I have a plate carrier "complete set" if you want it. Its either worn or pristine, IDK for sure. I haven't played on public servers in a long time and its just sitting in my camp. We dont need to meet and we dont need to trade just PM me and I'll tell you where you can find it. Of course thats all pending on what Mookie decides. Ive traded with him in the past and hes a stand up guy so I wont step on his deal.

BTW its called "Auditory Exclusion" if your interested in looking it up. Tunneling In is just a slang term. My apologies.

Guns are loud, true, but there wouldn’t be any need for ringing in the ears while playing DayZ. In a life or death situation your auditory senses almost shut down to focus you mind and other senses on the task at hand. If you know any cops ask them and they will collaborate what I’m saying. I believe the condition is called “Tunneling In” where you hyper focus on your target and the rest of the world gets shut out. There’s a lot of information about it on the net where cops and soldiers have this experience. I am an avid hunter and after killing poor defenseless animals I’ve never experienced a ringing in the ears but if I go to a firing range I must wear earplugs or my ears will ring for an hour. Good call not adding it to the game.

Not removed. I see them every now and again in many civilian buildings. I most recently saw one in the apartments at Novo. It had a damaged PU scope attached. I think I've seen them in the old "gun house" (single room log cabin) more often than any where else.

Exact same thing just happen to me. Yesterday the whitelisted server I've been playing on went tits up. My whole camp like ashes in the wind. I was on a personal mission to collect every item in game and in pristine condition, which is not an easy task on a private server. Countless hours wasted and now its back to public servers and offensive maneuvers. It was nice to run around Chernarus meeting other people without the worry of getting shot on site. I'm now in the process of submitting new applications to other whitlisted servers. Hope I find a good one.

Ive managed to find four flares. PM me with the area you last logged and I be sure to get them as close to you as I can.
-
Did he say it was implemented or were they considering it? If this supposed to be in affect my barrels will despawn in eight days without interaction. I have several barrels that I've not visited in a few days. I'll avoid them and get back to you at the end of the week.

After reading your last post I thought I’d give you a hand, after all I see them all the time. Well now that I’m looking for them I can’t find ‘em. Before I engaged in this scavenger hunt I couldn’t swing a dead cat without a flare flying out of his ass, now I’ve got a better chance of finding a gold platted SVD slung a crossed a naked mermaid’s back. Its damn weird how that happens isn’t it? I’ll keep hope alive and let you know if I strike oil.

That’s an interesting thought. Can you provide a link to where you read that? I’d like to do a little follow up to determine credibility otherwise it just sounds like scuttle. I did check my experimental barrels using only the vicinity screen and under this guise all my barrels should still remain (barring no other player interaction), but around the 45 day mark they started disappearing. Another note that I forgot to add is that some of these barrels were set next to other barrels which I did interact with and remained. As I said in my earlier posts, nothing is a guarantee. I’m only posting the results of what I tested but since I don’t want to bring a negative perspective without first engage the idea, after reading your post I took a backpack and a waterproof bag and set them down to test. Under the assumption of what you read I kept checking the items only using the vicinity screen. If barrels and tents re-set through this manor, I can only assume backpacks would as well. They did not. It could be possible that the vicinity screen resets barrels but it would take another 45 days to test this theory which I’m not willing to do under this patch. I’m sure the community would welcome your results if you were to choose and run an experiment for science. Thanks in advance.

Barrel update Ive posted a few comments on barrel persistence and I think its obvious by now that barrels remain persistent for around 45 days. I’ve had some last longer than others, in fact, I had one barrel that persisted for 52 days. The problem I’m having is consistency. There’s no real way of knowing if the barrels have remained untouched and no possible way of securing them. I have some pretty amazing hiding spots and don’t believe they were compromised but because traps do not remain persistent, it’s all just speculation. I’m not going to monitor these any longer because I don’t see what else can be gained and besides, at any time the devs could drop a hot fix that reverts it all back to the 8 day timer (I hope this never happens). I will say that barrels I’ve interacted with around the 45 day mark have remained persistence adding credibility to the reset factor and I will continue to monitor these for a few more weeks. I did not pick up the barrels, just added an item to the inventory. My two yellow cases have remained persistence for 37 days so far and my 2 ammo cans have 32 days and counting. When 61 comes around, if it’s not posted in the tracker, I’ll do it all again. I’ve discovered some new really great hiding places but as I said before there’s no guarantee. You just can’t prevent lucky players from stumbling across your stash and you can’t combat EPS hacks.

High Capacity Vest not spawning in 0.60

Yes, the new barracks on the SW area of the airfield is lousy with them. -
Until now.

Mookie, I've have an ammo can stashed very close to Grishino with four FAL mags in it. Whatever ammo they have in them is what was there when I looted the heli crashes. I never adapted to using the FAL so where they sit is where they will stay unless you want them. PM me if you want directions.

I have reliably found the glock spawning in the green guard shack at the entrance of the long barn compound in Novy Sobor. The last 4 or 5 times I went by there I've seen them and CR75's. Sometimes multiple of each and sometimes with suppressors.

Happened to me again last night. "Hypothermic" appeared in my message center and in response I immediately cracked open two heat packs and began sprinting back towards my camp. I was about 15 minutes away and fell over dead in ten. Whats interesting is that while I was running I started getting the "you are warming up" messages. Apparently getting hypothermia is like getting bit by a Tiipan. Has anyone got a screen shot of the elusive Chernarus Hypothermian Taipan snake? This dangerous fuckin' creature is responsible for the deaths of three of my minions.

I logged in today and the two barrels I stashed on Jun 20th are now gone. I checked them last night before logging off so they vanished within the last 12 hours. I don’t know if they were found or despawned but they lasted 47 days. The next three barrels are up to despawn somewhere around the 9th. I will interact with one of them before then to see how it affects the despawn timer. Ammo boxes and Yellow cases seem to have a good long persistence life. I have two ammo boxes with 21 days and two yellow cases with 26 days. Info u, the six slot “water proof bags” do not seem to last thru server restarts. I placed two yesterday and they were gone today.
-
Do you have any idea where they spawn? I'll keep and eye out.
-
This has happened to me a couple times in the last couple weeks. No warning, just "you are Hypothermic", then dead within 5 minutes. The second time it happened as soon as I saw Hypothermic I cracked a heat pack and build a fire. Didn't help. Fell over dead into the fire. This game be exhibiting symptoms of illin'.

Not so sure about that. Although the R key could be the problem, I have noticed a single round in my inventory after logging in with my FNX in hand and I didnt hit the R key. I think during the logon animation where your character cycles the action, if you have the gun in hand, it kicks out the round thats in the chamber. It doesn't happen every time but it happens quite often. If you suddenly find there are many single rounds in your inventory try checking each time you hop servers. They might just be adding up. If its something else, IDK.

Barrel Persistence Update. For those who might be interested, here’s an updated on my barrel experiment. These are barrels I’ve stashed on separate servers and frequently check without any physical interaction. 2 Barrels stashed on the 20th June (43 days) 3 Barrels stashed on the 25th Jun (38 days) 3 Barrels stashed on the 29th Jun (34 days) 3 Barrels stashed on the 1st July (32 days) -ADDED- 2 Yellow protective cases 12 July (20 days) 2 Ammo boxes on 22 July (11 days) 2 Ammo boxes on 17 July (16 days) All have been persistent and I'm guessing on the 4th the first two barrels should despawn. I'll let you know.

This was one of the first zombies I found after a 2 year break from the game. I don't think it was working as intended.

LOL out loud!! -
Here's my outfits. Not that impressive but its a big change from my typical camo gear. Surprisingly good reactions in-game. Fun to clown around now and then. http://imgur.com/a/dmKCO

You think cars are bullet magnets, wait till these things begin flying around. Personally I cant wait to shoot down helicopters. I think once you get the right weapon and figure out how to lead them, it should be a crap shoot. I'm even going to set up decoy camps with empty tents to bring them in. All that work getting it up in the air just to loose it so quickly, ha. I'm excited just imagining that first helo kill. Parachutes deployed and then the ground hunt begins. That ought to bring some life back into the game.

Never mind, I found a pair.
