Hi, I Apologize if this has already been discussed but I cannot find any threads that match the point I'm trying to make. Shock Damage, or bone damage as some might know it seems to,exist in Dayz Alpha as an invisible stat that builds up over time. When you take ballistic or melee damage from another player or zombies you take a portion of shock damage that builds up throughout the life of your character. Once you have built up enough shock damage, regardless of your characters healthy status or the condition of your cloths, It will only take a tiny portion of damage to instantly kill you. I have no idea why this has been implemented but It's happened to me on a number of occasions on characters which I have spent LOTS of hours gearing up and I end up losing all the time I have spent surviving to just one hit of a zombie. I think that this stat only makes the game unfair to players trying to do the right thing and survive for as long as possible with their characters. It is discouraging and pointless the way it is. My suggestion is that it should be completely removed from the game or at least made so that the shock damage you have built up slowly degenerates back to nothing as you continue to look after your character by eating well etc..
