    Stable Branch - 0.57 Discussion

    Great day playing for many hours on the new patch! Zeds are pretty freaky now, I have not really seen to many compared to the last patch but you want to think twice about letting off rounds in towns now as every single one in the area will come hunt you out! few bugs I noticed: 1) the status bug that has been mentioned a few times so far, it seems to get stuck and not recognize what you have taken. But when you log onto another server it will all register at once and cause you to very quickly run threw being sick and vomiting. 2) there is something going on with things in the hands not being seen by the game. It has happened a few times today, first I was in a truck with a gun in my hand(space in backpack for it) and when I got out of the truck the gun was missing from inventory and not in backpack. I could not interact with anything so I logged out and back in and there was the gun back in my hands. The gun is also invisible in the player model too. Has happened like that with ladders and interacting with some items. Seems to be a bit random, eating something can sometimes fix interaction issues. 3) a person I was playing with had a an item(can remember what but something large) hide under a flare gun 4) first time I spawned into the game today on this patch I had an agro zed on my butt. This also happened to the other person I was playing with. I then didn't see another zed for a couple of hours as I headed inland. 5) the kits reshuffle in inventory is a little annoying. I like to keep my rags handy! 6) had a few failed texture notices pop up in game, clicked ok on the and did not notice any problems 7) zeds run into shut buildings and fall into floors All I can think of now but over all it is a great improvement and I really enjoyed it!

    Yeah, imagine it would be some type of microwave radiation as you mention. I didnt really think about the fact that there is no power in Chenarus. Still think the idea of radiation is a valid one, could add another level of struggle to the game! Would be fun taking a can of beans from a radiated site and feeding it to someone else not prepared for its effects.

    This is my favorite communication site that I visit with my work. Its an old unused HF system that bounced signal off the troposphere the cover great distances. Just thought it would be great in the game. Another thought was that communication site like this generated some kind of radiation. The site in the picture was over 1000watt and would burn you if proper saftey was not used around the site. I was thinking loot items like radiation suits, pills to recover from radaition posioning etc... Could be made. High value loot could spawn at these locations.
