    Craftable Dovetail Mount and Scopes/Sights

Haven't played the game in like 3 months, but I caught word that somewhat far in the future, a building might be added that would house a gunsmithing sort of machine? If this is the case, I think it would be cool to be able to craft a dovetail mount and scopes/sights so you could add real customization to your gun. I know this would probably never happen, but it's a cool idea for the future. What do you guys think about possible craftable accessories for your gun down the road in development? Personally, I think it would be pretty cool.

    SKS ammo in 0.55?

Found 6 boxes just the other day after about 4 hours of searching. Traded it away for 300 magnum rounds but it's out there. I agree that it is pretty rare now, not sure why because it used to be found everywhere. I'll PM you if I find any more. Meanwhile, happy looting!

    Do DayZ and Teamwork mix?

I really only play as a lone wolf and that's how I've always been since the mod. Honestly it's much safer if you're not dependiing on another player for survival. If I find a gun, all the ammo I find is mine. Everything I kill is mine. If I kill a person and they have highly desirable items, I don't need to argue with smeone else over who should get them. I find my own food, kill my own wildlife, loot the way I want to, and generally do what I want to do and what I feel will help me survive. For everyone saying that the lone wolf play style is oerpowered, remember that in a real zombie apocalypse, while safety may be in numbers, you are infinite times more stealthy on your own. Also, you don't run into trust issues and weaker members of a group if you're alone. You can sneak past zombies much easier, move much faster, and generally survive longer on your own, as long as you are smart in the way you move, kill, and loot. Also you don't need to share food, drink, clothes, and ammunition with anyone else. Everything you find is yours to use for your own benefit. The only reason you should be in a group is if you can trust them with something as monumental as your life. If you can't, then a group isn't the best idea. And remember that if the group is hard-pressed for food, you are at risk of getting eaten and canabalized.

    Lootsplosions Still A Thing?

I found a few on smaller scales in various areas of the map yesterday. Sort of sad seeing the possibility to get from nothing to fully geared in seconds present now. So much for scavenging for gear. Not that I'm mad, but it's just a bit depressing seeing how easy it is for people to get PVP gear now.
  5. So Apparently Zeds Can Now Clip Through Doors Was running from about 6 or 7 at west fire station in elektro and I tries to get away but they just followed me into the fire station, but just walked straight through the closed doors. I made it out alive but god damn Bohemia... If you're gonna release updates and hotfixed at least make sure that they don't screw up the game further. Yes this is an alpha, but you've been working on the game for long enough to know to test things before they're released. Now, I could be wrong andd it could be just me, but I would like to see because absolutely nothing was wrong on my end, so I don't know what it could be. I'm not mad, just frustrated yet again at this game. Happy Gaming!

    The Master Trap

So today I found 2 bear traps in the Novo clock tower and a landmine at northeast and decided to have a little bit of fun. I travelled to northwest and attracted the attention of some VERY well geared players. Beforehand, I had placed my masterful trap right inside the fire station back door. I legged it across the open airfield, taking 2 shots but remaining alright, booked it through the fire station front door and up the stairs. The other players, thinking I went out the open back door, ran right out and KA-BLEWEY! A pile of free, but mostly ruined, gear laid there for me. If you have any funny or amuzing stories about the bear trap or landmine, please share. I personally find it hilarious how dumb some people are, but their stupidity is our enjoyment!
  7. So I was a wee little fresh spawn earlier today (died from an unknown reason probably accidental fall) but a zombie snuck up behind me, jumped at me, and with all its might, smacked me and insta-KOed me. Of course, I had just a t shirt on and regular jeans, nothing fancy, but I had no idea what happened. I then laughed my ass off because I realized that a zombie just one hitted me, all while remembering that this is DayZ and wierd shit happens. Any thoughts or facts on this? I feel like I just got unlucky and somehow was a victim of a random bug, but if you have any info, please share. I find it funny, but geared players might not so if you have anything, I kinda wanna know. Thanks!

For Everyone Complaining About The Loot........

I agree, hunting and fishing should be more viable ways of getting food and farming should take a few hours for realism. Once base building is implemented, farming will be very viable though because you can put a plot right in your base and, given no one finds it, you can come back every few hours to find fresh food. Also, I would like to see more animals in the game because at the moment, it is so rare to find anything that it's not worth going out of your way to find an animal when you could use your time more efficiently foraging for food and supplies.

For Everyone Complaining About The Loot........

My suggestion to people who don't know the map is to use an app like izurvive or DayZ DB because they have very detailed maps and you can easily find your way around even with little knowledge of the map.

For Everyone Complaining About The Loot........

I should have phrased that differently. We found the trucks first because we were all at different parts of the map. But once we found the trucks, looking was 500% easier, as we could get to known locations extremely fast. It took maybe 2 hours and 15 mins to do a full sweep of the locations known to spawn the most loot and ended up meeting at the fire station at northwest to get a family pic.

For Everyone Complaining About The Loot........

And they were from different sessions FYI. The devs didn't fuck it up, they made it so that lazy players like you actually need to do something for once. So that you have to be tactical and considerate of more factors than simply getting killed by other players. Stop being lazy and work for your loot. It not only feels so much harder to find good loot now, but also is much more rewarding, as the better the loot you have, the longer you are guaranteed to survive. The key word is LAZY and that's exactly what you are. If you weren't LAZY you wouldn't be complaining now, so move along scrub.

For Everyone Complaining About The Loot........

The thing is that the coastal cities don't have farming plots except for Svet and it would have no difference if you found seeds on the coast or not because you would have to go inland to farm. Unless, of course, you find a shovel/hoe then you can farm anywhere but from what I see it's hard to find even those. I think its good that the devs are forcing players to either continue being lazy and become bored or actually work for their loot and make the effort to venture inland to find better resources.
  13. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198149395021/screenshots/ Maybe 2 hours 2.5 max with 5 people. Yes that is 4 V3S trucks (2 cargo, 2 normal) As you can see it's not that hard to find loot if you are persistent and know where to look. Stop following your normal loot runs, you'll find little to none. Know where to look and stop being lazy. Just check out all the screenshots I got the other day. You can complain after you get the gear we found and no it wasn't luck.

    Derringer God Gun?

Was playing last night and found a fresh spawn on his way t Elektro. Decided to give him an improvised backpack and a bit of food. Next thing I know, his fists are up, but what he's holding wasn't brass knuckles... I then met a very quick end and laughed my ass off at just how sneaky the derringer really is. You don't even need a backpack, just pants to roll up on a geared guy and drop him without him even noticing.
