Im hearing lots of things about the optimization and how bohemia doesnt do a very good job at it (considering past practices). So im wondering about just how much better will it actually be once we get further into alpha/beta/release. Basically, at what point in a game does it usually have the optimization mostly complete?

Anyone else have this happen to them? After the game loads the "please wait" thing, you get a bluish/purple screen instead of what you were looking at when you logged out? I can hear birds and swing my cursor around but the screen stays the same colour. Havent tried walking around but wondering if this is a known issue? Also, anyone know when the blurred vision bug (have to click on config, video settings to get your vision back each time you log in) is to be addressed? edit: blank screen goes away when you do config/video. just like the blurred vision.

scratch that. i wouldn't want to subject anyone to these shitty weapons. i will never pick up another crossbow ever again. sorry to have wasted your time lol just wanted to update. did a trade with trev186 just now and it went really well. he was very helpful and fast. he was quick to communicate via email and then in game. definitely saved my ass!! thanks again trev! hope i can keep this dude alive while up north and hopefully do some more business with you again! :)

Running across the map to do a trade today. Following the power lines it seemed every time i stopped to rest there was a gang of zombies on my tail. Kill 3 and run away only to find that im being followed again and again. It wouldnt be so bad if they didnt glitch out while im attacking them only to see them running in place and then end up behind me. Even a pond in the woods in the middle of nowhere isnt safe. Is this the spawn/aggro problem or are they just able to hear/see you from miles and miles away?

im sure there are plenty of private servers that offer RP style that keeps killing on sight to a minimum. usually have to get whitelisted. you can look at the recruitment section of the forum and make a post telling them what you are looking for. you don't need to rent your own server to avoid getting killed on sight! :) just choose a private server that plays a PVE style that you enjoy.

make that: 2 pristine crossbows with 2 pristine holosights and 5 bolts it's a crossbow blow out at crazy cash's house of random crap!

im not an expert on ghosting but if you were in a firefight and you notice that the guy isn't around for a minute or so, wouldn't it be safe to assume he's logged out and is about to show up someplace else? and then just move your position and wait for him to appear? example. you take a shot from a rooftop. you miss. he runs behind a shed. you wait.....and wait.... and then move to the other side of the roof so that you can keep an eye on your rooftop position/ladder/door or whatever, knowing that he will probably pop up on the roof with you after 1) exiting 2) switching servers 3) running to the new position 4) exiting 5)spawning back on the original server. seems like that would take at least a few minutes to accomplish?

How long does it take To dry out your clothes? Do they dry at all running around outside when its not raining? Does the fire dry them out or do you have to take them off by the fire? I know wringing takes them from wet to damp but i cant get them any further along. Seems like the only way to dry off is to find other clothes?

What kind of range/zoom does the longhorn provide? I know its only one shot but is it a viable sniper gun in a pinch (since it uses the 7.54x62 round)?

Hi i dont know if this is exclusive to .54 but no matter what item i mouse over in inventory (bullets, matches, rags, sticks) it says "0 remaining". Couple that with the super tiny number thats on the rag or bullet when not moused over, makes for a tough time to know how many of each item you have.

If you spawn on the beach. Quick look around to see if any zombies. Look down and search for rocks. Once found craft stone knife. Then yes go inland in search for melee clothing and food. Sheds usually spawn melee if thats what you come across first.
