What i love is that in a realistic survival game that opening a can of food makes some of it vanish. Do you think anyone starving to death would give a crap if some spilled on the floor?? Lol

Anyone else excited for the new renderer and the direct x 11 on its way?? Think of a world where your fps is constantly over 100 and no lag or desynch, allowing you a totally uninterupted, and fully immersive, apple-picking experience. Also, with new sound editing youll be able to almost taste each juicy,crunchy bite as you chow down on that glorious treat you found after 15-20 attempts. Only another year to go until beta. Dare i risk to think there might even be several varieties of apples to be picked by then?? The anticipation is killing me!! :)

i got no problems eating apples but like you pointed out, people are still starving because you have trees full of fruit but it takes you 5-10 mins to find an apple. Then you die because you cant eat enough from a full tree to make you last until youre far enough in land to find actual stuff. So we agree there needs to be tweaking is that what youre saying? Kinda like the part i said that we are testers giving feedback?

Just for your info ive never ever been a fan of fps'ers. I dont play cod and i was more than happy with rockin an sks and a few rounds while exploring the map and seeing new towns prior to this patch. I had a few encounters with people but mostly got kosd. I tried to avoid people at all costs but eventually (like 3 days before .55 came out) i was finally geared with some decent clothes and a nice gun (Which i only got from kind traders making trades with me). Now its gone so far the other way id only want to see someone if i could shoot and eat them (if my new spawns could find a gun) But yeah, the way the loot system is now, might as well make jam if you die of starvation in 15 minutes while searching empty towns making you way north.

Agreed, it seems many here have the attitude that if youre struggling youre doing it wrong because you want it to be cod. I hope they stumble in on a new server that has been picked clean up to guglovo. And see how much fun they have starving to death and the screen fades while clinging to a damn apple tree for the 5th town in a row with sweet f all. It seems like everything now is based on luck of the draw as to when you find a server (early on or mid-picked). The whole point is to see what gets tweaked as the game progresses as alpha testers. All we can do is give our feedback.

Ive never stayed near the coast. I have always moved inland since ive started playing this game, sticking to the small towns and the woods. I also never did pvp i try to avoid human contact since ive been kos'd almost every time ive met someone. It just seems now everything is looted. Im not going to crash sites and mil bases im checking every house and shed on outskirt towns and farms and still empty. And getting starved while moving further and further north means all i do is eat apples until i get to another empty town. I guess my guy will adapt to eat books and hard hats until i get to the top of the map where all the stuff is.. or do like everyone and start hunting people and eating them and hope they have some stuff on them, but that requires a gun and ammo which i have yet to find on 4 of 5 guys im playing. Again, i realize this is alpha and in development, im just relaying my experience.

Doing it wrong doing it wrong doing it wrong. Thats all youre gonna hear. If it makes you feel any better i am finding im having the same experience. I am searching small towns, sheds, cars, warehouses, every deer stand and spot i come across on private servers and am only finding duct tape, books, and a syringe. Picking apples and berries have been the only food ive found and even then you have to do that a hell of alot just to get off hungry. I guess people like us simply dont understand the obvious appeal of the apple picking sim... And for those of you who are getting geared up in two hours without spending all of it picking apples, what servers are you playing on? because switching between 4 chars on private i cant find shit. But i guess the new way to play is pick apples for 1.5 hours then jog north picking apples along the way and once you get to the very top of the map all the loot is there.

you need to survive long enough to get north. i don't know what servers you're on (public or private?) but i play several private servers and they are empty. my public char who actually has good gear is parked until things aren't as messed up so maybe the public servers are okay? my new spawn guys never have clothes or backpacks and can only carry 4 apples, although i get to almost starving while just picking the damn things. so the game has become, find apples, run to next town, find more apples, run to next town, find more apples....its a joke. people need to start listening that many people are having trouble enjoying the game because as it is now for many servers, things are wayyyyyy out of whack. i know i'm not an expert. but i've played long enough and can manage the zombies just fine (since 0.55 i have not been killed by one yet, thanks to them not spotting/tailing you from miles away and i stealth well in enough in towns to never be spotted). but my chars never have enough to eat because there is no food and i get tired of sitting at a tree for the 1-2 hours a day i get to play in hopes of finding an apple every 15-20 attempts.

i vote yes for bodies to stay! that way i might actually find something besides books, duct tape, and burlap sacks in this game. but wait, that's what everyone wants so i guess i should shut up lol

when will they implement jam making? i mean, after all that work searching every bush in chernarus for a few berries, and this being a game for old ladies now who love picking fruit, why not allow us to make some preserves afterwards? we can find mason jars, and lids, and some sugar, and do it up right! yum yum!

Lol sarcasm a side, i am looking forward to the new renderer. Any fps boost will be welcomed. And once i can turn a few more graphic options up a bit it'll really ad to the game. And not just the apple designs of course! :)

And eat all the meat raw since fireplaces are broken and there are no matches. Better stick to apple picking.

Logged in to Musty Gaming tonight. Wanted to play there and get some action in in hopes to one day be a part of tatanko's event at some point! Spawn near kamyshovo, see a dude running towards town. i follow him. he aggros a zed. i run up and help him (dude only has brass knuckles) im barefisting it. we lay a smackdown on the zombie. dude thanks me for the help. i tell him no problem (in type, i can't use my mic most times due to baby trying to fall asleep in the next room lol) i'm bleeding so i start to bandage. another guy walks up while we're in the road. he is armed. has a sidearm out and a rifle or something on his back it looks like. he asks what happened to that guy (the zombie). we tell him we killed it. he sees that it's a zombie. he asks "which one of you is cash" (i guess because i typed it shows my name). i wave to him. gunshots ring out im hit, the others scatter from what i can see. i crawl behind a building to bandage up. i look up and around the building comes someone in military gear with a handgun (not the guy that was talking in the street) and he finishes me off. somehow i feel like i was set up.... lol

whitelisted is when you go to the server's website and apply to be allowed in to their server. its basically a security measure to ensure most people that play on that server agree to the rules of the server and are what the server looks for (role playing types, good/friendly people, non- kos'ers, etc)

if its not locked, you can join any private server that isn't whitelisted. it's just like any other server, but your guy can't transfer from one private server to the next, each guy is saved to that particular server. i also haven't found any fruit laying around or matches. i've also not found any ammo but shotgun and .22 as for the drinking. i got that alot in .54 but haven't had a chance in .55 since i never have a weapon out since i have no ammo for my blaze lol

i've been carrying my damn tent since the patch hit. haven't found a bag big enough to fit it and i'm sure as hell not trusting "persistence"... granted, haven't found any bullets for my blaze so i guess it's not really such an inconvenience yet lol

So far this patch i have yet to get rain. I havent played a ton tho so maybe thats it but it seems like .54 it was raining non-stop but now sees a lot less?
