Was about to order this but sadly no timezone changing :( You can only choose it once and that's it. See I have a weird playing time sometimes and would like to change it from time to time. I'm sure other's would also enjoy this.

Hi, I'm thinking of hosting a server (or getting a server hosted, that is) and was wondering about a few things. A couple buddies and I play every now and then. We love the game with people but would it be possible if we locked the server for a few hours or so to play and mess around? (Fix up a car, a heli, find other stuff we haven't already? You know, experience more as some hoarders usually run all the stuff up the hills...) Not for ever, but just a few hours every now and then? How long does it last for our server to appear with the rest on the Six Launcher after the set up? What Admin powers do you get when you run the server? (As in what settings can you control and what not?) Would I be able to clear things saved up outside the map area and in the hills in case people are camping up there? Thanks in advance! :)

Wow way to accuse me of something I was against from the start of my thread... Sorry I was just interested in trying to fix up a car one day in the game.... jeez... I guess wanting to experience more of the game is bad? So much negativity in this forum... even from the staff itself. Wow.

Wow that sucks... If the server is blacklisted, does that mean you can no longer run DayZ? Or just from the Six Launcher? Was hoping to just have a play through with just my buddies and I for once. What I was hoping for was maybe out of 24 hours online, at the most 4 hours would be locked. I mean if I'm paying for the server... cant I play and enjoy my time every now and then?

I'm wanting to join a group also but my time for play is a bit limited at times :( I'm 24 years old, have a mic and also Skype I guess if needed. MST Time Zone. Currently play after work mainly and that's around 11:30 PM. I've got Fridays and Saturdays off so that's my main "Playing" days. I might be able to do morning runs as well if I'm not so tired :p PM me if I can join or not. I understand if my schedule might get too much in the way of the groups playing time, but that's all I've got right now :(

Very nice attention to detail. Good job, hopefully the Devs let this go into the official release as it does add a bit more detail to the zombies by making them look grungy and like they've been devouring loads of people.

Sounds good but the server hopping would happen all too often right before the missile hits. Doubt it's going to change.

Alright well I know this isn't that great of an idea but it just popped into my head while reading about all the player vs player killing going on. Karma lol What if after you kill so many people zombies start coming towards you more? Say you kill 1 person, nothing major happens. But say you kill 10 players, zombies start to slowly gravitate to you. Kill 20, 30, 40, etc. players and more gravitate to you. Creating a sort of "Bad Karma" end to you type of thing? Bad idea? Horrible? Ok?

Nice. Hopefully one of the devs see's this and maybe thinks about it. Might improve with all the player killing and camping going on.

They don't really notice you more than before it's just more gravitate to you. As in more zombies just happen to slowly walk over to your area than before when they would wander around in a different direction. They don't know you're there and they don't have a heightened sense of sight towards you, they just happen to wander over more. The heartbeat thing for this might be able to work in a sense as I know if you make small amounts of noise the zombies do kind of gravitate to the noise somewhat. That could be a work around for this?

Yeah the user in the video wasn't using Global, but Group Chat and in that chat setting no one can hear you. He couldn't hear you saying you were going to save him. Maybe the guy being chased wanted the zombies after him as he was trying to do something and was using Group Chat as well as the player making the video? Thus no one could hear each other and leading to this. But yeah, switch to Direct Communication so people can hear you.

Well I was wondering if there was a way to hear from only the headset for voices of players in game instead of it coming through the TV speakers. How would I go about this? Currently I have my PC connected to my TV and I have my headset on and people can hear me, but when they talk I want to be able to hear them from the headset itself and not the TV.

Well I've taken some damage and I was wondering if there was a way to heal without getting a blood transfusion from another player. Could I possibly just rest, eat, and drink water?

Trading? Most people just kill you and take your stuff xD LOL

Doubt this is a possibility but I thought it would be sweet if there were a handful of radios scattered around the map. Maybe just 3 or so and with these radios you can "Global Chat" to the others with the radios. Kind of like those scenes where there's only a few left with a radio saying they will be broadcasting every day at noon blah blah blah, looking for survivors and what not. I mean, sure it can be a friendly but you never know in these situations.

What I hate is you have to throw them while standing still :/........

Just wondering if anyone that plays this game as a regular survivor (friendly) is from around the state of Idaho?
