Having a finite amount of items is kinda stupid when people can log out with them so if all of them are on people that are offline there would be nothing for the people who come after them. This could be countered by having bodies stay on the server when offline like Rust.

After seeing screenshots of barrels full of UMPs and people with multiple military guns I don't think guns are rare enough. Atleast military ones. Civilian guns are fine though.

For Q1: what are you smoking? CLE is now better than ever and infected ai? What's wrong with the new ai it's good imo... Also I remember reading that the roadmap is for internal builds, so it wouldn't be the same as our build. Who knows what they got in there. Also for barricading: lockpicks. And animal group behavior. I haven't seen any animals in this patch but from the stable/exp thread for 0.58 there was many screenshots of animal groups and such. edit: In conclusion it's a nice list you made but you missed quite a few things that are already in + the internal roadmap point.

After playing .58 for a while I noticed that I find more guns on the west side of the map. From there I got a Mosin, 2 cr75s, doublebarrel shotty, AKM and an Amphibia. On the east side I only got a Magnum and izh-18. Is regional loot already in?

Can you pm me the server? I will come there and we can have a tea party. I'm tired of just being alone in the woods and not meeting anybody.

This isn't really standalone thing but a few weeks back I was playing epoch and I was in a military base inside a tent. Saw something move in the window and immediately went prone aiming at the door. Just for the luls I said hello and he actually responded! It was a little awkward but I said something like "we can both walk away" and we agreed and I ran out. It was a really nice encounter.

Perhaps I will. We could arrange a meeting.

Yes, but many people are too lazy to do that. Doing it ingame is much easier. Limiting the gamma slider would make less people do it.

Yeah, I don't mean Berezino and the coastal towns but places like Belaya Polana and Dobroe. Not many guns there though Magnums seem to be common in the east.

I have read them but it was long time ago. I remember they said that there is no regional difference but that is just what I have experienced. I shall go now and re-read them.

Yeah, best use would probably be to take it when hunting but if you avoid military areas good luck finding ammo for it...

Well that's sad. What is the gun even good for? Hunting is(maybe) hard without a scope and a single shot gun isn't gonna shine in pvp especially when it shoots a round that won't probably kill in one shot...

Should it fit the izh-18? I tried but couldn't put it in there.

After playing a few hours of 0.58 and almost dying of thirst I have to say it's awesome. I traveled from the Kamenka supermarket to Tisy, about 14 km if I used iZurvive correctly to measure it. Here is a little map of my journey: At the west end of the "northern highway" I stopped and looked both ways. And the view was what I think sums up DayZ perfectly: It's an endless road in the middle of nowhere, clouds, looks like it's gonna rain, pine trees on the sides of the road, It just looks so cool and makes you feel like you are alone in the wilderness. Well too bad if you walk 1 km east boom there is a city. Imagine a 200kmx200km map where cities are 50-100km away from each other so you need a vehicle to travel between them. BUT they are bigger, so one person can't loot it in 10 minutes. Of course there would be smaller villages between them to loot on the way. You would be walking on a road almost dying of starvation and then coming across a lonely gas station and finding the last can of beans to keep you going for another day. Hunting and fishing would be the most reliable food sources and you HAD to make a camp maybe with a small farm in order to stay alive. You could find a small cottage with absolutely nothing around it for many kilometers except a little old path leading there. You could board it up and go hunting before the sun sets. Hiding your camp would be actually possible if you take the time to find a good spot. Chernarus is always Chernarus and it will probably be one of the most played maps even when modding comes out. It has it's own unique feeling and it is a good map overall. But a new map for the players who want a hardcore experience would be a breath of fresh air could be the a nice thing. And if there was a lot of wilderness without towns it wouldn't be an impossible task. Sure the big cities would take a lot of work but I would say it is possible. Maybe share your thoughts on this?
