For all we know, maybe no1 has simply found it yet. I know the acog's are out and about, and since the SVD's are spawning at the helo crashes, they might be taking priority. Or I could be a blabbering windbag.

This game isnt the walking dead. These aren't the "undead". These are sick humans who are infected with a disease that wipes out their humanity. They are humans, just with a really mutated from of rabies. Basically.

Unless your like me, who when he first starts to play, drops off a cliff and lands on some rocks, breaks his leg, then is unable to get off said rocks.....I mean, but thats just me. :rolleyes:

I have something Im curious about here, mind if I threadjack a bit? It goes along with the subject. My internet is roughly around how yours was actually, and I was wondering, is there any efficient ways of speeding up the internet for Dayz + other gaming?

You can ask other people mate. Servers have no difference. Its the individual infected.

Im thinking MAYBE some of the devs decisions might be due to the game engine. Maybe it cant handle certain things? Im not sure, im not the devs, i dont know what the specs are. Although, i do agree on your point.

This is false......it depends on their level of stamina. Infected are not "faster" or slower on different servers. There has been bugs, yes, with the infected, but as for now, certain ones run faster or slower, but the server makes ZERO difference.

Id prefer a zapper for that. Or a quick smack on the head with a AKM :D

Because the pepper spray is not a imobilzing agent against infected. It will quite literally have ZERO to no effect on them (at least, im assuming so, I dont know what their pain tolerance is, or if they even feel pain, I cant remember reading up about it somewhere.) Infected track by sight, yes, thats true, with the new stealth system. But they also track by sound, which is demonstrated. Maybe it might stop them for a little bit, and im talking a VERY little bit. Id rather see the devs work on something worthwhile, other than something that would be used, what, maybe by 2% of all characters in the game? (random number there) And the way the current engine works, with character models, I could very easily negate the effect of pepper spray by having either a "Gas Mask" or, simply holding my head down. The spray wouldnt be hitting your eyes then. Cattle prod works in all situations. Spray doesnt.

I like this idea, could be very nice for some torture to poor players, and some RP :)

The difference between though though is the weight behind them, they have a tanginble difference. A fireaxe would obviously be able to do MORE damage than a little hatchet, seeing as there is more weight behind it, allowing there to be more damage behind each blow. There's a reason its the strongest in the game. ;) The pepper spray, yah, it could work for imobilizing someone, but, that would be just their sight. The infected, I REALLY cant see this doing anything to stop them. They can obviously still track us by hearing, which this wont stop. My opinion remains the same.

I still dont see a point to it. You could achieve (basically) the same results with a cattle prod, which is already in the game and ALMOST has the same range. Incapacitation is the goal, and thats what we are aiming for. And, I havent seen anything, although im sure its buried in the forums somewhere, how do the infected even detect us? I know they can by sound and sight, and, if im not mistaken, pepper spray wont stop being heard.

Pepper spray, couldnt see that in any way being helpful. Wanna incapacitate someone? Cattle prod. Donezo. Pepper spray wouldnt work on the infected either, so REALLY cant see that in the game.

The grenade "im assuming" in the future, will have the ability to damage world containers. Maybe im wrong. I could see this for base defense mainly, because it adds another "hey, what am I going to expect in this base if im looting it. Bear traps? Mines? Always look at the floor. This adds another factor to make players move more cautiously and think to survive, which, im totally ok with. Im liking this idea.

I could really get behind this. It would allow for some pretty cool RP scenarios too. AKA, cops vs criminals, Bacalavas and the whole 9 yards.

This isnt skyrim, or Fallout NV, thats the problem. These are SURVIVORS. 95% of people in the WORLD would have no feasible clue on how to "create" ammunition. (random number I drew there, but im pretty sure im not that terribly far off.) This game is designed to be hard, and to find ammo, scavenge and such. I just cant feasibly see this in the game. The devs are trying to make it HARDER for players to survive, not to make them rambo decked out with unlimited ammo.

The problem with a choke hold, is that, IF you are not trained in the technique, you can quite easily kill someone. These are not well trained military solders we are talking about, they are survivors. Intelligent mind you, yes, and resourcefull, but, not well trained in hand to hand combat techniques.

Somehow, I feel like that will come, but, WAY down the line, when we can make additions to our bases, as in, finding lights around the world and using the generator to power them.

Actually, there was a couple of episodes where they were desperate for anything, food, water, shelter. I would like things to be like that (I think it was the first few episodes of season 5?) -
This is simply a curiosity thread here, but im wondering, what does the player base want the MOST out of the upcoming dayz features? Personally, im just wanting balancing and bugs to be fixed, but there's other features im really excited for too, like being able to build "bases". What do you guys think?

Battle Rifle FTW. The only thing I could think of is balance. It would be the all around rifle that EVERYONE would want. Basically a semi-automatic sniper rifle. (Key word Basically). I could see some bandits just LOVING this rifle.... -

Id actually be ok with the ability to plant apple trees. It would be another survival mechanism. And its not like you couldnt just make your fortress near a apple tree farm anyways....
