You surely don't know what you are taking about... CryEngine can yes have a good gameplay IF you know how to code, and plus it has better graphics and physics than ArmA 2 Engine and it's a lot more optimized(FPS) than Real Virtuality... Once I created a big ass huge with about 150 AI and around 45 FPS playing on medium, playing ARMA 2 with ALL low settings with 266 zombies, I get arround 25-30 MAX

I think the aggro distance right now is too low, once I shot a m1014 in a city, and few zombies came after me, that's bad, because people should care about shooting guns in city, and your suggestion would deal with it. -
I agree of remove SOME of snipers; Who needs a AS50? M107? They are Anti-Material weapons that are USED against Armored Vehicles, not on people like you guys that own these guns do. To balance the game, it should only have M24, SVD and DMR of Military Snipers, ONLY. And increase the spawn chance of CZ550 and later add some others more common civilian snipers rifles.

I've been searching around while bored playing DayZ since it's not being a challenge anymore to survive, because zombies(infected w/e you like) are too weak (.45 kills in one shot) and military weapons are too good and too easy to find. It would be harder and even better to have more Civilian Weapons in the game ( I know it has already been suggested ) but i'm here to suggest some guns IF it's going to happen, because ArmA 2 was designed to be a military Simulator, so there is few civilian weapons Here are some: AIA M10A1 rifle, 7.62x39 caliber. Once a setchel charge was planted on my camp, and it exploded, I was a little bit away but I could see that it was a setchel charge, not anything else, and after 2 minutes a guy with g36 sd with soldie clothing appeared, and he killed me and I couldn't see his name... If the name of the player is shown when you died, you can report cheaters, or even show which gun he used, so that would be even easier to spot cheaters, since not all guns from ArmA is avaiable in DayZ. And I think you don't need to care about realism since we don't know if we die In real life a scoreboard appears showing how much points you made in your life :D, maybe life it's just a program controlled by aliens that developed us to something... :) You got my beans for this suggestion!

So, everyone agrees that these zombies right now, needs to be developed and stuff, rumors says that they are already working DayZ for ArmA 3, so I thought it would be nice if they do something related to zombies of L4D, I know you people all rage when compare something with L4D but its true, the zombies from there are better, they dont require that much of your CPU in if about 50 of 'em on you, and their IA is pretty simple, they run after you if they see you, I know it's two different Engines and stuff, but... there is my idea Base Zeds on Valve L4D zombies. ncredibly ...no lag...

Could you pleaase read the topic instead of going to the point where a said L4D and bitching about it? I said BASE on it, see how they do. that's what I said, I'm not saying to implant them, just to try to make them similar, because Infected in DayZ should be like L4D Zombies, they run fast, hit fast too. As I said, I KNOW it's different game/engine, but i'm saying about the Zombies. I'm saying about Zombies, not maps. Put yourself on a local in a map in L4D, check the avarage FPS, if you go to the exact same place, aiming at exact same way, but with 100 Zombies, your fps will drop about 10-15 ONLY. Thats how it works here.

It's good the way it is, but there is a big problem about picking the arrow that you just shot back, sometimes the zombies falls actually IN the grass and it's not able to pick it up.

I think this one that you cited is well developed, at least better than this one (no offense ScaryNachos) but the idea still pretty much the same. I'm still supporting it.

No, That wont work, I bet that if you are a bandit and kills a lot of people, you should have psychological problems. like hearing voices and seeing shadows and stuff.

An all-round solution to alt-F4 & server hopping

In about 50 minutes I already have almost a M4A3 CCO or M24 with Coyote Backpack and all tools except GPS, with M9 Silenced. It's not being a challenge anymore to find guns, they are really easy to find, bringing a topic here, it should reduce the amount of military weapons, and increase civilian weapons, at least in a city you expect to find more Civilian Guns than Military (M4 with Holographic and Grenade Launcher, AS50, M107, seriously... why the f*ck you even need it? there is no tank/chopper in the game only a very weak helicopter that with shoots of Winchester/Remington 870 would go down)

I not sure about that, I think it should be REALLY rare to happen a Tornado's in certain areas of the map, but the one I think that should definitely happen would be the Blizzards on winter season Yes, also should add seasons, so there would be spring, autumn, summer and winter, and some of the Nature Effects can happens with higher chances in certain seasons. Also during some seasons, leafs of trees and the grass would change. I really like this idea! +1 -
Could add some generators, electricity wires, fuse boxes, and be able to combine them all, and if dropped on the ground of a certain house(generator combined with wire and the fusebox of the house already repaired), the house will turn on the lights, and to maintain that generator working, you need to refuel it every 2 hour to keep it on maximum power. Make generators spawn in Industrial areas. +1 for this idea! You can have my beans!

Well, I really hope when DayZ become a Stand Alone game, it should take some physical aspects from CryEngine 3 at least
