Apparently today DayZ works really bad with AMD CPUs, if you will upgrade to 64bit system you will probably see performance improvement, but game will not magically run flawless.

As I said, i have 64bit system, all 8Gbs work just fine. All what i wanted to say, DayZ is not optimised properly, I will not switch to intel anytime soon, DayZ is not worth investing so much money. Of cource 32bit system limits you, but DayZ requires at least 2 gigs of ram and 32bit system but today even on minimal settings you will not see acceptable framerate. I am pretty sure devs are aware of performance issues and they will hopefully provide better experience in future. Aaaaand i enjoy poking them on this forum for their "2015 roadmap".

Right, cuz 64 bit system will give you good performance. Of cource. I have 64 bit W8.1, AMD FX8350, 8Gb RAM, GTX750Ti. Outside of cities I have 40-50 fps, in Cherno or Elektro 15-20 and during fight same framerate. If you will take a look at official system requirements, Win7 Sp1 is a minimal requirement for the OS, bughemia doesnt require players to have 64bit systems. By the way dayz engine utilizes only one core even if you have 8 cores processor. There is no such thing in dayz like optimization.

I agree with OP, devs care more about nonsence like gardening rather than working on important stuff. DayZ SA is a bad example of early access because devs do not care about community. I belive since release peolpe asked for better fps, zombies and transoprt, but devs responded with "go plant some tomatoes"...

Once upon a time I have spawned somewhere near Industrial site east coast. First up of course i needed warm clothes and food. All I found was damaged coat and ruined potato. Nevermind I ran into woods, to find some other location with loot, three villages later I realized that hunger will kill me in 10-15 minutes. I found a firestation in some town, walked in and found gas can and hammer. Nice. Wanted to take a look from the top of the tower. Noticed grocery store nearby, wanted to go there. Started to go down, zombie found me. Zombie knocked me out, when i woke up, zombie was dead and i was naked. Noticed another player looking for berries in bushes or something. I wanted to crawl away from him and 15 meters away from him server synced, he stood above me with axe, broke my legs and knocked me out again. Two minutes later i woke up again noboody was around, i was bleeding. Nice. Not sure what killed me bleeding or hunger.

DayZ will not be the best game ever made for sure, it just doesnt have that imaginary potential OP talk about. Devs ignore most valuable negative feedback such as unplayable framerate, teleporting way too hard to kill zombies, ridiculous stuff like ladders that kill you, run into truck -> triggered physics -> truck hits you and you are dead. Devs do not care what peolpe who PAID for the damn game need even in so called "alpha" release.

Nonsence, basically crosshair is a major change since they added V3S. "Calm down, wait, it's just an alpha release" and other excuses are silly. They are trying to do something with old crappy engine not since 16Dec 2013. Long before "Pre-Alpha" release. I bet devs will continue add nonsence stuff like "improved UI" or "creating clay buildings", while creating normal version but more arcade like for PS4. Take a look at theit 2015 roadmap today we are in the mid Q2, where is the new renderer? Normal loot distribution? Advanced animals? and other stuff... Devs broke almost everything most players enjoyed in DayZ MOD.

Great now you will be able to die not only from ladders, zombies hitting you 15 meters away BEHIND the wall, accidentally running into a V3S(yes even a vehicle can kill you), desync, BUT also you will be able to catch flu, diarrhea and other stuff that devs will implement in a wrong way, creating a possibility of instant death. AWESOME. All those weird people who is "excited" to see such things look like devs writing here as a players. WHYWHYWHY devs do not care about MAJOR ISSUES?

this is just bullshit devs just do not listen to the community major issues will not be fixed but devs certainly will add some crap like advanced gardening or baking bread that "alpha" is not an excuse for a devs lazyness or maybe davs themselves just do not play their crappy game

so you really think that 6 years old game engine requires core i5 or i7?? Really? and even "intel master race" has to OC their mighty processors to run this piece of s**t? FPS problem is in poor optimisation, we have to wait when devs will realize that they are waisted a year doing nothing and start doing something about how game performs.

Are you retard? Getting a new CPU to fix FPS problem of a shitty optimised game? His i5 is not so old to upgrade it just to the next but again now current generation. Also you suggest overclocking to a guy who is not sure which GPU he have? Pure genius.
