For all the headshot fans: This is not Counter Strike. And getting headshots is so much about luck when the random bullet spread on handguns is so massive. Hell, cant even hit a tree 10 meters away with a makarov when aiming directly at the center of the tree. And add the nice little desync issues we have had like forever in the mod.

The new gun damage nerf is absolutely stupid. Before the patch it took 5 pellet rounds from a shotgun to kill a player at close range. Now it will take an entire clip? Welcome to Battlefield. Let us have a blood regeneration when not taking damage after 16 seconds. What are the ARMA2 devs thinking? Only change Im happy with is the Lee Enfield, that thing was ridiculous. -
1.7.2.4: -After waiting, rebooting and waiting in loading screen... -Spawned on a coast... -Tried to shoot zombies with my 4-shot-kill M1911... -Zombies dont hear gunshots from any distance now.

Not the latest DayZ patch, but the ARMA2 version 1.62. It has had an impact on DayZ. Revolver&M1911 nerfed to ground, zombies acting strange, I just lost all my 30Rnd. AK ammunition from my inventory...(first time I've ever lost anything to a bug!) But when have zombies started talking to themselves and making ''human sounds''? Never heard that before. I shoot zombies and they yell like ''OUCH! OOF'' and just a few moments ago I shot like 4 zombies in a row to the chest and they all said ''Ahh, fuck that hurt!'' Now thats kind of creepy. So, what else is new thats not in the patch notes? Losing mags usual?

For your information, my friend, ARMA2 is not in alpha. Anyway, it could've been the rendering issue, or jut someone who has their AToC disabled. That makes you able to see through almost every vegetation which, in this game, is a wallhack equivalent exploit. The one to blame is the developers of ARMA2, since this works in the original game too. -
I sure hope they're properly implemented. I would not want every survivor to own 10 dogs, all shaky'n'laggy, teleporting and warping around you, having a 1.7.1.1 superzombie vision and tracking you down from the other side of Cherno by sniffing your footprints. On the other hand, I dont even know what they're good for and why are they being implemented to the game.

ATOC=Disable. See everyone hiding beside every tree, bush, grass, whatever. No more hiding under a spruce. No more escaping to dense vegetation from bullets. Disable your ATOC and become the king of the forest today! The trees are much more thin, have lots of large holes in them, and you can raycast through them. The grass is much less dense, and its draw distance is lesser than 30 meters. why.jpg

Dont know what settings you're running on exactly, but my trees are made of glass. On the ''normal'' pre- 1.62 setting I couldnt see if someone was hiding under a spruce or behind a bush until Im VERY close, (melee range) now Im able to see them as long as they are in the line of sight, no matter the distance. In my opinion, this is kind of an exploit.

Are the ammo containers a rare spawn at helicopter crash sites? I've found 2 ammo containers in 2 different helicopters, both of them containing +70 STANAG mags.

I just noticed the makarov is inaccurate as hell. You shoot at a wall 15 meters away from you and the bullets all hit 2 meters around the iron sights. When did this happen? Just noticed it, cant even kill zeds 5m away without emptying a whole clip into them.

No, my character is pure. No pain. No blood loss. No exhaustion. No shock, nothing. And the bullet nearly always fires off the iron sight. -
I think Winchester WAS good before 1.7.1 patch. Now its very difficult to find ammo for it. Also its the loudest 'shotgun' in the game with an audible range of 125m. Its even louder than all of the assault rifles except AKM.

I noticed the zombies spawn way too fast and way too close. Cleared a big bunch of zombies around a heli crash site today. It took just 2 minutes of looting and ALL of the zombies spawned back at exactly same time in a 30 meters radius. Things got hot pretty fast there since I would never have expected that 15 zombies just pop under my nose all at the same time after just 2 minutes. -
1. M1911 -OHK on zeds. -Much ammo available. -Overall, nothing bad to mention about it. 2. PDW -Can fire all 9mm rounds so ammo is available, tho you wont get it from residental areas. -Silenced. 3. G17 -Flashlight.

No. Its not CoD, nor is it Battlefield. It works perfectly well with 40 people online in the whole map. Could be even bigger with the same amount of players if you ask me. There are those places where you can get shot in the head if you want. Try Chernogorsk, Elektrozavodsk or NW Airfield. Or all of the coastal line.

I use Six Updater and its a pile of garbage. Its slow, difficult to use and the user interface is horrible. I use it only to be able to start up Arma2 beta patch and DayZ both at the same time. Its easy to use if something DOES NOT go wrong on their side. But when something goes wrong (beta patch/battleye/incorrect dayz version/compatibility problems) you'll end up fixing a lot.

There is a lot of debating about the new aggro range of zombies introduced in the patch 1.7.2 and 1.7.2.3. What do you think about the new zombie aggro range? Not the zombie difficulty, only the aggro range. Wanted to create a poll just for me and other forum warriors to get a bigger picture of what people think about it. Keep it cool. Edit: Damn typos and the inability to remove them! Edit2: Last question fixed with a new answer. Edit3: A new option for Question 2.

Naw, not really. The zombies will spawn back until you're all out of ammo and then they eat you.
