I looked it up earlier, may well have too. Made it to the NWAF, now i can see why people fight for control of it WOW. Damn zombies though, think i had to take care of about 10 there.

So after my reset i re spawned ( new) near Solnichny. Rather than look for a back pack and weapons etc i just went for food and drink and had them as soon as i saw them , as mentioned here somewhere. I headed to Dolina because its an easy trip there and stocked up a bit on some food and drink. I decided to bypass a detour to a place where i know weapons routinely spawn but isn't on any of the ( spawn point ) maps for weapons. Last few times there ive found 357 hand guns, repeater ( 357) with 357 ammo as well. That handgun packs a real punch, i had around 60 plus rounds and it would drop a zombie with one shot in my previous life. I was a bit nervous as not going there but i had a plan to finally get to where i wanted to go. So i was rather happy with the gear i had, no guns yet though, although i found a splitting axe. I stopped in at Polana and found me a repeater plus some 357 ammo :D at least i knew it was a one shot drop if i got in trouble. From there a trip to Gorka, then up to Dubrovka. Id found a 25 place back pack and pet water bottle so i made the run to Krasno. I wasnt interested in going to the airfield, this was more about exploration. Skirting around the nth west of the airfield i headed to Polana the skirted around Novo and headed to Svergino. :o Phew time for a breather. The headed to Severo, Ratnoe then turned tail and went up nth east to Nagornoe , found myself a tactical vest and then headed to Kamensk stopping along the way to admire the sights :thumbsup: . Stary Yar, Polesovo, Zaprudnoe and then Novaya , i now had an sks as well which i am carrying in my hands, still dont have a fire axe yet though >:( and i still have the 357 repeater rifle and a huge amount of everything. All the time im looking at places to make a base when that finally gets put in the game. There some great spots that have tree cover ( to stop choppers coming in) and good side access cover. Zombies? you ask, well i think i have dispatched about 50 so far, lead them around a corner and wait then chop, lol. Or if they haven't seen me i come up behind them and take them out first. Other survivors? a few Ive seen, they haven't seen me and there was one group of about 8 that ran right past me, that was heart pumping nerves right there, they were not there on a holiday. Gave some cans of drink and some fresh food to a new guy i saw running around that was almost dead near Novo, poor bugger though i was going to shoot him :o . He said don't shoot don't shoot, in a bit of a panic ( i think he had been culled quite a few times) I said , "dont worry mate, im not a mongrel like some others". Dropped it on the ground and run off. So now im sitting waiting my time to make the push down sth, only thing i need is a mosin, scope and binos and id love a 357 magnum too, if i want to act on what my plans are further down the track, if i stay alive that is. If you see PA8 on a server its me, i will be alone ( for now ) , i am friendly unless you aren't, say hi. No i will not put my weapon down on the ground if you have one as well. Cheers all.

Step 1, found a truck in the middle of nowhere :D 2 , learn to drive it 3 have some fun and decide where im going 4 my connection crashes and when i come back on i have died 5 respawn , in the rain and being slapped by 2 zombies :rolleyes: :thumbsup: 6 reset my brain and off i go again......

But you can see movement easier.

Well, i had a couple of disastrous trys the last few days. I got into a police station , just as i was looking around i heard footsteps a funny laugh and "you are dead" , mind you i was totally bare in gear, id just spawned around the corner from it. I was no earthly threat to this guy, but oh well. I did say something to him but its too colourfull to repeat here >:( . Anyway i re spawned in near Svetlo on the beach to the south, i went in and right away started finding food and drink. I had them right away until i found better stuff. I got into the cop shop in svetlo and found a double barrel rifle with ammo for it , happy days :D So i skulked around svetlo for a while and headed nth west. At the time i didnt know it was svetlo . Moving from building to building i heard the zombies going nuts, then some foot steps running along the middle of the road heading nth out of town. Id just about finished my collecting of gear , so i crept out and followed a long enough distance behind the zombies and the other person. For whatever reason one zombie stopped in its tracks so i had to scout around it and keep moving. I veered of the main road into a wreckers yard somewhere and found marin back pack. Headed into polana, did a bit of searching for certain things that i thought were worth having and kept going nth west, i then saw a big town that turned out to be Novo , i stayed on the southern west outskirts and didn't go in , id heard gunshots and wasn't going to risk it although i had a good kit on me. Kept moving nth west and found Pobeda Dam , then moving through a couple of houses i found a mosin, then 20 more rounds of ammo hidden under a bed. I went out into the forest a bit and left the twin barrel and went back for the mosin, got it :D So im up on the second floor about to log off and i hear someone say , " im friendly" then that laugh i heard earlier when i was shot and bang. I looked down and there was the guy that the zombies were after and the one that i am sure shot me. I saw him move toward the house i was in , he didn't know i was there, he went in. I hadn't looted anything at all from in there as i was fully hydrated and energized , no point. He was gathering some gear and then came up stairs, opened the door that i was standing behind and i promptly invited him in with a fire axe through the skull. :thumbsup: He didn't even see me :D I didn't take anything, didn't need to, oh apart from his worthless KOS life :lol: I happily logged

Ive learnt that if you lure a zombie around into a doorway you have a very good chance of beating it up without damage as it cant get a run at you and flail those arms. 2 hits with a pickaxe. 4 hits with a can of beans. Edit: If you go into hypothermia, ( which i did) and you can wait out the rain do so even by running around and around in a barn or wharehouse. If you are full on food and drink and it stops raining and you havent got a heat pack "run forest run". I ran and ran when the rain stopped and when i logged out i saw the "healing " bar appear :D happy days. Brass knuckles work wonder on the zombie horde , use the in doorway tactic and they drop like flies. Just have to make sure you have an exit cos the dead bodies can block you. Plus a question. What do you do with all your stuff once you are totally full up hydrated fully and fed fully, can you stash it somewhere? Cheers

I spawned, i ran , i ran , i ran , nothing, would have died of starvation but i let a zombie do the act. Honestly there at least needs to be a ration pack cos if you land at a well landed spawn point what hope have you got at all. Then i came back and had a decent amount of gear and got me a double barrel rifle. Some guy comes up and says put your hands up, i say "no, you put yours up ". " im as sus of you as you are of me" , then he gets shot in the head from somewhere and i scuttle off, to die falling out of the ship in a glitch :P

Ah, really a tent? Thats kind of cool. So to get this right, if i have a tent i can store my gear there. I did see a guy putting his gear down as i was in a building and log off , was he trying to log and come get it again, i didn't think that would work. Is that what a persistent server means then. Thanks all.

I had a very mixed day, im still figuring the right way to do stuff. I died from the three day old with good ammo etc as i learned something about protective cases, ouch. Three more times i went in as a fresh faced dude and three times i just had to let a zombie finish me off, just no food anywhere, nothing at all. I ran for miles and found nothing >:( in any direction ( ration pack for new spawns would be handy there) . Then was having worries getting in to servers so i finally got in one and it was a first person server, Oh well. But wow , its really amazing how the game changes, first thing you know about a zombie is that horrid sound as they run up near you. The whole dimension of the game changed and i kind of enjoyed it. Was in Berezino and well i got on a hospital roof and as i was running i fell through it and DEAD >:( . What tha???? So i started again further sth and ran back to the big B in the hope i was able to get my loot, sadly no :( . I did manage to find a Marin back pack early on on a tray of a car and started filling it up. I dont have any weapons apart from an axe but thats fine. The 1st person is so much more difficult as you don't have the all round view , i can only imagine what it would be like if you could use the rift with it. Learned a few more things which is always good. But when everyone spawns in one area, damn its hard to even do anything.

Then i walk of the ledge in that hospital building and " your are dead" Then i re spawn and go into a house a guy comes in behind me and sticks a pick axe through my skull. I said on the mic if he was for real?

So now ive made it to the Nth East fence line if the NWAF, gunshots everywhere :o I crept along it and saw two guys prone firing at one in the airfield itself, i got almost 20 mtrs away from them and could easily have taken them both out but i rolled off the my left and made my way further around the line heading nth :thumbsup: . So far ive survived three days out on my own, going from the wrecked ship , through Krasno, Black mountain, devils mountain and onto the airfield. Now i have no want to go in there, the KOS rubbish that goes on is pretty ridiculous. So its been ok, im kind of doing a survival test to see how long my own wits can get me around the map on my own. Ive been finding so many guns , most without any ammo >:( . I have my fire axe binoculars( they are great) and numerous other things. So it's been pretty good, tense at times but in enjoying surviving. :D

Today was probably the best day ive had so far, been almost a week agao i got the game. Ended up fully energized , and a loaded gun for a change to protect myself from any attacks, Explored the ship wreck and headed inland. :D

I just started as well , maybe a few of us can get together. I had hypothermia, but i was also hydrated and stuffed so i just " run forest run" and i healed, i ran circles in the factries i found, when it stopped raining i ran for miles, Then died later on cos i forgot bandages and zombies did a surprise invisible attack , i even out ran some knuckle head in a truck though the frest that tried to run me over

Hi everyone Well i bought the game two days back and wow what a learning curve. First spawn i was near a beach ( didnt know where) and ran to a nearby house. I figured out the running etc after years of console games. Although i couldnt figure how to open a door and next thing you know i hear a shot and see a bullet mark in the door, :o , i logged out and looked up how to do some stuff, wow that was kind of intense i thought. Since then ive been on for a total of about 5 hours. Ive found a mosin ( couldnt pick it up though) and a heap of other guns in a few building as well as heaps of food and other supplies, then lost it when i put my back pack down, cos i didnt realise i could scroll the inventory, ran of and oops and couldtnt remember where i put it, lmao Those zombies can see you from miles off, wow . Ive learnt a lot so far and enjoyed it even though its an unfinnished work :thumbsup:

Running through some large town, no idea what it was but it had docks and rail yards. I got a couple of things, jacket , hunting pants, 28item back pack, shotgun ( no ammo) and headed into the main section of town where i heard that horrid noise of a zombie, it must have seen me from ten miles away. I sprinted and got into a door way that was open so i slammed it shut. The zombie was clitching through the doorway a bit then i hard a bullet hit. Cripes , was he shooting at me or the zombie? i figured it was the zombie. I took off upstairs and looked out the window. There was a player fighting the zombies with a yellow back pack, shooting at them. He went inside and two more ran in after him but there were no more shots that i heard. I droped and waited ,then after a minute or two i went down to take a look and saw two dead zombies. I thought because id heard no other shots they had taken him out, i was ready for them , hell i had a can of beans in my hand. Hmm i thought, no sign of him, he went out the back door. So rather than temp fate i went the other way

Ive often thought " where the hell is the gear" but i then roll on to see how far i can go, i have starved at times ive found nothing, buts that all good.

Remembered what was said " anything in your hands is a weapon" Well 4 Hits on a zombie and its down with a can of beens in your hand without any injury to youreself. It was 5 minutes after that i saw another player with a gun come in a door after me, WHOAAAAA, i took of like a cut cat into the bush, he and i didnt even get a chance to see if we were freindly, hahahaha, damn that was funny.

Hi all, thought id put up a bit about myself so here goes. First of my real name is Peter and im in Aus. Yep ive played roughly 9 hrs so far( thats what steam says) and to be honest ive been looking for something like this for a year or two, i have no idea whay i didnt find it before , but there you go. I was heavily into the Asassins Creed multiplayer series on 360 and pretty much ended up only playing simple death match,I did play alot of Man Hunt in teams though it was basically stealth and planning and i fair bit of skill to be able to compete well. Man hunt was more run and gun, although team work via mics made that part of the game work really well .At one stage in the top 200 in ranking which i thought was rather good. Was in a clan called The Reckoners for 3 years and they are a great bunch of people, ( although lost a sense of humor somehwere B) ). But then they changed the mechanics of the game and i lost all interest during AC4. Have been looking for something since then that sparked my interest and my imagination. I did have about 100 videos on youtube of AC but when i lost interest, (more cracked it) i deleted them and walked away from the series. The username PlasticAssasin8, well thats from xbox and ive kinda kept it. Hopefully i end up playing with a group at some stage, that should be good. My opinion of the game? Well being new and only seeing some of what it has i really dont think they have to change a hell of alot for me to become obsessed. The grungy feel of it is good, yes there are glitches but jeez, its server based , what can you expect Anyway Cheers

Its was good to be honest as it caused me to sneak around another way and keep more of a lookout, but yeah superrman eyes to say the least. But then one time first i knew was the awful sound of decay on me, oh crap lmao. Although i do think they need to supply a kind of respawn ration pack

Its been good. Im more figuring out what is where. Like jackets near boats on the coast and pack packs in certain buildings. Found a mosin and sks in the same room earlier but no ammo. Havent found a fire axe yet, i guess thats the one thing i really want to get but its good learning things each time
