    Lets talk about the Recoil system and stabilization of firearms

    5.56x45 rifles (M4, AUG, AK101) actually deal (slightly) more damage per shot than 7.62x39 ones (SKS, AKM, IZH-18, CR527). This is because the 5.56x45 cartridge is a more modern one and is designed to enhance bullet penetration and cause deeper wounds despite its smaller size. Several youtubers have tested this amd came to this conclusion, and some personal tests that I have can confirm it.All of that being said, the AKM does kick like a horse in real life, and the 5.56x45 rounds also expel less energy as recoil force, so the recoil from 5.56x45 weapons should be easier to control than that of 7.62x39 weapons.

    Thoughts on Cannabis

    Reduce sway? Definitely not. Slight "shadow creatures" could be good but would have to be very small, more like you keep thinking you see something moving in the bushes out of the corner of your eye. Also make vision slightly blurry or grainy and change brightness/contrast slightly depending on how much you have used. In terms of hunger status it could just give you messages/status indicators indicating that your stomach is not as full as it actually is (i.e. you are at Stage 2 stuffed, bit recieve no messages). It should also reduce pain (i.e. reduce blurring and color-loss effects from taking damage) slightly. Also every 15-30 seconds it could give you a message "Dude, I'm so high" :)

    It seems to me that he replied to argue that a temporary loss of hearing is not a real disadvantage, or at least not enough of one to cause players to reconsider shooting someone.

    I agree, magic weapon slots should not be in the game. However, I remember one of the devs saying that they were planning to keep this system as it is (I can't seem to find the source again, so don't quote me on that).

    There is a fire mode function. You can switch the M4 between automatic and semi, and the IZH-43 and Blaze 95 between individual-barrel and both-barrel fire by tapping the T button. Every automatic should be able to toggle fire mode, but last time I checked these are the only ones that can.

    I like this idea, especially as it would likely replace the "hide body" option. I would support something like this and the ability to drag a corpse into the bushes/alleyways, but the hide body option is really unrealistic and doesn't belong in DayZ in my opinion.

    Agreed, have some beans. Something else I'd like to see is postmortem decapitation. Someone fucks with you? Catch them, kill them, and chop off their head. Collect a ton and stick them on pikes around your base. Maybe even incorporate some poor bastard's skull into your headpiece, or wear their face like a mask.

    Server Hopping Fix

    That's what private servers are for. Personally I use private hive most of the time to avoid server hoppers and the like. And besides, people seem to be more friendly/willing to not KOS overall on private servers, which is definitely a benefit IMO.

    In my opinion this should replace the Gorka camo. It has always annoyed me how there is always a large patch of your clothing not camouflaged, and often in a color that does not fit the camouflage parts.

    I agree with this. I also think that hair style, facial hair, and piercings should be options in the creation menu. If a long beard can only be achieved by living long, facial hair will become another one of those things where there is one objective "best"/endgame option rather than it being up to personal choice, which in my opinion should not be part of DayZ. I'd rather have a survivor's appearance reflect their personal style rather than just being a sort of medal for surviving so long. Of course the growth and maintenance of hair over time could still be in, I just think that we should be able to spawn with our hair how we like.

    Pretty much agree with all of this except the first one. In my opinion tiring should be one mechanic handled by the real-life player (i.e. try playing for 48 hours straight and see how it goes).

    Spawnings in Buildings

    I agree that we should spawn in buildings. Not because people would not be able to locate themselves (any experienced player will still recognize the area, maybe even more than before), but because it makes more sense. Why would you just wake up one day post-apocalypse and decide to stroll out into the middle of nowhere with nothing but inadequate clothing, a chemlight, and a rag? If you think about it the apocalypse clearly didn't happen yesterday, so realistically our character would have already survived for quite some time, and would have some amount of gear already (but IMO this route would be bad, game balancing/progression and all). But there should be some system to prevent players from spawning into a building where another player is already holding out. Maybe just block spawning within a certain radius of another player?

    Shopping cart/trolley!

    I agree 100%, any modern post-apocalyptic setting absolutely needs shopping carts. Of course it should mostly be for the more practical/realistic uses (moving supplies or bodies, supporting a wounded teammate to walk, even cooking like in the original post), but maybe turning it into a vehicle and things like that could be implemented (probably not though...). Of course these would be essentially immobile if you take them off of the paved road, unless you upgrade the wheels somehow.

    Rebalance Ammo

    I agree with most of your points on stack size rebalancing, except the .308 Winchester. The Winchester rounds are smaller and weaker than 7.62x54mmR, and should therefore stack higher (to 25 or 30 maybe). Most of these stack sizes are good, except for shotgun shells (should be 20 in my opinion) and the .308 (as explained above) in my opinion. I disagree with you on the .45 ammunition's power, in real life these rounds can easily kill a person in a single shot and this should be reflected in-game. I agree with your points on ammunition distribution though. There's no point in the IZH-18 or CR527 existing at all as the ammunition is nearly impossible to find for them without going to military bases, at which point you're likely to have the SKS which is pretty much objectively superior (but if you think about it the SKS shouldn't even spawn in military locations because it wouldn't really be in service anymore, but I digress).

    Pretty good idea, beans for you. Of course the pulse check mechanic could be used to check if they were actually dead. Also it would be interesting if your stillness was affected by your fatigue. So for example, if you have been running for 1km straight with all your heavy gear, it would be very difficult to control your breathing enough to appear dead.

    Ghillie Bag Wrap

    Hmm, I'm kind of both for and against this idea...I lean more towards against though. On one hand there is the argument of realism. In real life You would be able to do this, and it could obviously be very helpful. But on the other hand there is the argument of game balance. The choice between the two endgame backpacks is intended to be a bit of a compromise. You can have a Mountain Backpack with very high carrying capacity that is highly visible, or you can sacrifice some space for greatly enhanced camouflage with the Hunting Backpack. This way there is some element of choice for your gear, rather than there being one obvious choice as the objective best gear. Personally I would like to see more of this in DayZ, so in my opinion this Ghillie wrap should not be implemented.

    In that case I agree with you, this should not be implemented. In real life there would be no magical force preventing other people from looting your stash...that's why you need to hide and/or protect it.

    Make firearms less powerful

    I compleyely disagree. If you get shot by pretty much anything you're basically done, unless you're wearing protective gear or can get medical attention quickly, the latter of which is not really a common option in DayZ. But unfortunately with 0.57, it seems that the developers do agree, as firearm damage seems to be heavily nerfed.

    Many other threads about this. That said, in my opinion things like this are very important for DayZ. It contributes to the realism aspect (you wound have am equipment belt in real life), and the aesthetic that I hope to someday see in-game.

    Less Military. More Apocalyptic. (Clothing)

    I agree with all of this. The look I currently go for in the game is "partial military" - for example Brown Hunter Pants, Checkered Wool Coat, UK Assault Vest, hunting Backpack, and a radar cap. Looks much cooler than full Gorka IMO. What I'd really like to see is the ability to make something like this (for the headgear). Instead of the Chitin helmet maybe something more sensible and appropriate for the game, such as a Ballistic helmet, Tanker Helmet, or some other type of helmet, maybe even an improvised one.     Steam Achievements concept

    it's definitely possible for the achievement to only apply to a single life. However the counter has to be handled by the game, not Steam itself. There are other games that have things like this. For example in Dark Souls PTDE there is an achievement to collect all of the rare weapons in the game, but they must all be collected on a single character, not over multiple.

    Possible improvement for third person and fire fights.

    You could easily just put it away to peek, then take it out to shoot. And it would also cause issues for people who can't play 1PP for actual reasons (i.e. medical reasons).
