Ok. Granted. And it says as much on the homepage, I know. I should not have defined what a zombie is without prefacing it with IMO. I've read your suggestions for the game and I like them, too.

1.7.1 The good, Bad, and Ugly

Excellent first two posts. I just wanted to say that so far this is the best game I've played for immersion and fun, and I'm very appreciative of what rocket and dayzdevteam have given us. I tried for two weeks to survive on my own with some success, but now that I play with friends it's sooo much better. The points I would like to raise have to do with realism. Obviously rocket has already mentioned that the spawn timers are broken and a fix is coming. Super. Hopefully a fix for the insta-spawn zombies in cities and deer stands comes quick, but I can wait patiently - I understand that this is an alpha and I totally support the team. Now let me wipe the semen off my chin and continue. Zombies are rotting corpses of humans who weren't smart enough to escape the other rotting corpses of other dumb ex-humans. Zombies senses should not be greater than a humans. I should be way more worried about other players than zombies. I should be able to take a couple hits without bleeding, they're zombies and their muscles are rotting; they should not be so strong that they can break me or bleed me with one hit. If there are a few of them got me cornered I don't mind, but I gotta carry more than just meds and meat. And hiding isn't reliable enough to peg survival on, especially with the animations from prone to upright taking so long (which is fine I'm used to it from Arma). But zombies are dead; their eyes should be failing, their hearing as well. In zombie genre films the survivors often mask their living human scent, indicating the zombies most reliable remaining sense is smell. Maybe you could add wind direction or something so that you have to worry about if they can SMELL you!! They're wandering around looking for meat to eat right? Someone said that as things are now the game is just about crawling from loot zone to loot zone collecting weapons that you cannot use, and now I gotta be watching out for players who know it's much easier to shoot at a player than a zombie. When I'm being shot at it takes me a while to even figure out where the shots are coming from, and I'm a living person with full blood and health. How can a deteriorating zombie instantly know where my shot came from when I'm prone and hidden? Doesn't make sense realistically. Zombies aren't smart, they're dumb. They were too dumb before the patch, granted, but these new guys attack like super intelligent Africanized bees on amphetamines. How about a mix and match of dumb zombies and smart zombies? Some are bound to be fresher than others, anyway lol. How about dead players become zombies, too? Walking around with the gear they died with? That would be interesting. Zombies spawning in front of my eyes on the spot that I just dropped one, or every zombie in town running toward my single gunshot in the surrounding hills is; in my well informed opinion- overkill. Doesn't make sense. Maybe it's just a bug that will get ironed out and I'm not gonna freak out or anything but, well, it's kinda not fun right now because it doesn't make sense that a zombie is smarter, faster, and stronger than me. After all, I'm the one who is the survivor - the zombie already had their chance and failed. I hope y'all understand what I'm trying to say - I'm NOT COMPLAINING and I'm not whining (you who love to say so) - I'm offering constructive criticism. And if DayZ is ever stand alone I'll fork out the money gladly so that rocket and the team can get some reward for their labor of love. They've made a great example of what a gaming community can accomplish. Ok I'm done.
