As stated before, the compensator allows the gasses to exit in whatever direction to avoid muzzle climb. This is really only useful in semi or full auto weapons since the follow-up shots can be done very quickly so keeping the muzzle as steady as possible is important. On a bolt action your follow ups are much slower so you would usually be able to reacquire your target again without the need for the compensator.

Dont log out.But seriously, i have no clue. Do you log out right away after finding the rifle? Try logging out with it in your hands see if that changes anything? Try taking the scope off and put it in your bag before logging? Hope you can get it figured out. Maybe check the feedback tracker?

Ill see if i can remember what vid it was in. I think it was a famous streamer runs in to him in one of the interaction vids and he recognizes the name and asks if its him. And the famous guy is torn as to whether he should tell him its really him but decided to lie and say its not really him. Agreed. Although it is usually pretty highly populated so as bb said, you will be at risk outside of novo and its a pretty far jog from the coast. But once there you almost always run in to people to trade with or loot houses with in town without fear of getting whacked.

That'll be heaven for the bambi snipers. Find a spawn point beach and just keep shooting as they pop up since each one you kill in the area will most like have been from that exact spawn point. It'll be just like in Looper.

There are guard shacks in the industrial factory type areas of big cities you can check there as well. Novo has 3, i think cherno and electro have 2 or 3 as well but i may be mistaken.

Mags can be found at the guard shacks or broken down hummers. Along with the 74s and 74u.

It has been discussed at great lengths that the environment has nowhere near enough decay, damage, and feces smeared about. I think i read in the roadmap, feces will be fully funtional by Q1 2016. Let's hope it comes to fruition! *fingers crossed*

I hate how they are trying to "fix" 3pp in order to prevent "abuse". It is only abuse when pvping. Im sure 90% of the lone wolf, true survivors (hunting/crafting/non mil server hoppers) rarely get in to cherno/bernzino firefights. So for all of us who rarely pvp, we get the shaft because they are trying to fix the abuse of something to appease pvpers?? I was pretty sure this game wasnt trying to be the next big pvp game out there...

So my DayZ life has been looking for new meaning lately. Ive travelled the entire map, have been learning the ins and outs of the larger cities as well as finding almost all of the items dayz has to offer. Crafting and different playstyles have been fun. Even some pvp here and there. Still havent tried bandit yet but it isnt very appealing to me. Bugs and feedback as usual but lately ive been logging on less and less. But then i remembered: bicycles. There was talk that they would be implemented. And then this last status report they reminded me that they are indeed coming down the pipe. And now, i have a new goal. Survival is not enough any more. Good gear and a belly full of food will not suffice. Oh no, there is a whole new game afoot. Shooting cyclists. Once the first itteration of the bicycle comes out, until my last dying breath, i vow to shoot at anyone riding a bicycle in DayZ. I dont care if it brings down every rabid infected on me from miles around. I will shoot at you, cyclist. Even if i have 1 bullet left and i am starving while looking down at a trophy sized boar or deer.... if i see a bike go by, or hear a little bell... they will get that otherwise life saving shot. I will go so far as collect bikes from around the map and set up my very own free bike exchange with signs and balloons just so that i can shoot at them as they ride away. Right in their dirty, rear tire wetspot cyclist backs. And it will please me. Right to my core.

That would add so much to the game. Fighting off not only cold, but frostbite on exposed fingers if you dont have gloves/toes if you have poorly insulated or wet boots. Plus tracking game and people in fresh snow. Not to mention the lack of fresh food so youd be forced to save those cans and preserves in a stash for the winter months.

I bring my truck because I can't carry all my gear, 3 friends, and 2 canoes on my back for the 200km trip to where we park and unload lol
