Usefullness? Yes, Id like to be able to spray tents. Do I think there are better features to work on in the meantime? Yes. I like it, but I prefer the devs work on more important stuff. Maybe down the pipeline.

If you think about it, some of the items make sense, while some do not. Water purification tablets for example, you would THINK that you could stack them, but, if you think about it, the ones that are shown in game, are in a "tablet" box, as in, you "pop" a pill out of its package. How would you stack this? Think of it like a pack of gum, you pop it out, it doesnt exactly stay in afterwards.

Im ok with a landmine field, as some military bases would have them around them. It would make braving the military bases more "adventurous" since you wouldnt be able to approach from ANY direction, like most people do. If you find a breech in a fence, you have to take the risk of braving a landmine, or two....or 5 :P Would make military zones MUCH more dangerous, and FORCE people to take more caution around them, like they should.

Only thing I can thing of is either 1. Hacked. 2. You have been DERP'd by alpha. I lost my mp5 when I logged out one time too mate, its a glitch that can happen. Shitty luck mate.

Im saying no to this for a couple of reasons. 1. Your "character" would also have to include each character that you have on every private server, which would require the game to do alot of searching throughout every single server. I dont even know how many servers there are, so, that would create a draw on resources for the team, which I would much rather see go towards useful gameplay features. 2.....why? I can easily remember what my character has, If you have been playing with that character enough, you should to. If this game had more of a "loadout" system, then yah, I could see it. But, with the way dayz is, no, I just cant see this happening.

Your gonna find out soon that when the 0.56 update comes out, your not going to know where to loot, except for everywhere :) The loot in this update is a old system, and they will be changing over to a new system as soon as possibe.

I could see this, but only as a random feature, such as some doors being open and others closed in houses. Not EVERY greenhouse should have vegetables growing in them, as some would of been not used. Also, if EVERY greenhouse had food growing in them (rotten or not) it would become alot easier for players to find food.

I beg to disagree with the original poster. I have played battlefield myself for quite a long time, ever since BFBC2. And I can say without a doubt that adding different game modes into Dayz would butcher the game. This game is in alpha, and it is heading in the direction (generally) that the directors want it to be. If you want other game modes, they will be created. When modding becomes available, when the game is released. This game is a survival game, not a shoot em up, as the creators have stated multiple times.

Is there anything that needs to be changed? Or do you guys believe it will function basically exactly the same as in the mod (I never played the mod, so I don't know how it worked).

It would depend on how the belt inventory section was layed out. Normal belts wouldnt have the capacity to carry anything large, so i could see it being something like 1x6, or something equivilant to that.

100% behind this. This could allow players to create their own players "backstory" and would be great for RP'ers.

Add this onto my last post (cant edit my post on mobile) be nice if we saw some infected in straight jackets, or in patient gowns while we were here...

Side note, this might go REALLY well with the backstory for the country. Eg, when people first started getting "infected" maybe they sent them to the mental health facility, because they thought they had a mental illness somehow?

Agreed with this. 1 step further, poison arrows? Plenty of medical supplies available to combat this, could just get someone sick. I could see the bow becoming a VERY useful weapon to most players, even more so than guns.

Add option to lower breathing and equipment sounds locally

I think he just wants a option to lower his own characters breathing from his own perpective, and not anyone elses....aka a master volume control for the character. -

I could see this being implimented, but only in a specific fashion. I can see where he is coming from, from his viewpoint, and i respect that. What im getting out of this is (me just splitting off my own idea here) is a way of differentiating between players. No, you have no way of telling if a player is good or bad in this game (usually.) Maybe doing different things in this game can give characters a different appearance? Eg, like, "hanging" around different players, or not killing people, things like that, could give you character a "cleaner" appearance. Eg, straighter hair, cleaner skin, stuff like that. Meanwhile, on the other end of the spectrum, you could have KoS'ers, who have dark colored eyes, wild hair, dirt covering their skin, a wild look to them. This doesnt DIRECTLY affect gameplay, but can change how people view their characters. This could give hints towards other players how people play their game, but not be entirely truthful. What if your a "good" player who just had to defend themselves from a load of bandits? Thats up to you to convince others. (Just spitballing here, came up with this on the spot.)

Im a little bit of both sides in this arguement. I get it, its supposed to be hard. And yes, I WANT it to be hard. I thought it was too easy to get geared pre 0.55 But now, I think its slightly too hard. Im surviving, unlike alot of people out there. Ive found enough supplies to not have to dig into the food that I had stockpiled pre 0.55. Personally, I dont mind the patch, I like hard, but, I can see where people are coming form. In the middle would be the best.

Although, the point of this is moot, seeing as the new loot system puts any object anywhere, loot can be anywheres.
