Hello everyone! So today, I was running around the northeast airfield near Krasnostav. It wasn't long before some idiot bandit started taking potshots at me. I'm pretty new, and I'm not exactly equipped to tell where shots are coming from, so I just kind of chose a direction to run and booked it. I looped back into town, only to hear loud DMR shots near me. Sure enough, I peeked around the corner and saw the bandit sniper that had been shooting at me. I was faced with a bit of a dilemma here. Up to this point, for the most part, I'd been playing friendly. I'd only ever shot at one player, and I ended up taking pity on him and trying to help him out. But as I looked around the the side of the building, a couple of thoughts flew through my head. Primarily, "That DMR is so...nice...and shiny...and his backpack is so spacious..." as well as, "this guy is a crazy snipin' psycho!" Eventually, I worked up the courage to pop around the edge and hose him down with my M16 and steal his fancy gear and all of his raw goat. Delicious. There you have it; my very first player kill. My question to you guys is-- What was yours? What situation led to your first kill? How did it happen? Answer if you want, I'd be interested to know.

Hello everyone, I just started DayZ yesterday. I've finally got my first semi-kitted character, but I don't quite understand the backpack system. From what I've seen, a new set of inventory slots should come up when I open my pack, but I'm not seeing them. Any ideas why?

Hello everyone, I'm about as new to the game as you can get (haven't even installed it yet), but before I get going, I wanted to know...is the DayZ mod dead? Do a significant amount of people still play? From what I've seen, it looks like a lot of people have moved over to standalone and Arma 3. Any comments people would be appreciated.
