I was going through Cherno on the experimental build 1.7.2.1 and I run into another survivor(IGN:Quell) with a hatchet. He hadn't seen me so I said "Friendly, are you?" while hiding behind the out side wall. He said friendly and I went up to him and he didn't slaughter me to death so that's a good sign. We looted a supermarket, firehouse and were on our way to a hospital. All of a sudden BOOM! And my partner drops... I drop on the floor thinking that this guy couldn't see me through this bush I was by when I look into side chat and this guys says that I'm free to go with my stuff. Well, through the fact that I was going to the hospital and was lost and I didn't want this guy to shoot me, I ask him where the hospital is and he guides me then I had to log off. He called himself a "Semi-Bandit" I know in the pit of the soul that I still appear to have in me, I know I won't be the lucky one next time... -

Actually, that's an awesome feature that rarely anyone uses. For people that use it, they raid a body then hide it, It makes people think that those shots that were fired were at infected instead of a player. You should learn to use that feature :P -

I can find basic supplys alright but It's the most irritating thing when you find all this ammo for guns but you can't find a gun for nothing.... Doesn't help me too much :P -

Yeah, and the most retarded thing for me is that I have the worst luck with finding a gun of any sort. I got to all the places where a gun is in the looting list, including the balota airbase and other military spawn locations and no luck what so ever... I guess that my hatchet will be my best friend from now on. -

Side used to be in the game but on the experimental build it's on for better bug tracking etc. Side speaks to everyone on your side in the normal game, everyone in Dayz. Direct comms if you type goes out to 40 m from your position but if you use a microphone it is crystal clear up to 40 m and gets more and more muffled up to 100 m where past that it doesn't go through. Vehicle is self explanatory and group isn't used in Dayz And trust me, if you play for 1-4 days in this mod... You are guarenteed to have an "OH S**T" Moment I was wierd and it happened more on my second week -
My IGN is CoolCat and I have been pressured into killing only 2 times because they failed to comply with my demands(ppl said "friendly" in side chat and idk if it's the same ppl) I said, "SAY IT IN DIRECT CHAT BEFORE I BLOW YOUR BRAINS" That's what happens when the Dayz paranoia sets in. I'm pretty friendly when I'm with ppl that aren't going to shoot me in the back of the head.

One time, paranoia just got the best of me, 2 people came up the stairs armed and didn't say anything so I'm just like "I'm not dieing this time" I shot one in the head and the other went down the stairs. He popped his head up and I got a few bullets in his skull. I got some beans but that's not what I shot for.... CoolCat

What if zombies wouldn't spawn if there are x players in a x radius of each other. Could be used to implement player controlled areas that zombies wouldn't spawn in every 2 seconds... CoolCat

These will most likely(as I said MOST LIKELY) be the topics that will be mentioned 1. Where will everything be set up, will we have a convoy or will we have a trading area different than the actually outpost 2. Vehicles - For us to get anything done efficiently, we need to have vehicles, whether it be boats to get around or helicopters for trading. We need some sort of vehicle. 3. server - What server will we be setting up at, will we host our own? Can we get people to actually join the server to trade with us. 4. Trading - What items will we be trading. We will actually probably be trading for weapons, supplies and vehicle parts 5. Also we will probably talk about what we will do when we get this up and running CoolCat -

Wtf are you talking about, I got an insta-kill on a zombie and no hits on me, still 12000 blood. You just need to learn how to dodge then move in to attack. Lovin the hatchet right now, Rocket don't change 1 bit about the melee system. Maybe fix the crashes but other than that love it. -

I thank you for answering my questions and I hope I can be the half of the steam group that will get initially accepted also I have an AKM so I should be able to provide BASIC security while setting up camp. I'll be happy to do something more than get a weapon and get shot. I'm also very glad someone has the guts to get something like this started. A few of my questions are: 1. Are we sure that we are going to set up camp at the SE island of the map when we start? I'm iffy about it because we need a high amount of supplies to effectively begin setting up shop there. 2. Where are we going to get all the weaponry to go on the supply raids that are almost 100% required to get this underway. 3. Have we figured out who is in and who isn't because our numbers is going to greatly affect the game plan. and 4. Are you open to ideas for getting things underway or do we have a "set in stone" plan that we are going to stick to along the way? Thank you if you can answer my questions CoolCat -

I wish that the leaders would be able to pretty much get in the TS3 group every once in a while and have people ask question etc. about how the group will be run. Also does Michigan use EST time cause the last time I checked it did but I don't want to miss that meeting We shall see where this goes from here CoolCat -

Idk about the helis but at least 1 boat and 1 jeep is required to start, as time goes on we need backups and retreat vehicles -

I've calculated that for supply runs, reinforcements and just general transport we are going to need about 4 boats, 2 jeeps, would be smart to get a heli of some sort. About 7 jerry cans to refuel them all when empty about 5 scrap metal for repairs I'm thinking 5 fuel tank parts 12 wheels would be smart 7+ engine parts 4 windscreen glass(optional) And this is pretty much bare minimum, if we want to get more vehicles, this is much more. Needless to say these need to be our prime trading items because in order to get everything under control and functional we need vehicles, no questions asked.... -

I thought that electro was the closest area to get it and also, If we can get our first huey, I'll be more than happy to fly us a quick run to the the NW airfield and fly off till extraction is called for could be the best option for saving fuel and other things like that. Also if you have TS could you please try to get on, It's easier to plan on there than on a forum lol. -

This Mod Seems Like It's Turning Into Dead Frontier

I think it is in a way, you loot items to further your survival, you have zombies that get in your way(The further on you get tho the zombies become so much of a threat you literally NEED to group up.) PvP isn't in the game but there is an "arena" that if desired, you can battle others in. The only things that is 100% unrelatable to dead frontier is vehicles and armor. Not saying this is a bad thing as dead frontier is a great game but I'm just pointing out a fact... CoolCat -

hueys are very prone to damage. We also need tons of jerry cans and dangerous electro trips to refuel them... having vehicles comes at a price. could ppl get on the TS3 server, I'm wanting to talk to other people in the group to come up with a gameplan... CoolCat
