When ever I try joining a server, I get this: Jezzus: "You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent of downloadable content that has been deleted.cacharacters_pmc" I have 2 cd keys so I can play with two characters, I can't play on my second cd key though. I have the latest dayz and beta patch version, I constantly update them as updates come out. I've tried everything that I could think of but it just wont work. Could it have something to do with my private military company expansion?

I tried fixing this for 3 full hours, then i post this. 5 minutes later i try something and it works... don't get the logic. Anyways, if anyone else is having this issue, all I did was delete the PMC dlc and it magically worked.

So, I found some interesting scripts or 'hacks' for dayz. I'm no troll and I don't grief, but simply wanted to try them out and have fun. I never used this on a server running on the HIVE database. I went on a VPN (tunngle) to play with people who have a cracked version of Arma 2 OA (the majority) and on servers which did not have battleye enabled. All I ever did was spawn a few things here and there (and I have a legit/purchased version of arma 2 + arma 2 OA). I am NOT here to be unbanned. I am simply asking if anyone knows how it is even possible that I got banned since the server I was on did not have battleye and was not running on the HIVE database.

How would that work? If battleye isn't even running on that specific server how would I get banned? I don't think a server admin has the power to global ban either. Anyways I have another cd key so I'm playing legit from now on :) -

Nah, I said that because someone else told me that if you wear any type of clothing, you need to take off your backpack first although i still don't understand why I need to do that.

Hello, I was simply wondering how I could get 2 CD keys for dayz on steam. I'm currently looking at the arma2:OA folder which is in my 'common' folder. If i were to buy another version of this game, how would dayz recognize which CD key I'm using if everything is shared in the same folder? Or am I completely off....

The easy answer: Because the camo and ghillie were only meant as PvP bonuses. The technical answer: It's probably too hard (or impossible) to program the zombie AI to see you better or worse based on your clothing. The system would simply calculate if you have a camo on, if you do then it would adjust your ear and eye symbol accordingly.

Camo and ghillie suits are powerful enough, it makes it very hard for players to see you. If, on top of that, zombies have a hard time seeing you... would be to unbalanced. Would be so much harder to play without camo on.

I agree with you completely but honestly, you shouldn't even be able to get military weapons so easily. We should be seeing more weapons, especially russian ones (not necessarily military though). -
