Suggestions for the DayZ standalone - thinking outside of the limitations of an Arma 2 mod.

Heres a suggestion that problably is impossible but...hey, could be fun to imagine atleast. Randomized Map. 1. Each server have a random map that will re-generate once a week/month 2. Only fixed locations are gps coordinates of saved tents/veichles and player (restricted so they dont end up in ocean but on beach if bad luck) 3. Key locations (airfields, military camps, main cities etc.) have a minimum distance (ie:1000m) from same kind and another distance (500-1000) from another kind of key location, but: Example 1: Small villages/towns: can in theory end up surrounding a key location making it HUGE/Be completely scattered as it is now. Example 2: The double coastline for spawning could in theory become two oposing coastlines (each side of map)/ or turn into one small coastline. Example 3: Deer stand created in middle of forrest where it really does not belong...... Example 4: Elektro ends up on highest mountain on the whole map/ or deepest valley... Ignore, laugh or discuss, up to ya`ll, have fun. -

So playing for first time in 4 weeks (vacation) I stumpled upon something very annoying. 1. Came into NWAF (nighttime) from south, and I could not look towards fire station due to graph bugs, no worries, DONT look at it was interesting... Reaching firestation Iit was the same towards barracks. Graph-issues was gone when sun was up) (think something like this was allready reported) 2.Unknown if error or implemented anti-server-hopper. But I logged at NWAF for the night, and in morning I came back, due to kids poop habit I had to log a few minutes later again, 5-10 minutes later I came back, ran around for awhile and logged out again southwest of barracks. An hour later I log in and find myself in Otmel, as a new-spawned BUT with all my gear, I dont really mind exept I was hunting a DMR to replace my ACOG... BTW.. bandit system Implemented again? (yay) -

People are way too hard and short sighted! (to op, lesson learned? Good for you, have fun on next account, obey rules) The rest of ya... Correct me if im wrong (long term benefits of forgiving hackers) A game/server that gets hacked got weaknesses right? Statements are for real hackers not paid services.. 1.Former (cooperative) hacker should be able to aid in security breaches. 2. A hacker gettin killed like you prolly gets pissed on the other hacker... Prolly are other benefits, but my lunchbreak is over. And on side note before flames Statements are imaginary, seeing shit on bright side, and my pc skills are install a game and google readme/tutorial, Simply put, got no programming skill, purily fictional thought.

Were thinking about something similar, but not spawning per se, rather a huge group wandering perhaps along main road from NW Airfield down and through cherno, along coast, through Electro and despawns at northern last player spawnpoint or walk back to nw airfield through woods, clearing any cars, tents.... Player :) Maybe also having super senses they had in... Eh.. well.. When los was based on eyes, (360' los) and maybe if aggroed, the revert to the old zeds that hunts you til you starve to death, or enter a building (unshakeable).

Real zombies are not capable of running at 45mph and zigzag. Cmon. I just love these sort of statements :D :D :D But I do agree they should nerf the speed of zeds to same as players, as is now they run way faster (hence zig-zag like nuts) until they catch up to us, would make more logic if same speed/slightly slower when we loose them so easy now. Keeps me thinkin nostalgic about "old" days when you were dead once aggro was cought.

Since abillity to actully loose zeds came, my only reason not to shoot is due to other players and I want time to loot, fear of zeds themselfs are gone.

Im currently sitting with this http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Multimedia_Entertainment/N71Ja/#specifications since a few years back. and settings on low/disabled. Currently trying to outweight if stationary will be better thou for future (arma3), laptop is so much easier for lan-parties/vacations, but stationary WAY better/cheaper in long run.

This is something I dream of as well, either this or zeds roaming into woods from various sorts of towns/villages (but that is highly unlikely to be implememted). -

If you have 2-4 canteens of water, matches, axe and knife, you can survive in wilderness, only exposing yourself when getting water or changing forest--> Stick to forests west of Zelenogorsk along the borders to the far north and north- east, that way you can hunt tents, hidden cars and other hunters. Upside: Great chance for gear stealing, long survival. Downside: missing most of map, hardly see other players -
Been having this issue with most of my native servers as well, did find a uk server yesterday sticking to rules thou :)
