Dayz really blurry and zoomed in

Could be as simple as raising FoV and making sure your resolution is 100% in your video option. You also may not be healthy, post processing puts a blur when your hurt/unhealthy. -
Download HQ MONITOR by CPU ID. Launch it then play DayZ. If you see your CPU or GPU usage get up to or close to 100% you found your bottle neck. I have an i5 4400 and GTX 760 and found that my GPU was struggling. I did an overclock and did see some improvement. I still get around 17-25 fps in major cities, but almost everyone does.

I would say to check it out again. Depending on how long it's been since you played. There have been some good changes recently that are worth checking out as well as some good stuff coming with .57. CLE really made things a struggle to survive and pushed some players inland for gear/supplies. You are correct however that many/most still hang around the coast looking for PvP. I play on high pops, 40-50 and rarely see anyone outside of the coast (including military locations). Go to the coast and your tripping over survivors. -

As far as I am concerned Zeds, Zombies or Infected are all acceptable names when referring to DayZ infected.No clue where Zambie came from...only ever heard Puhdado call them that and I'm not sure why. Edit: As stated previouslY the original term zombie did not refer to undead. George Romero changed the popular definition of zombie. -
Not really, the definition of zombie is always changing. Originally the term zombie had nothing to do with undead (first zombie films were not undead zombies as we know them today). Infected in DayZ are more like zombies when you look at the original definition of the term. Besides, most people refer to the infected as zombies. We all know what he means so why even post it.

Having the same issue. Very low server pops at the moment and they are fluctuating regularly. Restart did nothing for me, DayZ/Steam/PC/Router/Modem.

I like this idea, I'm not much for the military look so more civilian options sounds great. Hopefully we eventually get a version with a hydration bladder, something the size of a talon maybe? Motorcycle boots to go with my riders jacket? Yes please!

Gotta love friendly hostages! Great vid as usual. I never played the MOD myself and somehow didn't visit Green Mountain until I was 200+ hours into SA...but the prison was literally right in front of him. You were right not to trust him. -
Although many may have been suggested I think alot of these are good ideas. I want a rabbit whistle since I still haven't seen one in game. Thanks to DURRHUNTER for your insightful reply.

I myself prefer using bolt action and hunting rifles in DayZ over assault rifle and SMG. Would love another to play with!

Beside the above mentioned, sometimes leaving the building your are having trouble looting and then vaulting will allow you to pick up items. I believe it updates your position to the server reliably which brings you back into sync. Also, there WAS a problem with the CLE. Some servers were spawning under the minimum required number of items. This was a per server problem and mentioned by devs in a status report I believe.

I remember the announcement of DayZ standalone. Never played Arma but when I heard the concept of DayZ I was excited. Long time FPS (Doom Deathmatch), MMO (Ultima/EQ), and zombie genre fan. Years went buy, had a kid, moved and forgot all about it. A few months ago I somehow stumbled across Hunting Bandits on YouTube by M1ndr. Bought into early access several days later.

What are your specs other than your GPU? It will most likely be your CPU that is bottleneck in as stated earlier but specs would help. There are plenty of performance guides online concerning DayZ including under Troubleshooting section on this forum. Pinned by SMoss. A free program called Unpark CPU also helped me quite a bit.

What Orlok said. But at the rate at which they are adding military/full auto weapons, I'm not sure if that is the direction they are heading. I want to jump out of my seat and cheer when I find a can of peaches.

I think everyone is underestimating how difficult it is to knock someone out IRL. Saying it is perfect is a ridiculous statement. Nothing in this game is perfect. Helmet protection especially is very undervalued when it comes to fists in DayZ

Cyanide, great idea! A new way to kill yourself, or maybe skip it into a canteen/canned food for another player to find. Or you could always force feed it to a player...:)

This would add alot to surviving weather in DayZ! This adds some negative aspects to normally positive action. As Beef Bacon mentioned, sweating after starting a fire to combat the cold could prove fatal.

If they don't wanna be bothered to deal with problems like this perhaps Early Access Alpha just isn't for them? Don't get me wrong, I would prefer it to be fixed. But these things are gonna happen unfortunately, comes with the territory of early access. -
Love this idea, I would gear up with this and call myself 8bit_Hobo! How about bandana + Ashwood stick? Maybe 2X2 but doesn't take up your backpack slot? You can put pumpkins on your Ashwood stick right!?

Pretty sure you would wake up when someone started dragging you/hitting you/looting your gear. Hate this mechanic...please never implement. I do love the idea of stats though...days survived/encounters/kills/etc.

M1ndr - Hunting Bandits, not very often but good quality. Barely Infected - He has a very calm voice and a unique playstyle in comparison to most same old death match DayZ streamers/youtubers. WOBOS - Great info videos! Sobieski - Catch & release series is great. Though few and far between. Just some of my fav :) -
