So, finally got some quality time on 58 stable last couple of days. Today, low and behold I finally came across a truck and knew where battery was nearby! In my excitement after stowing extra gun in inventory and roaring off towards my camp, I decided to take a ~"Shortcut"-™ and promptly rolled my shiny new acquisition. Took my glow plug, battery and sulked off with tail buried in hind parts. Question is for those who may have experience: what happens to 'my' truck on reset? I know I seen where out of gas or rekt trucks get a shiny new start on reset, but what about WRECKED trucks? Does a new one spawn somewhere else or does this one upright itself where it lay ready for a new master ? Thanks....

Saw you guys in there. I jumped in about the same time. Left a nice surprise/gift for some camp/town builder in front of the church in Svetlo where I woke up - also left something IN the church for those who may like to 'camp' at the altar.I had similar experience in Svetlo for my spawn. Left town with a sporter with 30 rd mag and 10 round backup. Seemed to be lots of burlap around and rice and a fair amount of canned goods. Clothes were spotty and only found a single backpack till I finally found rope to go w my burlap for an improvised. Encountered one Zed and dispatched the ho with my stick. Headed north and uneventful until I encountered someone entering the shed/barn I was about to enter in Novo on the west end of town. He had his rifle out and didn't see me. I said "hello traveler" from the doorway, but he was staring intently at something on the ground and after a second or two with no response, I booked it out of there. If anyone thought they heard a ghost greet them on the west side of Novo, that was me. Didn't feel like getting shot in the face unarmed like I did in Kamenka a couple of days ago. You might have been friendly, and maybe I just scared the dump out of you, but didn't want to take a chance.

Have the mine entrances at Kamensk(sp) been "rebuilt" somewhat? Was there this evening and there are doors again (locked). I thought I remembered that the last time I was there all the gear leading up to the mine entrances like tracks and rail cars had been removed and the place appeared like it had been demo'd. Am I sufferin' from the fever or what?

LOL - no, I love experimental and the new experiences that come with testing and discovering newly added features. I just hate the little time I've had this month to do so, especially with what .58 is bringing us (minus the lootgasms in the prior build). :-)

Got home, got the update from steam, launched dayz and... Prospecting to craft a stone knife on the beach at dusk... Sigh... Didn't get to play much on the last build this past weekend. Just enough to get geared and provisioned to make it alone in the great north, complete with all the implements needed... Incl storage (tents, battery & glow plug, and a know location for a truck stash I could "borrow") Oh well... Back at it... I hear barrels are 'fixed'. Anyone confirm items placed in them are persistent? I passed up several on my way north Saturday..

After the ddos event last weekend I had my. Character reset because I was logging in while they were up and down frequently. Think I'll wait a few hours before updating and logging in. Will report if my char is intact.

Is the exp hive nerfed now like stable? I logged into se01 to find myself as a fresh spawn.... Logged out last night outside gorka and my character was fine. Reading on twitter about the continuing ddos attacks but Hicks tweeted a reply to someone that exp should be fine earlier.... Anyone?

Has anyone else noticed that binoculars now appear in inventory as if something can be added to them? I found two pair in a deer stand and noticed that they both had the + / - next to them before I picked one up as if you could put something in or on them sort of like the way you can put an apple on a stick... ? Anyone?

The title of this thread is completely misleading - I was expecting some straight up pimp stories..... ;-)
