My only problem with vehicles is that people who own a helicopter or those who play on low settings find your own vehicles too easily. On lowest settings you can just x-ray through trees to find all the tents and hidden vehicles with ease. And thats fucking annoying. A few days ago I hid my ATV in a place where no-one could ever look for. It wasnt visible to any direction in all the grass and trees. Still some helicopter group had stolen all the jerry cans from it the next day. What comes to clans, they are usually pretty stupid and hide their vehicles up in the north or just somewhere at the map border in the most obvious places.

I tried to destroy someones duplication factory yesterday with frag grenades. I stood atleast 30 meters away from the tents, aimed like 40 degrees down and held the mouse button for 2 seconds and the grenade flew like another 30 meters over the tent clusterfuck. I managed to destroy some tents with my second grenade while I aimed down even more and put some less throwing power in. The character seems to have strong arms and throws the grenades to the upper side of the screen. This game has the most difficult grenade tossing system I've seen so far. Not only it takes long but you're unable to move and uncertain where you're throwing at.

Change your clothing, equip a ghillie suit. At least it works for me, fucks up the humanity system and starts to regenerate it like crazy. Even over 2500 it continues to regen.

I always avoid throwing anything or keeping throwable items in the inventory. It takes very long time to throw anything, and combine that with servers that dont have crosshairs. You have no idea where you're about to throw your can/grenade.

The humanity system is broken atm. When 2.5 came out I started with 2790 humanity. Then I murdered someone and it dropped to -390. Then I killed another man and it got to -240 and I became a bandit, altho my murder/bandit kill count did not change. A minute later I became a survivor again and regenerated back to 2500. Then I got a ghillie suit and my humanity has been rising since. Its 4550 at the moment and rising all the time while Im sitting in a bush. Gonna be a saint by tomorrow.

Less food, less guns, less ammo. But instead more empty tin cans and soda cans. And why were the zombies nerfed? Now they run ridiculously slow. They run so slow that their new, improved aggro range doesnt matter at all because you lose them just by running behind a corner and the zombie isnt even halfway there... And looting is easy, either you: 1. Have too much ammo because its too common and you shoot the zombies. 2. Charge into the town and lose the zombies behind the first corner you see. 3. Have a friend make a zombie-choo-choo train all the way across the town while you loot. The zombies cant hit your friend once.

I dunno why but I've been finding abnormally many spawning vehicles today. Might be related to vehicles disappearing?

A bug because I dont want that my death causes joy to any of those fuckers.

Just to clarify, I wasnt complaining about anything and I stated Im ok with dying in DayZ, since the fear of death and all that shit is part of the game. And what comes to 'realism' in a 'real zombie apocalypse', I think people would band together pretty quickly since people are social creatures. And I dont think there would be many people who would blow your brains out just because its so fun. This has happened to me in-game while in group. But then again, its a game/mod and nothing can be done to these dickheads but to add a headscarf for them.

ATV is the best because its compact, fast, 2 seated, has good inventory and the color is pretty neutral. S1203 looks kind of funny and its colour may make it difficult to hide.

A few dickheads: The reason why we cant have good things. People are so afraid of player contacts and trust that they dont want to take chances. I have no problem with people shooting each other on sight but pretending friendly and shooting your head off a few minutes later just for the ''fun'' of it. Altho it would be nice if people didnt always shoot on sight. Tense confrontations and negotations are much more fun and interesting than just pulling the trigger.

I dont give a fuck if the PC version stays unaffected by the console version. But how many times have the companies lied to us?

DayZ is just going through the process every game does. Games get released, get glory and massive amounts of players. After that the amount of players decrease pretty rapidly and stabilize.

Bad luck then. My tents have never eaten my gear, instead they give me twice as much back. Dont put your stuff in the tents. I dont think anyone needs more stuff than they can carry. Edit: Maybe Im stupid or something, but have you ever thought that someone is stealing from your tents?

Im playing DayZ with a friend on TeamSpeak and both of our microphones work loud and clear. However, when we try to communicate in-game using Direct Communication, we cant hear each others voice. Not even other players can hear us. There are servers where only I can speak or servers where neither of us can speak, but still sometimes I hear other players talk. Tried at least 4 servers so far, we are both running the same DayZ version (1.7.2.4) and Arma beta patch version(Six Launcher latest). Also when we cant use Direct Chat, our characters mouths dont move when we press the talk key. So, in short: My and my friends microphones both work well but for some reason we cant talk into the Direct Communication or any other channel ingame. Both have same DayZ and Arma versions. Whats the matter?

I like travelling around places. I dont want to have tension all the time and if travelling was faster, then you would get geared up way too fast and run out of fun. The game would become too easy if getting loot and food was faster and easier.

No if the duping wont get fixed. If it gets fixed, then yes! Weapons grow in the trees at the moment and everyone has an access to endless streams of AS50's and huge piles of ammo just by duplicating it. Dont get attached to your gear. And I bet most of the players gear isnt 'legit'.

Dont forget that most console games assist you with your aim so you dont need to do it all yourself. Anyways, the original post is full of truth. Tho my biggest gripe is not the power of the consoles but the controls. Controls on the PC games get simplified too because controllers dont have enough buttons to do many kind of actions. The controls are either limited or there are many actions bound to one key which is absolutely horrible. Take the newest Battlefield games for example: People on rush mode tend to die alot at the M-COM station and when you try to defuse the M-COM charge you end up picking up dead players' weapon kits from the floor all day. Or Mass Effect 2/3 where half of the games actions are bound to spacebar.

The game itself is really easy at the moment. No problems finding a gun unarmed, finding food&water, shooting zombies and surviving from other players. The only ones the game is too hard for are the humane players. Those who dont want to kill on sight and want to help others will die the most.

No, they should not. The game becomes very boring as soon as you find an NVG and runloot every town at night. The item inflation will add to the amount of NVGs too. Night servers are good for looting since zombies cant see you and there are not many players, but at the expense of darkness and the need to use chemlights/flashlights.

It would be good, if duping ever gets fixed. A huge weapon inflation going on at the moment.
