How do you know they al+f4? They could have manually disconnected, which is much more likely. Bad idea, sorry this would just be a pain in the ass and wouldn't solve anything. -
I like the idea of medkits but the other 2 don't seem right. You could possible be able to use the medkit on yourself even when bleeding/whatever? You know, instead of waiting long bandaging animation you could just give yourself a bit of blood to take a few shots... Would be cool as a temporary thing until you get bandaged up, just so you actually have a chance in battle if you got shot first. Just an idea though.

You can disable it by lowering the terrain detail (I think). Haven't tested it though.

Deny saving tents/vehicles outside of map.

I like the idea. The game is based on perma death yet clans dominate over half the vehicles and constantly farm up all the good stuff and stock it in their tents leaving nothing for regular solo players. If they die, it's not like they care because they have 20 more guns in their tents and a hundred more NV goggles. Camps are made to be discovered and so are the vehicles. Being solo, or playing with very small groups (2-3) is pretty much pointless. -
Good ideas but how would they work? I'm assuming these would be server sided, right? If one server is in "freeze" mode then people would just change servers. For the herd, not sure i quite understand but why not just walk around them? unless they are protecting something then that would pretty much be a heli crash site.

I have honestly never done that but i have already thought about it. The only thing that needs to be done is some verification where you click on "yes" or "no" just to double check.

As it is, zombies are too easy. They are being nerfed (sound through walls). If you cannot handle the zombies then don't attract them in the first place (which will be much easier in 17.2). Don't rush through villages and cities, take your time to walk (or even crawl) around zombies to not attract them. As of now, i know it's a pain in the ass how you loot one building and they magically agro through the wall but, like i said, this is being fixed.

Did you see how fast zombies run? We would be running even faster than that? no way. Just don't attract zombies and if you do, get them to glitch on a mountain or run through a long warehouse.

Hello, I have been doing some research on the dayz forums and found many many complaints about a few things. Some are bugs, others are gameplay problems, others about the arma 2 engine. I have been playing for quite a while now and noticed some issues that need to be fixed before adding more content. I have one very simple fix for many of these issues. The first problem i saw was the common reconnect and get full ammo back issue. People are asking to make ammunition more rare. Although i know a fix for this will be implemented in the next update, but what i wanted to point out was how many people (including me) can find ammunition just about anywhere and waste it without any issues. The second issue is bandit killing. I know, it's part of the game and I honestly like the way it is. Most people have literally nothing to do after you have your camp, a vehicle or two and a bunch of military grade weapons. There needs to be something for these people to do instead of camping somewhere and trying to get the most player kills. My idea: Nerf spawns. Yes, the spawns need to be "fixed" (even if they aren't really broken). Think about it, since when do people keep an ak47 in a fire station? How come you can find ammunition for military weapons in a grocery store? I feel like a predator and not a prey. After one trip to a fire station I already have an ak74 and I go player hunting. Oh and my favorite, Deer stands. Last time I checked, hunters kill deers with a shotgun or a low tier rifle, Not an m16a2 grenade launcher. (I realized the 4 deer stands near balota are military) There are 2 barracks and around 3 military tent camps (I think). These should have the big guns, not fire stations and not the deer stands. People should hang on to their winchester or double barrel shotgun for much longer, not pounce at any military weapon they can find and then find ammunition for it just about anywhere. On top of this, it adds a lot of realism. This is to slow down the game a bit, it also adds a hopeless feeling when playing the game while holding on to a redneck's old rusty shotgun that you found in his barn with barely any ammunition. Easy fix, isn't it?

Wood arrows wouldn't work very well. Some wood and scrap metal can probably make a few bolts maybe? Good suggestions for the most part though. By the way, bows use arrows while crossbows use bolts.

For some it works, others it doesn't. If you want to be safe then don't use them. I have been using a ghillie suit without any problems so far (~3 days or so). It may simply be a question of correctly installing the beta patch? or maybe these people have outdated versions of the beta patch? If you have the latest version of the beta patch and the latest dayz version then you should be fine. Either way you will die though ; P
