One of the things that always bothered me in Dayz mod was that you couldn't make a big camp because players in helicopters abused the render distance of the tree branches (by flying high so branches don't render) to easily find camps of other players. In the mod this resulted in most players having small stashes of gear across the map with some gear to avoid being raided by players with helicopters, after seeing the concept art about base building in standalone it seems like you're not only going to be able to build camps but also (small) bases. With helicopters and tree rendering working like in the mod this would ruin basebuilding. waht do you guys think?

I think there should be another health status betweenn 'bleeding' and 'unconcious'. Sometimes when you get hit by (a few) bullet(s) you can still run around with blood squirting out of you, other times you wil go unconcious when you've been hit. I think there should be another state that when you are near death you should become 'severly wounded'. In this state you are rolling on the ground (in pain) while bleeding. (like in rust). In this state you can't use any weapons or items. The only way to get out of this state would be somebody giving you a bandage and/or saline. what do you guys think?

I really like the mêlee system in mount&blade and i think it would be cool if this also was in DayZ, but i think the engine would'nt be able to handle it -
first i'd like to say sorry for my bad english, im Dutch After watching a few documentary's about people who survived in the wilderness i realized that these people didn't survive because they had better survival skills then the other survivors, they survived because they were mentally very strong and they didn't give up hope were others did. After reading the SAS survival guide i found out that your morale plays a key role in your chances of survival, How cool would it be if there was a morale / mental health system in Dayz. with this system you would not only have to worry about food, water but also how your character feels and it encourages player interaction Things that would increase your morale -Being around other people -Sitting near a fire -Dry clothes -Warm food (gives a reason to cook canned food) -Warm drinks (boiling water, spruce tea?) -Resting (logging off in a tent?) Things that would decrease morale: -Being alone for a long time -Being outside in the rain for a long time -Hunger, thirst, cold -when being sick -Killing other people -Being tired (once the stamina system is in) there would be several advantages/disadvantages with a high/low morale but i'm not sure what it could be but i would imagine something with running/crafting speed and also your gun acccuracy

hello! I think there should be a unconscious timer just like in dayz mod. Yesterday i got knocked out by a freshspawn, he didn't kill me and left me unconscious. i waited 30min before pressing the respawn button. there should be a unconscious timer so you know if it's worth waiting or that's its better to press the respawn button because you'll never wake up anyway.

I think the medical system is way to simple for a game that is about survival, when you get shot or stabbed in the chest you shouldn't just be able to 'fix' yourself by putting a bandage on it. There should be alot more steps to become healthy after an injury. Stab/bullet wound: when you're stabbed with a knife (or shot) you should have to clean the wound, stich the cut and change bandages regulary and maybe take anti biotics to avoid infections. Bone injury: when you break an arm or leg you should not be able to do anything to heal it without any form of painkiller (morphine, alcohol, etc). Once you have taken the morphine you have to set the bone in the right position (if the bone fractured in the wrong direction) then you have to splint the broken limb and the bone would slowly start to heal. These are just 2 short examples but i think its too easy to recover from any medical condition in game atm.

I think dayz looks too militaristic, being geared in dayz means running around in full military gear, this isn't very realistic and breaks immersion. I think there should be more good clothing/backpacks for players who dont want to wear military stuff and still be geared. Atm there are 4 types of gear in dayz -Improvised -civilian -hunter -military I think there should be another type of clothes/backpacks: outdoor/sports There are many great outdoor/sports brands who make clothes and gear made for outdoor activities like craft, fjalraven, the north face, haglöfs and many more. These types of clothes and gear should be just as good as military gear and should bring some more varierity to dayz.

In dayz mod alot of players were complaining that the as50 could kill with 1 shot, in dayz SA there are many weapons that kill with 1 chestshot (mosin, ak, and even the .45 pistols!) it doesn't matter if the player wears vests or anything. I think the firearms damage should be lowerd so that there will be more diversity in firearms and because no-one wants to get instakilled from a chest shot (even though its realistic)

I have also survived sometimes after getting shot in the chest, how come that in WOBO's gun guides (which are pretty accurate) alot of weapons instakill when shooting someone in the chest?

How cool would it be if there were working cellphones ingame. imagine finding a old nokia, you can call other players or text them. And when you're bored you should be able to play snake or listen to music.

it would be cool if there was an old battlefield somewhere in north chernanus with rusted and destroyed russian/german tanks and there could be a really rare chance to spawn a mosins/ppsh/mp40's or stg's

I agree, i should be able to wear a red t-shirt together with a rainckat -
1. They are working on a new engine 'enfusion' 2. Zombie AI and spawnrate is still WIP 3. They are working on a new sound engine 4. New loot system is already in expirimental 5. They want to increase server cap 6. They are working on more vehicles 7. Stop crying like a little b*tch and read the weekly status reports before posting this crap

What about oil rigs on sea, you should only be able to get to them if you have a boat, helicopter (once they added these vehicles) or a v3s submarine. The oil rigs should'nt contain much loot but they would be a good place to build your base. What do you guys think?

Hi! I was just watching a video about .56 expirimental and in that video they were talking about a new storage item: an (oil) barrel, you can only carry it in your hands and i can hold many items (not sure how many). If i ever find one i would never want to walk to my campsite with a barrel in my hands because its just too far away. So here is my suggestion: if you have a V3S cargo you can load the barrels in the back of the truck and it will then take up 1 player slot, this could also be possible with other big items (like military tent). What do you guys think? edit: and they would aslo be visible when they are on the cargo deck

Very few people use the walkie talkie ingame, one of the reasons is is that the walkie talkie becomes useless when you are further then 500m from the other walkie talkie, i think they should increase or even remove the range limit for the walkie talkies, who agrees?

Hi guys, Before Dayz mod came out i played alot Call of duty World at war / black ops zombies. What i really liked about that game(mode) was that there was a story behind every map, but you had to find clues and easter eggs to find out more about the story. When i started playing dayz mod i was very excited to hear about the secret radio transmission on green mountain (if you want to know more search on youtube: radio transmission green mountain) How cool would it be if the devs wrote a lore about standalone and if you wanted you could go easter egg hunting and learn more about the story behind the infection. What do you guys think? Sorry for my bad english, im dutch

Today i found a mine at vybor military base, i placed and armed it in front of a barracks building. The mine was barely visible in the grass. When i came back 30 minutes later the landmine was gone and there was a dead (and looted) dead body at the barracks door and it got me thinking. That guy got instantly killed by something he couldn't have seen and i didn't have to do anything to detonate the mind. I think this is very unfair because if i was surviving for a long time and i got instantly killed by a landmine i would feel cheated. You could say that the chance of this happening to you is very small because the mines are rare, but it does happen and that's what matters. So i have got some ideas that might work to make the landmine less powerfull: 1. Make them more visible (maybe make the tip orange?) 2. Make the mines less lethal (no instant kill) 3. Make the mines have a 3 sec countdown before detonating What do you guys think of this idea?
