear was the other guy moving into the hospital until he was very close. I pulled out my cr75 and saw him go up the stairs and turn. sure enough hes aiming at me and even managed to land a couple shots. Luck was on my side as it was just an amphibia. I unload my mag into him, accuracy not being strong with me at that point but after a few rounds he falls and sits at the landing at the bottom of the stairs. I bandage up and move positions. I retreat into the nearby forest but as i'm getting there i'm stopped by a fresh spawn asking me to kill him. I oblige and keep on moving. While im in a bush catching my breath another fresh spawn comes up to me and asks for help with a group of guys killing people at the apartment buildings. I poked around but never saw anything. I assumed it was a trap and he had a buddy there that would snipe me. Or maybe just perhaps a suggest a little bit that i was just paranoid. maybe. possibly. Either way, i had a good time.

typically theres a rak or an mp5k in cop cars which are common in each town as long as it has a police station. they do have multiple spawn points.
