    that is cool, I tend to have very bad luck with loot at helo sites. Well really all sites ;>{, lol.

    Logged on a bit instead of bed. Ran from the ship north of Solnichniy to the train on northern outskirts. Never overheated but got continuous you are warming up messages(still drenched). Met a friendly who didn't want my Trumpet, but windows is still screwing my mic and couldn't talk. Saw 2 infected wandering the field by the deer stand up there. got cold and started shaking observing their shambling. Ran down shoreline to end of docks and swam back to S. end of town. Saw a body just standing on the bottom,about 15 ft. down. Never moved. Got out of the water, nice and cold and ran a bit to warm back up and didn't get cold again when I slowed to walk. Still wet though. Saw 3 more infected in the S. end of Solnichniy, Didn't check any for aggro as I only have my sharp rock for whacking and preferred to stay alive just a bit longer before I found out how fast I can die. Water from the ponds there(not sick yet) and the apple orchard gave me 4 apples from roughly 20 trees. RNG not my friend this early morning :>/. Will try beating z's with my stick when I get to login again. good day to all and happy zombie rambling, 6:30 am here and must go to bed.

    I went swimming then ran about 10 min. realtime a bit N of Solnichniy (soaked clothes wouldn't dry) in just pants but never warmed up. Should have gotten cold when I began walking with those set clothes and that didn't happen either. I asked about the chat because I was sure if it was normal now or if I should report a small bug.

    oh you of severely limited comprehension, as I mentioned my game issue was whether or not (typed) chat was currently working. OT: By the way, I have lived for almost 66 yrs. in Tx in several cities while working as a roofer, framer, warehouse mgr., database programmer, field line digger, security guard, and even file clerk to have enough money to continue as a professional musician(often with 2 other jobs besides my work with bands) Conclusion: you shouldn't spray your liquid defecation around on a subject you so obviously know nothing of. I would also strongly suggest that the essence of testicular lack and/or trolling is ignoring the essence of a post(game problem, not commiserating with previous poster) and being willing to jump on minor BS while essentially anonymous on the net. Please, O dubious sir, GTFO or quit acting like a yellow bellied serpent.

    I feel your pain in manifold ways. I live in Texas, home of many crotch fungi. Actual game issue: Does chat work? My mic/sound setup does not work. Just got shot in skalitsky after announcing self in chat. No threat, carrying a red raincoat in my hands for hi viz - obviously no threat. Low life whack job shot me without giving me a chance to try chat again or put down raincoat and raise hands. another barely suppressed sociopath just waiting for a bad day to go off on neighbors, I suspect. on south central US 1pp

    happy to see the exp servers back up. Just had about 10 -15 min. online before 'no messages' started up. went thru 5 houses & about 6 sheds/garages and 3 industrial. Small sample but it seemed like the loot/heat map issue had been resolved, although I'm pretty sure someone had swept thru before. Met a great friendly(thanks again for the 22 ammo) dodging one of those 'invisible' zeds just before the server lost touch. Looking forward to the patch, while smiling at the vagaries of fate online.     This is the closest to an official(not at all) expo of the infection I found in the forums. Has there been anymore explanation of the infection? I know neither vision or smell make any reality-based sense with serious disruption of circulatory or nervous system/brain function, but I am more in favor of scent. Of course, then you need a good wind system that allows the player to be clearly aware of wind direction and speed. As for sight loss, I can speak to loss of function due to cataracts. The breakdown was not as clearly defined as you wish it, but the 1st thing was everything got fuzzier. I could see colors fine in good light, but as light got dimmer color perception definitely went before shape perception. Now if the infection predisposes humans to clotting then a clot could effectively blind immediately, but could also spontaneously dissolve at some point. Obviously, I could dig up data to rationalize the way I personally would like many algorithms to function in this engrossing and wonderful game with no real anchor in our reality. Without much clearer biological backstory with regard to infection, it's all personal preference and unfounded assumptions on our part. You already know I'm for scent. Whatever happens I feel like dayz will be much fun. edit: forgot to mention even different types of cataract cause vision loss to progress differently - so huge variations in ways all the different dysfunctions/infections can cause us to lose vision

    Sounds like I had an average experience late yesterday/early morning here. "No message received" showed up by the time 6 people were on server, occasionally with only 3. Had 2 zeds at once after me with with that slide desync &* when I looked over my shoulder and saw them right on me, keeping up, almost had to change pants. I had 1 instance of desync with 'invisible' zombie(was a room and a hall way from me). Also had 1 desync dive oif deathly despair thru the roof of apts. in Cherno. I''ve been joyously surprised several times by the quieter zombies now. Gotta stay even more on my toes - love it! So far(maybe 3 hrs. total) haven't met any of the nearly blind zombies, if i am running upright in their sight line they see me a very good distance away. If crouched I have had to stay about 3-4 house lots(50-60 m.?) away if running in their cone of sight. If slow/walk, I have walked in sight cone as close as 20-30 m. and ahve been ignored. However, I have also been crouched completely still next to a bush, watching zed behavior; when one went aggro when it got a bit less than 2 house lots from me. I don't know if there is supposed to be variable sensitivities for the zeds or it is a bit of a bug, but I rather like that randomness - keeps me sharp. Sir Bleedout, when our characters get sick we lose color vision, why wouldn't zombies have the some problems if we have similar original biologies?
