I'm sure im not the only one out there who makes DayZ YouTube videos. If I am then I apologise. The reason I made this post was that I'm wondering if there is a way to record "cinematics" in DayZ or even just in ArmA 2 on the chernarus map. I would prefer in DayZ as I could get some cool shots of zombies. What I'm basically looking for is if there is a way to use a sort of "free-camera" mode in the game that lets me move around and capture footage without any on-screen obstructions.

Servers with side chat enabled (if there still are any) is a much better way of finding friendly players. It's very easy for 2 people to spot each other at 50m+ and if they do... without anyway to talk to each other most just shoot. Its either me or you right ?

Realistic rare encounters would be nice. Like maybe a crashed medic truck on a road in the middle of the map. That would be a nice encounter to be able to get meds outside of the hospitals. I'm not really up for the whole "Super Zombie" rare encounter kinda thing.... but some more encounters like the crashed heli would fit in nicely.

Very well written.. I do like the idea but not to the extent you would. Something similar would be nice but I wouldnt like it to be such a huge factor to the game.

Something similar like this happened me when I found camo clothing in elektro. Every time I would connect to a server my guy would pass out. Not just a regular one either, this would have me passed out for like 5 straight minutes.

Maybe for players just recently spawned it might make a difference. For two guys in the NWAF staring each other down, all I have to do is press F make sure im on Full-auto and it doesnt make a difference to me :P

Even if you spawn in Kamenka, within an hour and half I'm fully geared up and ready to head north, providing the spawns havnt been looted already.

Your view used to be exactly the same as mine when I started out, now, alone im an out and out bandit... but when playing with my friends we are nice people to come by.

These guys...... 3 of them. 2 Ghillie snipers and 1 Gunner. First of all they were shouting at me and a friend to " GET DOWN ON THE GROUND DROP YOUR WEAPONS" and then when we wouldnt they just shot us. Then I ran back to Elektro were they were, and what do you know they were still there. Only thing I had picked up on the way was a hatchet, so they were shouting Friendly! at me. I played along for a bit, did what they said.... then in Elektro supermarket the told me to drop the hatchet. My legs were broken so I acted dumb for a bit, then got two lucky hits on one of the ghillie. Then they sprayed me down. Determined to get revenge, I spawn in Krutoy Cap, and sprinted to Elektro. Took me a while to get there but low and behold the three musketqueers were still there running around the office/school. As soon as they saw me they were shouting me in game name at me, knowing it was me. They still offered to be friendly (as if) the told me to get up to the top of the school so they could "help me". I did what they said again, but OMG when i got there one of the ghillie idiots had dropped his AS50 on the ground to pick something up. I snatched the sniper, and then one of the other guys shot me a few times, I screamed in pain in direct chat saying that i didnt have ammo and then stopped, but my legs were broken and i was bleeding. The guys bandaged me.... then out of spite I disconnected and took their sniper with me :) If one of you guys read this.... a big FUCK YOU :)

LOL an aborting little bitch, you have the nerve to call me that after being killed by them twice already. I still ran back there and wanted payback, so did my friends. It was sweet sweet revenge to log out with that sniper. Hope the idiot ghillie who dropped it took weeks to find it. :)

Want to team up ? until he gets a gun and decides he wants some loot from his new friend. He only had a hatchet anyway, he'll get over it

Just got out of the game there with my fresh character. Spawned in Komarovo, ran to Balota Airfield, found an M24 and an AKM in the ATC Tower (Wtf, that place never has anything good). I then find a Czech Bag in the little hut just at the entrance.... then to top it off I find a dead body behind one of the hangars with a DMR and 5 AKM mags :DDD Made my day anyway.

Sounds like a hacker tbh, not sure why they were giving that stuff to you though...
